Wintershield 8 has begun!

Wintershield 8 is already live and running until January 22. The event introduces Eric the Cavalier, who is a Support, Tanking, and Gold Find Champion with knockback capabilities. This Featured Champion can be unlocked now. The second one will be none other than Verthisathurgiesh Mehen, a powerful dragonborn mercenary. Mehen is the latest Champion that received a significant rework, and he will become available to unlock starting next week on January 8. Simril 8 in Idle Champions: Halsin and Stoki Join the Event!

Simril is in jeopardy! A thief has stolen all the food from Luskan, and it's up to your party to track them down. This Simril event features Halsin the Archdruid, arriving from Baldur’s Gate 3, and a reworked Stoki Gackle, focused on quick attacks. Fight your way through the resurrected heroes of old as your party descends into the dark depths of the Crypt of Legends. New in-game currency: Platinum

On Wednesday, October 16, 2024 Codename Entertainment will introduce a new unique currency to Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms: Platinum. Platinum will be the primary way to purchase items from the in-game Shop. Introducing Platinum will dramatically increase efficiency and flexibility behind the scenes. The new currency allows to bring in new features like Daily Rewards, where players can claim Platinum and other rewards by playing the game, and Weekly Offers, which will give players more freedom to purchase individual items normally bundled into packs. Rust 2024 Spotlight

Rust on the Harbour has received a rework that super charges his gold find build-around, especially the buffs he gives and how much better he is at holding on to his shiny gold piece. His new abilities let him affect the weather, decrease cooldowns, and generally provide more bonuses to his affiliation and his fellow gold find Champions. Rust on the Harbour is the sweetest, nicest sellsword to ever be shot out of a cannon. Dhadius returns to Idle Champions!

At the beginning of the first year of Idle Champions, Dhadius joined the champions’ roster. Originating from the game Betrayal at Baldur's Gate, this arrogant mage proudly launched his chromatic orbs from the formation. But over time he hasn't been taken as seriously as he thinks he should be, so he now becomes the first champion to be reworked so that he can finally get the respect he craves. Dhadius is a mage of legendary status and acclaim... at least, in his opinion. Being an egomaniac, he seeks out esoteric knowledge and rare magical secrets so he can know things that "common fools" don't know. Dhadius hails from Luskan in the north, where he is a member of the Arcane Brotherhood, an infamous group of wizards, and is determined to let everyone know that he is a wizard to be respected and feared. Dhadius has been redesigned to modernize his loadout and give him some additional training slots for him to slot into. His abilities have been improved and his equipment modified so that his powerful magic is better utilized and encourages further experimentation. More information here.

This is how Wyll became the brave Blade of Frontiers and swore to use his diabolical powers for honorable purposes. From a descendant of a famous Baldurian house to a life of adventure, Wyll's life as the monster hunter known as Blade of Frontiers has made him one of the beating hearts of the Sword Coast. While he has performed great deeds for the people of the Coast, the source of his power remains secret. The Cambion Mizora lured Wyll into a witcher's pact at a time when many lives were at stake, and cursed him with the duty of hunting down his enemies. Season 6: Elemental Rebirth begins!

Seeking rest and respite after a year of adventure, the Champions arrive in the sleepy town of Longsaddle, only to find it under siege! Drow from the Underdark are searching for a Harpell artifact, and it is essential to find it before they do... Brightswords 6 introduces Astarion and brings back Dob, as well as Dob's teammate Whaleheart, the handsome human pirate. Midsummer 6 Begins

Raised by a community of Autognome thieves and trained by a former Xaryxian assassin, Vin is an expert at performing dangerous jobs. Founders’ Day is marked on the city calendars as the first day of Flamerule and commemorates the founding of the Free City of Waterdeep. Legends of Mithral Hall | Season 4

Idle Champions Season 4 focuses on five famous and infamous champions from the history of Mithral Hall: Regis, Artemis, Pwent, Catti-brie, and Wulfgar. All champions and monsters now have a chance to critically hit with their attacks, dealing 100% bonus damage when critically struck. The base chance for all champions and enemies is 2.5%, with some champions gaining basic abilities and/or feats to further increase that chance. Some champions have formation abilities that activate when they or other champions get a critical hit. Some champions have abilities that activate when an enemy critically hits a champion. In addition to the main champions of the season (Regis, Artemis, Pwent, Catti-brie, and Wulfgar), Bruenor, Drizzt, and Jarlaxle will receive minor updates to accommodate the changes. Solaak arrives at Idle Champions!

