2XKO serves Culinary Masters skins for Caitlyn, Teemo and Akali in a limited-time Megabundle

24/07/2026 - 07:50

2XKO is bringing three very different champions into the same kitchen with the launch of the Culinary Masters Megabundle, available now through the in-game store.

The new cosmetic collection includes Culinary Masters skins for Caitlyn, Teemo and Akali, transforming one of the game’s most precise zoners, its most disruptive trap specialist and one of its fastest rushdown fighters into a coordinated culinary team.

Riot Games is presenting the collection with a simple invitation: cook up combos. That framing is particularly appropriate for a tag fighter where players do not win by mastering one character in isolation. Successful teams combine assists, Handshake Tags, Supers and Fuse mechanics to create sequences assembled from several different ingredients.

The Culinary Masters Megabundle became available on July 23 alongside Patch 1.2.5. Riot describes it as a limited-time offer containing the three featured skins and additional content, although the complete package, regional price and individual purchasing options must be checked directly through the 2XKO client.

Three champions enter the kitchen with completely different game plans

Caitlyn, Teemo and Akali do not form an obvious trio when judged only by their conventional League of Legends identities.

Caitlyn is the disciplined Sheriff of Piltover, approaching every confrontation through investigation, preparation and long-range precision. Teemo is an enthusiastic Bandle Scout whose cheerful appearance conceals an infuriating ability to control territory with traps and projectiles. Akali is an independent Ionian assassin who abandons rigid institutions in favor of speed, improvisation and direct action.

Their 2XKO gameplay identities are equally different.

Caitlyn operates as a dedicated zoner capable of aiming Rifle Shots, placing Enticing Traps and controlling how opponents approach her. Teemo fills the screen with bouncing projectiles, Noxious Traps and unpredictable movement. Akali closes distance, creates pressure through Twilight Shroud and uses highly mobile attack sequences to overwhelm defenders.

The Culinary Masters theme gives those differences a shared visual context without requiring all three fighters to behave similarly.

Caitlyn can represent precision and careful preparation. Teemo embodies the chaotic side of the kitchen, where traps and improvised ingredients create problems for anyone entering his space. Akali brings speed and blade work, turning every action into something performed with the efficiency of an experienced specialist.

The characters are not being forced into one archetype. They are being recast as three different members of the same culinary operation.

Akali reconnects with one of her oldest playful skin concepts

Akali has the clearest existing connection to the Culinary Masters universe.

League of Legends already features Sashimi Akali, an established cosmetic that replaces part of her assassin identity with the visual language of a specialist preparing raw fish. The concept works because her weapons, precise movements and rapid cuts require relatively little reinterpretation.

Culinary Masters Akali brings that basic compatibility into 2XKO, where her animations can be viewed at a much closer scale.

In League of Legends, Akali is usually observed from an elevated camera while moving through a battlefield shared with nine other champions. In 2XKO, she occupies a far larger percentage of the screen. Her stance, weapon handling, facial expressions and animation transitions remain visible throughout the match.

That makes the culinary transformation more immediate.

Her attacks already resemble a sequence of controlled cuts, spinning movements and sudden directional changes. Moonset Kick and Moonrise Cut establish close-range pressure, Kunai Strike controls space from farther away and Crescent Moon Slash extends her offense into the air.

The skin does not need to change how those moves function to create a convincing theme. Akali’s choreography already resembles someone moving through a series of practiced preparations without wasting motion.

Twilight Shroud gives Culinary Masters Akali room to prepare the next course

Twilight Shroud remains one of the defining elements of Akali’s 2XKO game plan.

The ability creates a space from which she can access specialized follow-ups, alter the rhythm of an engagement and make it harder for the defender to predict exactly when the next attack will arrive.

That structure fits the collection’s cooking language better than a simple weapon replacement would.

Akali is strongest when her pressure feels deliberately assembled. She establishes the correct position, creates uncertainty, changes sides or elevation and then commits when the opponent’s defense begins to hesitate.

A successful sequence resembles preparation followed by execution.

The Culinary Masters presentation adds humor to that process, but it does not weaken her competitive identity. Akali remains the dangerous member of the kitchen: fast, precise and capable of turning one opening into an extended offensive sequence.

Her Wall Jump and air options also keep the transformation highly visible. She is not standing behind a counter waiting for the action to reach her. She is moving across the screen, attacking from the air and repeatedly forcing the opponent to react to a new angle.

Caitlyn approaches every recipe like a solved investigation

Caitlyn is the most methodical member of the collection.

Her 2XKO toolkit is built around controlling range and forcing opponents to navigate prepared threats. Rifle Shot can be aimed and charged, allowing Caitlyn to adjust its direction before firing. Enticing Trap creates another restriction, while Bola and her movement options help her maintain or re-establish favorable distance.

