Version 14.12 is here! This patch brings major changes to Naafiri and Aatrox, as well as some adjustments to certain champions and runes, such as Corki, Blitzcrank, and First Strike. The League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational is going to Chengdu (China)! Between May 1 and 19, 12 teams from around the world will take the international stage for the first time this year at the Chengdu Financial City Performing Arts Center. For the first time, we will reward the winning MSI team with a place in the World Cup, which will also mean an additional place for the region to which they belong. Additionally, the next best performing region in the MSI will secure an additional spot. To ensure that the team that qualifies to participate in the World Cup remains committed to achieving success in its domestic league, it must qualify for the summer qualifiers in its region. Naafiri will arrive in LoL on July 19, being the first monster character to join the title in the last 5 years. However, it has not been his spectacular design or his terrifying combination of abilities that have drawn the most attention from the community. Instead, attention was focused on a much more curious feature that the developers have introduced as an 'easter egg' and which was considered practically essential as it is a hero with a doggy aesthetic and that is that you can pet him. This week comes a patch with 28 balance tweaks… Adjusted all support gold gain items and reduced clear speed a bit, as well as lowered Maokai's power. Thresh has been hooked to a new skill level order and Veigar is getting more range on his skills. Changes in the EMEA Esports ecosystem

Riot Games has provided very interesting information on November 18 about the changes in the EMEA ecosystem of League of Legends. This includes changes to the LEC, ERL (Regional Leagues), as well as the European Masters. Patch Notes 12.18

This is the version that will be used in the 2022 Worlds! And it must be said that it has followed the trend of the last two versions that have been applied in the game. The Riot Games team has just published the new version 12.15 of League of Legends. In this update, they’ve given energy-based champions a little boost. Version 12.13 Arrives

The LEC roadshow is back and returns to Sweden this summer

After three years without an LEC roadshow, we finally found out that the League of Legends European Championship Summer Finals will take place at the Malmö Arena in Malmö, Sweden, from September 10th to 11th. The Summer Finals will return to an international stage for the first time since Athens 2019 and we are all looking forward to welcoming them back. Finally, it will be possible to celebrate a summer finals with a big crowd in an action-packed stadium. V 12.12 arrives

With version 12.12 comes a new set of balance changes, but it must be said that many stem from the 12.10 durability update. Some heals and shields are being adjusted a bit more, while select burst damage and initiation mechanics will get the extra oomph that they need. In this patch, the Essence Emporium returns, available for a limited time! The Mythic Shop will be refreshing its content for the first time with the introduction of Ashen Warrior Pantheon, among other content. Nilah becomes champion number 161 in LoL

Riot Games has presented champion number 161 in League of Legends. It is a heroine called Nilah. In the presentation trailer we can see Nilah, who seems to have a special relationship with water, blocking projectiles while she slashes at enemies with her water whip. According to the game’s developer, Nilah’s backstory has a bit of demonic energy behind its happy facade. Nilah is a woman of bombastic and unwavering joy. She is a warrior ascetic committed to a legendary order, known for harnessing the power of the ancient demon of joy to right wrongs and end great evils. She practices a strict code of rites and a ritual that connects her with this demon, her power is given in the form of glowing, incandescent water from the spiritual lake that serves as her prison.

Bel'Veth arrives on Summoner's Rift with patch 12.11

Bel'Veth to the Rift to conquer it! After analyzing the numbers and... it's time to mess with the toughest heroes! Following the drastic changes introduced with the last patch, a cleanup is taking place this week to restore balance to the game. First off, the League of Legends team doesn't want to go overboard with buffs and nerfs on champions as an immediate response to the durability update. They seek to avoid this by taking into account the strengths and weaknesses of each champion based on their overall class/role balance and preferred item options. Second, 12.10's shield and healing power nerfs ended up affecting some champions more than they should have. This time around, changes are being made to individual champions to give them back shield power and healing where needed, or give certain items in their kit more power. Version 12.10 implemented!

You could say that this upgrade could be known as the champion durability update. The development team has been hard at work on multiple changes to increase champion durability. Unlike other patches, which typically focus on game balance through individual tweaks, 12.10 has made changes to increase overall champion durability. The main goal of this version is to change the meta quite a bit. Oh, and there are also skins from the series “alone in the face of danger”. More information here.

It's time for version 12.9!

With version 12.9 comes the long-awaited launch of the new challenges system that you can complete to prove you are the best. Also coming are mid-scope updates for Olaf and Taliyah, which will be available in this patch. Other challenges to be addressed in this edition of the patch notes zombies running into towers, capitalist chem-baron monopolies, foxes dashing around the Rift, an unhappy mustachioed man, and cowboys shooting left,right and centre in ranked. Challenges are coming!