Face your enemies with courage and daring, have confidence in yourself and those around you, be smart enough to know when it's a losing battle, and you'll earn Solaak's respect. This noble Kalashtar rides his mentor Tempest, a fearsome lightning dragon, and the two are always together both on the ground and in the air. Being telepathic, Solaak knows who to trust, and sadly, it's not a lot of people. But when the Kalashtar found the soul of a dragon trapped in a chasm, they formed a bond of trust like no other. Solaak now rides his dragon mentor, Tempest, into battle and together they are unstoppable. Solaak is a support champion who excels at ranged attacks, as well as helping out others who attack from a distance. The champions find themselves stranded on Krynn, caught between warring factions. As they search for a way to escape, they are hunted by an unstoppable warrior of darkness: the Knight of the Black Rose, Lord Soth. Idle Champions Presents is back, a series of special TTRPG live game events starting Monday, February 20! All six episodes of Idle Champions Presents: Fury of the Black Rose will air live on Mondays at 10 a.m. (Pacific Time) and will rebroadcast at 4 p.m. (Pacific Time) on the CNEGames Twitch channel. As with previous Idle Champions Presents programs, the event will include voting in Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms that will award loot to players and potentially change the outcome of the adventure. Meet Misty, the Will-O'-Wisp Familiar

Idle Champions has collaborated with costume designer and performance artist Alicia Marie for the release of Misty the Will-O'-Wisp Familiar, coming to Idle Champions on February 15, 2023! Brother Uriah | New Hero

It can be hard to find faith in the realms of terror and almost impossible to find a truly good person. That is why Brother Uriah is absolutely exceptional and an esteemed member of the Black Dice Society! He is the last member of said affiliation to join Idle Champions, and he brings his do-gooder nature to the roster during Grand Revel 6. Brother Uriah Macawber is a native of Ravenloft, born in the fearsome domain of Darkon under the iron rule of Azalin Rex. After a horrific childhood encounter at Carnival with the demonic entity known as The Caller, Uriah would embrace the worship of the goddess Ezra, offering protection from the forces of darkness to all in need. Joining the other future members of The Black Dice Society, Uriah would go on to find friendship, true love, and dark truths about himself and his past. Brother Uriah is a support and healing champion who completes the Black Dice Society affiliation. As Ezra's faithful cleric, Brother Uriah heals nearby champions and increases their damage. In stressful situations, he is possessed by the spirit of Azalin Rex. While he is possessed, he increases the damage of Nahara and any evil champions in the formation. Grand Tour of the Sword Coast

We have managed to recover the Eye of Vecna from Acererak and return it to Candlekeep for safety. We later follow the memories of the Book of Tarchamus to find the Hand in the hands of Lord Bel of Avernus. He informed us that the Hand and the Eye can only be destroyed if they are both attuned to a willing creature that is then killed by the Sword of Kas. Now we are heading towards Kas himself to persuade the vampire to help us! Deadwinter Day has arrived once again in Longsaddle. While most citizens keep warm in their homes and exchange gifts to celebrate the midpoint of winter with friends and family, the Champions have been hired by the infamous Harpells to patrol the outskirts of town... Midwinter 6 introduces Fen, the Drow Dhampir Warlock from the Black Dice Society, and brings back Rust on the Habour, hydrophobic Tabaxi rogue and sometimes member of the Oxventure Guild, and Talin Uran, a Combat Wheelchair-using Tiefling Rogue. The mists of Ravenloft are filled with stealthy dangers and crawling horrors. But this traveler from the Underdark is mischievous and dangerous enough to survive! Fen left her home to protect her family and came to the realm of terror to find a new one. She joins her fellow Black Dice Society members in the Idle Champions roster during Midwinter 6! She has a mischievous and cunning touch, but she is loyal to those she holds dear and a fearsome opponent to those who have earned her hatred. This week's update continues with part 8 of The Wild Beyond the Witchlight campaign, introducing two new adventures and variants. It's time to return to the Feywild and explore the final Prismeer domain! Rescue Gleam's sister before Endelyn discovers who you are. Season 2 has kicked off, featuring five of the Heroes of Baldur's Gate: Nerys, Shandie, Krydle, Jaheira, and Viconia. Wintershield 6