That makes her a natural fit for a culinary theme based on measurement and deliberate execution.

Caitlyn does not throw every ingredient into the same pan and hope the result works. Her game plan depends on choosing the correct tool, placing it at the correct angle and firing when the opponent has limited ways to respond.

The strongest Caitlyn players rarely appear rushed, even when their decisions are being made quickly. They create the impression that every projectile and trap belongs to a larger plan.

Culinary Masters can exaggerate that personality. The Sheriff of Piltover becomes the chef who treats a kitchen with the same discipline she applies to a crime scene.

Every position has a purpose. Every tool has an assigned place. Every mistake made by the opponent becomes part of the final result.

Caitlyn’s aimed shots make presentation part of the pressure

Rifle Shot is one of the clearest examples of how 2XKO reinterprets a League champion for a fighting game.

Caitlyn can hold the attack, manually change its angle and charge it for stronger reactions. This creates visible tension because the opponent knows the shot is being prepared but cannot always determine exactly when or where it will be released.

The Culinary Masters skin can benefit from that pause.

Many fighting-game cosmetics are most noticeable during large Supers or victory animations. Caitlyn has several moments during ordinary neutral play where the character visibly prepares an action, allowing the new costume and weapon design to remain present throughout the match.

Her traps provide similar value.

Enticing Trap is not only a damage tool. It changes where the opponent can comfortably stand or move. Caitlyn can create a controlled space and then use Rifle Shot to punish the route left available.

That is the tactical equivalent of preparing several components before bringing them together.

Caitlyn’s culinary identity should therefore feel less chaotic than Teemo’s and less aggressive than Akali’s. She is the character ensuring that every part of the sequence is placed correctly before the final shot is served.

Teemo turns the kitchen into another hazardous obstacle course

Teemo is the most naturally comedic choice in the bundle.

His 2XKO moveset already treats the battlefield like an improvised playground filled with projectiles, hidden threats and unconventional movement. Sharpshooting Scout sends a bouncing projectile forward, Noxious Trap occupies space and Guerilla Tactics gives him another method of disrupting the opponent’s expectations.

His animations and personality frequently contrast with the frustration he creates.

Teemo can appear cheerful while forcing the opponent to navigate a screen filled with hazards. The Culinary Masters theme intensifies that contradiction. He may look like the smallest and least threatening member of the kitchen, but he is also the most likely to leave something dangerous where another fighter is about to step.

Food-based imagery is particularly compatible with Noxious Trap.

The mechanic already revolves around placing an apparently harmless object that becomes a major problem when approached incorrectly. A culinary reinterpretation does not need to alter the fundamental joke. Teemo prepares something, leaves it unattended and waits for the opposing team to discover why touching it was a mistake.

Teemo’s Merit Badges give the skin a progression-friendly personality

Teemo’s 2XKO design includes Bandle Merit Badges that improve parts of his toolkit during the match.

The system reinforces his identity as an enthusiastic scout who treats dangerous combat like another opportunity to earn recognition. Culinary Masters can redirect that same enthusiasm toward mastering new techniques and adding another achievement to his collection.

This gives Teemo a different relationship with the theme from Caitlyn or Akali.

Akali appears naturally competent from the first moment. Caitlyn applies disciplined professional standards. Teemo behaves like someone determined to prove that he has completed every stage of culinary training, regardless of whether anyone asked him to participate.

That personality can make the cosmetic more memorable than a simple chef costume.

Teemo’s strongest skins traditionally succeed when they preserve the gap between his harmless appearance and his deeply disruptive gameplay. Culinary Masters has the same opportunity. The costume can be cheerful, colorful and inviting while the moveset continues filling the screen with traps capable of dismantling an opponent’s approach.

The collection works because cooking and fighting games share the same language

The phrase “cook up combos” is promotional wordplay, but it also describes how 2XKO is played.

A tag-fighting sequence is rarely built from one attack repeated until the opponent is defeated. Players combine starters, launchers, assists, movement options, Handshake Tags, Supers and situational extensions.

Timing determines whether those parts work together.

An assist called too early may miss or become vulnerable. A tag performed too late may allow the opponent to recover. An unnecessary extension may reduce damage efficiency or leave the team without the meter needed for the next interaction.

Cooking offers an obvious metaphor for that structure.

Players select the ingredients through team composition, define the process through their Fuse and then determine the final result through execution. The same champions can produce very different strategies depending on their teammate and the system surrounding them.

Caitlyn can use traps and projectiles to create the conditions for Akali to enter. Teemo can cover awkward parts of the screen while Caitlyn aims. Akali can force the opponent into movement that makes an existing trap more difficult to avoid.