League of Legends has a new feature that will make the players game time even more valuable, challenges. These are designed to become an important progression system for all LoL players, so they will not only focus on ranked masters, but also ARAM fans, Clash contenders, and cosmetic collectors. You will be able to level up each individual challenge, from Iron to Master. And if that wasn't enough, after reaching Master, you can continue working your way up to Grand Master and Challenger with many of the challenges. Do not miss a single detail by entering here!

Patch Notes | V 12.8

Incase you didn’t know it, this will be the version that MSI 2022 will play with from 10th May. There will be a mix of weakening and strengthening of champions to prepare for the international competition, together with the awaited Swain update. They have also carried out updates to the mythic content, like the Showcase Milestones, just in time for the arrival of the prestigious Senna lunar eclipse and the rest of the knights from the solar and lunar eclipse.  Lastly, and not least importantly, they've also a couple of stragglers aboard the latest skins. MSI Groups, Dates and Venue Giveaway

The results of the MSI Group Giveaway is now ready! For the mid-season 2022 invitation-only group phase, 11 regions have divided into three groups: two groups of four and one group of three. The groups phase will start from 10th to 15th May in MSI and the two best teams from each group will advance in the Rumble phase. The MSI group phase will now take place in the Busan Esports Arena. The Rumble and Knockout stages will continue taking place in the Bexco Exhibition Hall 1. They have also adjusted the game dates for the MSI Rumble Stage, which will take place from 20th to 24th May. Patch Notes | 12.7

After a relatively long period of time without any LoL update, version 12.7 is now here. In this version, some changes have bwen applied explicitly on the professional scene. This is due to the MSI being just around the corner and celebrated with version 12.8. The main objective of this patch is to revolutionise the metagame so that there is a bigger variety of selection in version 12.7 and 12.8, but more juicy changes will also be introduced in version 12.7 so that there is time to implement fixes in version 12.8 if necessary. MSI is being celebrated in South Korea

The best teams in the world are about to give it everything they’ve got in Busan, South Korea, during the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational. For the first time in history, the initial battleground for LoL Esports will be in South Korea. The best teams from the 12 regional leagues will put their impressive and unique styles to the test competing to become the champions of MSI. The teams will compete on a global stage with an international public live throughout all the tournament for the first time since the Worlds 2019. Patch 12.5 comes to Summoner's Rift

On this occasion, it could be said that the patch that arrives in LoL is relatively small. Some very powerful champions like Ahri and Gwen have had balance adjustments made to make them less beefy, while others like Samira and Seraphine have been buffed. MAD Lions vs Fnatic – Match of the Week in LEC

It’s time for another match of the week in LEC. This time it’s the face-off between MAD Lions and Fnatic. On this occasion, MAD Lions has found itself in a desperate situation and needs to win this encounter against Fnatic to increase its chances of getting to the playoffs. As for Fnatic, they are trying to get first place in the regular season and to do so, it is essential that they win this game.

G2 vs Fnatic – Match of the Week in LEC

The historic duel between the best LEC clubs took place in the third week of LEC, with many narratives where we will highlight Razork vs Flakked. It is important to note that G2 Esports against Fnatic is the LoL classic and always creates an immense hype among viewers. In the 2022 spring LEC split, the play off has arrived early, in the third week. Both teams are doing well, but with different circumstances. As a conclusion, we can say that the former rivalry between G2 and Fanatic is ending whilst we witness the rebirth of both teams. The rivalry will be back when the two organisations face each other once again face to face.

V 12.4 is now here!

The new update in League of Legends brings a few surprises with it. In the new version, the Chemical Baroness Renata Glasc starts her corporative takeover of the Rift. There have also been important improvements for Kalista, Lucian and Xayah. And of course, there is a new set of aspects for Qiyana and Kassadin, this is enough to get your heart racing. As there has been an increase in the number of support wizards who strolling the streets alone and using gold objects to help them to get money passively, the League of Legends team believe that this strategy goes a bit too far and have also included changes in those items. League of Legends’ season 12 is about to start and Riot Games have now released the official date. The classificatory games to get yourself in a better ELO are back, to both the horror and joy of the summoners. This new competitive season will bring new aspects, like the implementation of two new objectives: the Hextech dragon and Quimtech dragon, as well as the traditional nerfs and buffs for champions that have stayed unbalanced and far from MOBA. The new League of Legends patch brings to Summoner's Rift changes to watch out for. New Chemtech & Hextech Drakes arrive, 6 new items, 24 items have been updated, three changes have been made for runes and Objective Bounties. Plus, the Ultimate Spellbook is back, including loads of Ult-ernates and a special treat for the Junglers. The preseason is similar to Progress Day, but on the Rift. You can experiment and discover until you can't anymore! Also, visually, there's a visual update on Caitlyn, Arcane's skins for her and Jynx, and then, for those who like to have a coffee, come the Café Cuties skins for various legends. New version of League of Legends available