Wintershield lives a celebration of maps in the Realms, symbolizing the paths taken through the new year. As part of this year's tradition, the champions purchased a map from a Waterdeep street vendor. Then it started talking... Wintershield 6 introduces Imoen, a rogue/wizard and member of the Heroes of Baldur's Gate, and brings back two of her companions: Viconia DeVir, and Baeloth the Entertainer. Imoen, the new heroine of Idle Champions

With a lighthearted outlook and carefree disposition, Imoen has managed to remain cheerful even in the face of deadly enemies and startling revelations. With her thief's tools in one hand and her powerful magic in the other, she's ready to take on any challenge she finds! She is a surprisingly cheerful young woman considering that she discovered that she was the daughter of a deadly murder god. As an orphan, she moved to Candlekeep at the age of 10 with her adoptive father and innkeeper, Winthrop. She soon traveled to Baldur's Gate with a childhood friend, where she joined forces with powerful champions like Minsc and Jaheria. Imoen is a support and healing champion who supplements her thief abilities with spells. She increases her party's damage whenever a Favored Foe is defeated and, while she's not primarily a spellcaster, she doesn't mind stepping in with the occasional spell. No one knows what Warduke looks like under his fearsome helm. He never removes his helmet to reveal his face to others, only showing his piercing, glowing red eyes. Warduke's services as a contract killer can be easily purchased. The evil swordsman isn't terribly bright, so he leaves the plotting and scheming to others. He just likes to hit things with his sword. This deadly warrior is a very Tanky and DPS player who grows more powerful the more he swings his sword, all while he reverses the positional formation abilities of the other Champions. Extra Life 2022

The end of the year is an ideal time to celebrate everything we have with those we love the most and a perfect opportunity to help others improve their year. For this reason, the Idle Champions team returns with its Extra Life charity proposal. For those of you who don't know, Extra Life is a wonderful program created to raise donations for Children's Miracle Network hospitals. The money raised is donated as unrestricted funds for hospitals to use as needed. Feast of the Moon 6

During the Feast of the Moon, residents of the Sword Coast pay tribute to the deeds of legendary heroes by visiting their crypts and tombs. When champions arrive at the Crypt of Legends, they find hordes of the undead crawling from the depths. Something is causing the dead heroes to rise and the answer will require a descent into the depths to discover the cause... Moon Festival 6 introduces Virgil, the aasimar storm sorcerer and member of the Rivals of Waterdeep. This event also brings back two other heroes: Penelope "Half-Pint" and Widdle. Storms can be beautiful displays of sheer energy or dangerous harbingers of destruction. It takes someone calm, cool, and collected to harness and wield that power. Local Liar's Night festivities at the Wayside Inn were interrupted by a masked thief! They took magical items and escaped, and now it's up to the champions to stop them! Kent is the new hero joining Idle Champions

Exploring ancient temples can lead to amazing archaeological discoveries, but also devastating consequences. Hunger of the Far Realm

An urgent summons brings the champions to the Rock of Bral. The group has to carry out a dangerous mission: to venture into the heart of the Far Realm and disrupt a nefarious ritual that threatens to raise an Elder Devil to godhood and corrupt the multiverse. The Idle Monster team announces the return of Idle Champions Presents, a series of special TTRPG live gaming events kicking off on Monday, October 17! Seasons come to Idle Champions

There are many reasons why players enjoy Idle Champions: the strategy formation, the joy of playing familiar champions, an appreciation for the history and lore of D&D... and, of course, the rewards! For this reason, the Idle Champions team introduces Seasons as another way to have fun and earn awesome rewards during the process. The seasons are events that will last approximately 10 weeks. During a season, you will be able to complete daily, weekly, and season-long quests, increase your season level, and purchase rewards in the season store. Meet Scotty the Rescue Pup!

