The 1990s were characterized by a feeling of counterculture — a sort of adolescence that tried to rebel against the pre-established notions in music, movies and video games. In the 1990s we got music from provocative rap figures like 2Pac, movies like Clerks that defied conventions in movie dialogue and video games like Doom, that changed the landscape forever. Doom is a great example of 1990s games since it exemplifies everything that made the industry change: it became more mature, aggressive and in 3D, a new perspective that changed how video games were created, produced and played. Take a trip back in time with our 1990s games!