Who will win the Worlds this weekend? In this version, in addition to the end of the season, it brings with it the Clash rewards and the Arcane skins together with Victorious Blitzcrank. Also, as usual, adjustments will be applied on different champions and a redesign for Goredrinker will be applied. Patch 11.21 notes

The Worlds opening and group stages were something else, and there’s still so much to be seen. In this patch, various champion and rune adjustments have been made, as well as a very important change to Goredrinker. Patch 11.20 notes

There’s more to come from the Riot games crew in what remains of the season. This update includes a number of champion tweaks and, naturally, new skins. In 11.20 the nerfed champions in question are Taliyah, Amumu and Singed, amongst others. And on the other side of the coin, Darius, Elise, Hecarim and Udyr are looking stronger. Sadly, the former was postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic, though Riot Games managed to push ahead holding its Worlds in China. This year Riot Games will return to the Asian country to organise Worlds 2021 and the excitement kicks off 5 October! Fortiche Productions and Riot Games have released the first official trailer for Arcane, the animated series based on the League of Legends universe. There were various snippets out there before to get us excited, but now the complete trailer is available to for all to see. And … we know the series release date! On the 6th of November, from 19.00 (PT), we get to learn even more about our favourite heroes via a series of incredible stories. Important! The series is only available on Netflix. Worlds, URF and info on the 11.19 update!

We’re here to fill you in on the updates to the latest version of League of Legends and take it from us, they’re huge! Firstly, Ultra Rapid Fire (URF) is back. So, get those fingers warmed up and get ready to hammer away at that keyboard. Next, it’s not only the new and peculiar champion Vex who’s receiving all the attention. Akali, Fizz, Mordekaiser and Ryze, amongst others, have also been a big focus. On top of everything, the Worlds are fast approaching. The first weekend of Worlds Clash will take place in the first week of October and teams will be put together very soon. The new League of Legends update is here! This time round, the team at Riot Games have focussed on Worlds. Pros will find that there are new nerfs and buffs to give a new, exciting feel to the Pro meta game. But fans will also discover a ton of interesting changes in the latest version. On this occasion it was Fizz, Lillia, Qiyana and Rumble’s turn to be modified, amongst others. Predator’s ganking power has also been increased to push it up to Pro viability. Angsty mage Vex join League of Legends!

League of Legends has introduced another character to its ranks of heroes. This time, however, we’re dealing with a very different heroine indeed. No muscles here, no real faith in herself, and certainly no dazzling, show-offy outfits. Meet Vex. A surly, moody yordle; dressed in black to express the extreme disenchantment she feels with life. This mage is irritated by almost everything, especially anything animated or with cheery colours – she’ll fight off anything of the sort with her Gloom and Shadow abilities. Jungler from Rogue, Inspired, is the LEC Summer MVP!

Inspired, Rogue’s outstanding jungler, has been recognised for his amazing play throughout the season and takes home the title MVP of the LEC Summer Split 2021. Just minutes before the Losers Bracket semi-final between Rogue and Fnatic got going, Riot Games and officials from the European league announced the name of the person they had selected as “Most Valuable Player” in the summer festival: Rogue jungler, Kacper “Inspired” Słoma. He follows in the footsteps of Martin”Rekkles” Larsson, who received the LEC Spring Split MVP 2021. A huge congratulations to Inspired and we hope he continues to put on such outstanding performances!

Who’s set to be win the LEC 2021 Summer Playoffs?

As with all League of Legends competitions, the battle’s going to be fierce. This time round, MAD Lions have secured their place in the final, relegating Rogue to the Losers’ Bracket where they play Fnatic in order to determine which team will face the Lions in the Madrid Grand Final. Ready for League of Legends patch 11.17? The Crime City Nightmare episode has new skins for Shaco, Twisted Fate and Zyra, as well as some very important updates. The team behind Riot Games are looking to update the web browser for faster performance, fewer crashes and lower memory consumption. There have been various bug fixes and, as always, a number of changes made to champions and items. On this occasion it is Akshan, Evelynn and Teemo, amongst others, that have received special treatment. Watch out! Patch 11.17 has changed the minimum system requirements for League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics on desktop. Be sure you have everything you need to be able to battle on!