For the fifth year in a row, the Idle Champions team is once again teaming up with Take This to host a charity fundraiser! Take This is a dedicated mental health organization that provides comprehensive resources, support and consultation tailored to the unique and diverse needs of the gaming community. The inspiration for this new familiar comes directly from his real-life pup and his human companion Kelli Butler, a professional opera singer and active streamer in a variety of video games and tabletop role-playing games. On stage, she is a soprano with an extensive acting resume. On broadcast, she is known as The Opera Geek and appears on a wide variety of shows and charity events. This relentlessly upbeat bard is always happy to help, and he never lets a little thing like not having a plan stand in the way of action! Dob is a traveling entertainer, busking from town to town looking for his lost sister. Ahghairon's Day 5 introduces and brings back Prudence, the Chaotic Evil Tiefling Warlock of the Oxventurer's Guild, and Omin Dran, CEO and founder of Acquisitions Incorporated. Players have until Monday, August 22nd to complete their event unlocks and objectives. In case you forgot, the next Champion has already joined Idle Champions. Voronika is a Support Champion that allies with evil Champions and members of the Black Dice Society. Founders Day 5

Founders Day is always noted on city calendars as the first day of Flamerule and commemorates the founding of the Free City of Waterdeep. The Field of Triumph is the place where illusionary shows about the history of the city are held, as well as martial exhibitions by the guard and other outstanding warriors of the city. The Champions have joined the celebration, but Archduchess Zariel of Avernus has set a plan in motion to harvest souls for the Blood War during the festivities! This contraption is rather intriguing. If you and I activate it, one can move the heavens and shake the earth. Such is how the world works. What one may fail to do, two may succeed. I have spent much time gazing at the sea in leisure and have seldom exerted myself, but it is my pleasure to aid others in need. The battle ahead is fraught with peril. Millennia later, both you and I may linger in this world no more. When the time comes, someone can return this device to the mountains, which will serve as testament to our friendship." Merilwen arrives at Idle Champions

Merilwen feels at home in nature and is always happy when she talks to animals or plants. She is always ready to pick her trusty bow or turn into a cat to get out of sticky situations. With a fierce loyalty to her friends and nature itself, she will summon the moon to take care of whoever is needed. And if you're really unlucky, you might run into Merilwen's meat grinder. She is a gold digging and support champion who increases the damage of all neutral champions and, when she transforms into a cat, she increases the attack rating of adjacent champions. Her gold find and her ultimate improve when she is combined with other members of the Oxventurers affiliation. More information here.

The Great Modron March 5

A modron sighting is a very rare occurrence outside Mechanus, the plane of true law. At least, it's supposed to be a rare occurrence... But now thousands of modrons are said to have been sighted marching through the desert, heading for Waterdeep! The Great Modron March 5 introduces Nordom, a rogue modron separated from his companions and it also brings back Mehen and Jaheira. Nordom Whistleklik comes to Idle Champions

The Great Modron March returns to Idle Champions, and this time a rogue modron has come for the event! Nordom may be subtly different from the rest of his kind, but he is waiting to process your orders. The Modrons are the embodiment of law and order, marching in unison across the planes. But when Nordom Whistlklik parted ways with his companions, the essence of chaos infected this rebellious quadrone. Now, crossbow-shaped gear spirits in hand, he works to adapt his complex new perspective to his logical, yet peculiar, understanding of the planes. Nordom is a support champion who took on his new designation when they called him a "Backward Modron," and now assumes his new role in the formation with all the processing power he can muster. A young elven wizard is on a pilgrimage to the Grandfather’s Tree and has sought the help of champions to accompany him. He foresaw the falling of an acorn from the tree, an extraordinary and extremely rare occurrence, and he hopes to collect the sacred relic to take it to the Silverymoon. However, whilst the group advances, the forest itself resists them and the Feywild and Underdark elves look to claim the dark acorn for themselves. The Running 5 presents the Dungeon Master, the human wizard from the 1980’s Dungeons & Dragons drawings, and Shaka and Krydle are also back. After five years of Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, a huge moment to commemorate is here – Champion Number 100! There have been so many iconic characters from tradition, the novels, the campaigns and the Dungeons & Dragons shows that have joined the list of champions, that it was difficult to think of a special character who could fit into perfection being Champion number 100. The only option was not to pick a character after all, but rather a Dungeon Master! Dungeon Master is a powerful enigmatic champion, patient and mysterious and always happy to help. Perhaps it’s a busy person who can’t always go to all the areas, but who is sufficiently powerful to ensure that the person training is never without help. A cosmic conflict has arisen on the primary material scene. Whilst the celebrations to start Spring take place in the picturesque city of Triboar, on the Sword Coast, a Githyanki raiding party is descending from above, leaving destruction in its wake. Meet Gazrick