The Culinary Masters collection gives those interactions a shared visual joke while leaving the underlying competitive decisions intact.

A coordinated skin set has greater value in a tag fighter

Matching cosmetics have a different function in 2XKO than in a conventional one-character fighting game.

Every standard team contains two champions. Both appear during assists, tags, Supers and other interactions, meaning visual coordination can remain visible throughout the entire match.

A player using two Culinary Masters champions can create a thematically unified team rather than equipping one isolated skin. Local and online duos can also divide the characters between two players, making the collection part of their shared presentation.

That matters because 2XKO treats teamwork as more than a background mechanic.

The assist champion is constantly entering and leaving the screen. Handshake Tags change which fighter is under direct control. Certain Fuses expand how often or how dramatically the two characters can interact.

The more active the tag system becomes, the more visible a coordinated skin set becomes.

A Culinary Masters Akali and Caitlyn team can switch between rushdown and long-range control while preserving the same broader cosmetic identity. Teemo can replace either character and make the team more disruptive without breaking the visual theme.

The bundle is therefore selling more than three independent costumes. It is selling the ability to construct several matching duos from the same collection.

Fighting-game skins are exposed to much closer scrutiny

2XKO places greater visual demands on cosmetics than League of Legends.

Characters are larger, the camera is closer and the player repeatedly sees their animations from the side. Supers introduce dramatic framing, while intros, victory sequences and lobby presentation provide additional opportunities to inspect the model.

Minor design details that would be difficult to notice in a MOBA can become central to a fighting-game skin.

Weapon silhouettes must remain readable. Clothing needs to move convincingly during attacks. Alternate accessories cannot interfere with the visual language of a jump, stance or projectile startup.

The Culinary Masters skins also need to preserve immediate character recognition.

Akali must still look like Akali when moving through Twilight Shroud. Caitlyn’s rifle needs to remain identifiable regardless of its culinary reinterpretation. Teemo’s small silhouette and trap animations must remain clear during a crowded tag sequence.

A successful fighting-game cosmetic changes the fantasy without making the player relearn what an attack looks like.

Riot has not announced any mechanical advantages or altered move properties attached to the collection. The value comes from presentation, not from changing what the three champions can do.

Visual clarity matters when the entire kitchen enters at once

2XKO can place several characters and effects on screen within the same sequence.

One champion attacks, an assist enters, the defending team calls another character and projectiles or traps may remain active while the tag interaction continues. Certain Fuses create even more complicated situations.

Cosmetic collections must function inside that visual density.

A colorful food theme can make the characters more expressive, but attacks still need recognizable startup, active and recovery phases. Players should not need previous experience with the skin to understand when Caitlyn is aiming, where Teemo has placed a threat or how Akali is approaching from the air.

This is particularly important for coordinated Culinary Masters teams.

Matching colors and visual motifs create a coherent presentation, but too much similarity could make the two champions harder to distinguish during rapid tags. Each character still needs an individual silhouette and clear effects.

The collection’s real technical success will therefore be measured during matches rather than through static promotional artwork.

A skin can look excellent in the store and still become distracting during competitive play. The strongest cosmetic work survives both tests.

The Megabundle is available for a limited time

Riot Games confirms that the Culinary Masters Megabundle became available on July 23 and will remain a limited-time store offering.

The company also states that its contents may become available through other purchasing methods later. That language means the initial Megabundle window should not automatically be interpreted as permanent exclusivity.

However, Riot has not published a complete external breakdown of every additional item included in the package.

The official announcement identifies Culinary Masters Akali, Caitlyn and Teemo while describing the bundle as containing “a lot more.” Players need to inspect the in-game store for the complete content list, current price and any regional differences before purchasing.

That distinction matters.

Someone who only uses one of the three champions may receive less value from a complete Megabundle than a player who regularly rotates between all of them. Additional cosmetics can improve the overall package, but only when the buyer actually intends to use those items.

The limited-time presentation creates urgency, but the possibility of future availability reduces the need to assume this is the only opportunity the skins will ever receive.

Patch 1.2.5 changed the game underneath the new outfits

The Culinary Masters collection launched alongside one of 2XKO’s more significant system updates.

Patch 1.2.5 adjusts champion balance, assist behavior, throw-tech spacing, dash inputs and several Fuses. Players returning for the skins are therefore entering a game whose competitive structure has changed at the same time.

This is especially relevant because Caitlyn, Teemo and Akali occupy very different positions within the roster.

Caitlyn depends heavily on controlling neutral space and managing how opponents interact with her projectiles and traps. Teemo uses assists and persistent hazards to create unconventional situations. Akali relies on mobility, pressure and the ability to remain close enough to continue attacking.

System-level changes can affect all three even when a patch does not redesign their core movesets.

