Jan Zumbach was a Polish pilot who served in the Royal Air Force during World War II. He piloted a Supermarine Spitfire and shot down at least 12 enemy aircraft. Zumbach achieved the rank of squad leader and was decorated with the War Order of Virtuti Militari, Poland's highest military decoration.
