GODS will be the anthem of the 2023 World Cup

The 2023 League of Legends World Cup is just around the corner and, how could it be otherwise, it already has its official anthem.
"GODS", by popular k-pop group NewJeans, was written by Riot Games' main composer Sebastien Najand and Mako's Alex Seaver, who has participated in previous World Cup anthems such as "Legends Never Die" or "RISE".
The 2023 World Cup music video will take us through the story of Korean professional player Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu from the moment he discovered LoL in his high school days, to his incredible performance at the 2022 World Cup. It's not about not only about Deft's story and his unbreakable spirit, but about the feat of a team that overcame adversity to become world champions.