When you are an entrepeneur, sometimes you must get out of your comfort zone to find the best opportunities. If this means becoming a detective, chef, or hero, then this champion is ideal! Gazrick Nomrad is an ice druid since birth, a business-man by choice and now a member of the Rivals of Waterdeep. Even if he feels more comfortable talking about business than fighting against monsters, he will use his considerable frozen powers to defend anyone who has hurt his friends. Spring Extravaganza 2022

The spring has arrived and my coat's already off…! Spring Extravaganza is back and this year's celebration brings a day of streaming, daily rewards, an update of the Wild Beyond the Witchlight campaign and the unlocking of Evergreen Champion. With Wild Beyond the Witchlight, Part 4, the final Evergreen Champion, Blooshi I, has also arrived. Blooshi I can be unlocked by completing Bully for You, the second variant of the adventure The Fairy Rings of Thither. Death isn’t the end of the adventure for everyone. Some champions have a spirit strong enough to keep on fighting! Blooshi is the latest Evergreen Champion joining the list from Wild Beyond the Witchlight! Blooshi is a support and tank Champion coming from Soggy Court in Prismeer. She likes taunting her enemies, and when she becomes overwhelmed, she trusts in the power of her undead patron to return as a spirit and incredible tank. From 23rd March 2022, you can unlock Blooshi by first completing The Fairy Rings of Thither adventure in the Wild Beyond the Witchlight campain and, later, completing the variant of the Bully For You adventure. Festival of Fools 5

Festival of Fools is a sacred tradition in Sword Coast communities. The town people get involved in the immense consumption of food and drink during the festivities, but they also play pranks on eachother. Unfortunately, one prankster decided to play a practical joke on a nearby Frost Giant… Festival of Fools 5 presents Tatyana, the Barbarian druid played by Becca Scott in The Black Dice Society. Some see this giant blue warrior as a bit of an airhead, but those who really know her recognise that this way of living comes from her knowledge that the current moment is all we have and that death could be just around the corner. Tatyana is a fierce defender of her friends from the Black Dice Society and uses her rage together with her druid magic against anyone who threatens them. Fleetswake 5 is now here!

You’ve been recruited by a merchant guild in Waterdeep to investigate a series of mysterious boats that have disappeared over the last year. The Fair Seas Festival is a good moment to study this case, as people are quite open about the dangers of the sea, the fury of Umberlee, and so forth. Many people blame Umberlee for the disappearance of the boats, but the merchant guild isn’t so sure… Fleetswake 5 is also bringing Desmond with it, the lone-wolf Ranger played by Deejay Knight in The Black Dice Society. This lone wolf was brought up to become the King of the land, but he was lacking patience for politics and has found his own pack to run with. Idle Champions Presents: Court of the Raven Queen

The Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms team has announced the return of Idle Champions Presents, a series of special, live game events that will start Monday 21st February. Each episode of Idle Champions Presents will be restreamed live from 4pm until 7pm, Pacific time, on Mondays on the CNEGames Twitch channel. Idle Monsters has joined the Canadian Cancer Society and Brian Gray to create a single family! Codename Entertainment will donate all income from sales of the family bundle Disco the Baby Moonstone Dragon to the Canadian Society until 22nd February 2022.