A new cosmetic may be the visible reason to select a champion again, but players should not assume that every previous combo, defensive sequence or Fuse strategy remains optimal after the update.

Juggernaut now offers a more technical solo path

Juggernaut received one of the patch’s largest redesigns.

The Fuse now allows its single champion to dash-cancel attacks by spending 30% Break meter, giving advanced players another method of extending pressure, altering combo routes or responding to Pushblock.

Juggernaut also gains increased Super Meter generation and a Pushblock with a four-second cooldown that no longer consumes Break meter. Those improvements are balanced by reduced Break generation from successful offense.

The changes give players using one Culinary Masters champion a different way to approach the collection.

Someone interested only in Akali, Caitlyn or Teemo does not need to construct a matching duo to make the skin relevant. Juggernaut allows one fighter to occupy the entire team slot while gaining specialized solo mechanics.

Akali may use dash cancels to develop more aggressive pressure. Caitlyn can potentially spend resources to change how she converts a successful ranged interaction. Teemo gains another option for turning an unusual hit into a more deliberate sequence.

The exact value will depend on the champion and matchup, but Juggernaut is no longer positioned only as the simplified alternative to a full tag team.

Sidekick makes assists more valuable without full tag control

Sidekick also received several improvements.

The Fuse now generates more Super Meter, allows the Point champion to move freely during the Sidekick Super and removes additional damage scaling when an assist begins a combo. Its Pushblock now affects both opposing champions.

These changes support players who want one primary Culinary Masters character while retaining a second champion mainly for assistance.

Caitlyn can remain the central fighter while using Teemo’s projectiles or traps as support. Akali can use an assist to create the approach she needs before beginning close-range pressure.

Sidekick does not provide the complete freedom of a conventional tag-focused setup, but its improved assist value gives less experienced players a more accessible way to experiment with team composition.

That accessibility fits the collection well.

A player attracted to the skins does not need to understand every advanced Handshake Tag route immediately. They can begin with one favored champion and use the second as a more structured partner.

Freestyle now demands a greater cost for its flexibility

Freestyle moves in the opposite direction.

The Fuse has dominated advanced play through its ability to access multiple Handshake Tags and create extended offensive sequences. Patch 1.2.5 reduces its Break meter generation, shortens the Freestyle Tag window and prevents immediate tags after Break or Pushblock.

Hitting an opposing assist also creates a six-second assist cooldown.

The Fuse remains flexible, but that flexibility now carries more meaningful resource and timing restrictions.

This affects the most elaborate Culinary Masters team combinations.

Players using Akali to enter, Caitlyn to control an escape route and another Handshake Tag to continue pressure must operate inside a narrower system. The visual fantasy of cooking an extended combo remains, but the recipe is less forgiving.

That is a healthy distinction for a collection launching with a balance patch.

The skins provide new presentation, while the system update ensures that players cannot rely entirely on the same established sequences beneath them.

Coven will provide a darker counterpart in August

The Culinary Masters Megabundle is not the only three-character cosmetic package announced through Patch 1.2.5.

A Coven Megabundle featuring Ahri, Illaoi and Senna is scheduled to become available on August 11.

The two collections create a deliberate tonal contrast.

Culinary Masters is playful, colorful and built around transforming combat tools into part of an exaggerated kitchen. Coven is associated with ritualistic darkness, ancient powers and supernatural corruption.

That variety is valuable for 2XKO’s cosmetic catalogue.

Not every player wants skins that treat the roster comedically. Others may prefer lighter concepts precisely because they contrast with the seriousness of Ranked competition.

Releasing both themes within the same update cycle allows Riot to serve different audiences without forcing one visual direction across the entire roster.

It also demonstrates how 2XKO can reinterpret familiar League skin universes through fighting-game models, Supers and team interactions.

The collection is strongest when the entire team joins the menu

The Culinary Masters Megabundle succeeds conceptually because its three champions preserve completely different forms of pressure.

Caitlyn controls the match through preparation and range. Teemo turns the battlefield into a collection of hidden problems. Akali applies speed, movement and blade-based precision once the opponent’s defense begins to break.

The food theme does not erase those distinctions. It gives them a shared language.

Caitlyn measures. Teemo experiments. Akali slices.

As a coordinated tag team, any two of them can create a different interpretation of the same kitchen, whether the player prefers zoning, traps, rushdown or a mixture of all three.

The Culinary Masters Megabundle is available now through the 2XKO store for a limited time. Riot has left open the possibility that its contents may return through other purchasing methods, while the complete package and price remain available through the game client.

2XKO has always asked players to assemble a team before entering the fight.

This time, Riot is asking them to assemble a menu—and make sure the opponent is the one being served.
