Discover all the new features coming to TEKKEN 8

TEKKEN 8 has revealed its roadmap for the coming months, including battle tweaks, free additions, and a second DLC character, Lidia Sobieski. Starting this spring, battle adjustments will be made as the development team continues to work to improve game balance and player experience. This summer, the first free updates will be released, including the launch of a new setting, Seaside Resort, and the introduction of Photo mode. In the fall, a new story involving Eddy Gordo will arrive for free in TEKKEN 8. Additional modes, such as Ghost vs. Ghost or Online Practice, are planned to be added at a later date. Last but not least, Poland's Prime Minister Lidia Sobieski returns in TEKKEN 8. She will be available this summer in early access for Character Year 1 Pass owners. Tekken World Tour 2024 starts on April 13, 2024

TEKKEN WORLD TOUR 2024, the first global TEKKEN 8 competition, will begin on April 13, 2024. Players can register now on the TEKKEN Esports Portal! The competition will begin at Electric Clash 2024, which will take place on April 20 in Ontario, Canada, where players will be able to compete to become the highest ranked TEKKEN 8 player. The 2024 edition will have two classifications: Global and Regional, both of which will serve to decide who are the best players who will qualify for the TEKKEN WORLD TOUR 2024 Finals. Additionally, new rules are implemented. The scenario selection will always be random and you will be allowed to use the Special Style, the new way of playing that has been developed for TEKKEN 8. Devil Jin's wrath is unleashed!

TEKKEN 8 goes on sale today, January 26, but Bandai Namco continues to release a ton of trailers to keep the hype going right up until the moment of release. Now, we have a new trailer for Devil Jin, one of the most popular characters in the franchise. Devil Jin is the form that Jin Kazama takes when he gives in to his Devil gene, which gives him horns and wings giving him a bestial appearance.

Silver-haired demon Lee Chaolan arrives in TEKKEN 8!

That Lee Chaolan participates in the eighth King of Iron Fist Tournament was expected, either because it was seen in previous trailers or even in the opening scenes of the video game's story mode, the first chapter available in the free demo. Now Bandai Namco has officially presented the silver-haired demon and they have also shown the playable news of Lee Chaolan in TEKKEN 8. The former adopted son of Heihachi Mishima continues with his particular fighting style, a cross between the Mishima family style and Jeet Kune Doo; similar to that of the legendary Marshall Law but focused on short range blows but of extreme hardness. He abandons the moccasins and tracksuit seen in previous installments to wear a combat suit oriented for the battlefield, although we already know very well that the fighters will have alternative clothing.

Zafina unleashes her mystical power in TEKKEN 8

A short time ago we saw Alisa's movements, but the showcase of TEKKEN 8 fighters does not stop and Bandai Namco shows us in more detail some of the characteristics that Zafina will have in the new installment of the saga. Let us remember that the astrologist made her debut in the sixth installment of the saga where she was key to defeating the antagonist of that installment, Azazel, who after that ending became locked in her arm. After the events of TEKKEN 6, although Zafina could use the power of the demon, in this installment that gift would be getting out of control. From what can be seen, the character continues to be one of the most agile on the roster and masterfully combines long-distance attacks and devastating melee blows.

One of the star characters of the Bandai Namco saga who has not yet missed any event in the saga is Panda, who was the first female character created for TEKKEN. Kuma joins TEKKEN 8

Bandai Namco has been publishing different trailers for some time to present its roster of characters, and the latest one is quite special for the oldest fans of the saga. This is the presentation of Kuma, the charismatic brown bear and one of the emblems of TEKKEN with a trailer that perfectly captures the essence of the character. Apart from dealing blows, Kuma receives some new moves in TEKKEN 8, but without a doubt the most outrageous is the Rage Art. This special ability can be executed when our character is low on health, and does an enormous amount of damage. Kuma's is quite particular, since he not only limits himself to herding you with a fish, since, in the middle of the skill, what looked like a fish transforms into a rocket that goes straight to the enemy.

There is just over a month left until TEKKEN 8 is released and, logically, the promotion of the new installment of Bandai Namco's fighting saga continues to rise. On this occasion the company has presented Shaheen in a new trailer in which we can see the Saudi in full action showing his fighting style. Shaheen was one of the new faces of the last installment and in TEKKEN 8 the changes in control are minor, although he seems to have acquired more strength in takedowns and the combination of low blows.

Victor Chevalier is a living legend who founded the UN independent forces. He is descended from a lineage of distinguished gentlemen whose dream is to rescue those most in need. He followed in his father's footsteps and enlisted in the French army before joining the UN following his desire to save more people. As he felt that the world was on the verge of being taken over by a corporate giant, he founded and trained the Raven Force, a group that has the authority to act at his own discretion to counter the corporation's private armed forces. The installment also promises a new approach to playing fighting titles, with a new aggressive combat system that rewards offensive tactics and offers spectacular fights. This announcement introduces Arcade Quest, a brand-new mode coming to TEKKEN 8. This is a new single player mode that will be the ultimate training platform, drawing on the roots of the franchise to introduce a new way to play and hone skills. In this mode, players can create and customize their own avatar and "visit" different arcades to engage in combat designed to improve their technique and teach new mechanics. Claudio Serafino is the new fighter of TEKKEN 8

Claudio Serafino is the leader of the Sirius Marksmen, a group of exorcists that has been dedicated to the expulsion of evil in many of its forms since time immemorial. After learning from Heihachi Mishima six months earlier about what happened to Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima and their mastery of the devil gene, Claudio opted to cooperate with Heihachi despite strong opposition within his own organization. Claudio also learned of the existence of Ling Xiaoyu, who was searching for Jin. He decided to approach her with the purpose of using her as part of her mission to track down Jin and defeat him. Born into the house of the purifying blue flame, Claudio is proud of his lineage and is willing to defeat the gene at any cost. However, due to an incident that led to Heihachi betraying him, Claudio lost all his credibility and ended his alliance...

The European TEKKEN Cup is about to start!

Bandai Namco Europe has announced that, after the success of the inaugural edition, starting in July, the European TEKKEN Cup returns. The European competition will take place over the next 6 months, from July to December 2023. Eight different regions will host their own Championship throughout that time, and at the end of the season, the top two players from each region will have the opportunity to participate in the final of the European TEKKEN Cup. This year, each region will run its championship independently and there will be no regional final. At the end of the season, sixteen players will compete against each other in a final tournament organized in one of eight regions. Asuka Kazama is an expert in traditional Kazama-style martial arts and a renowned mediator. She once defeated Lili, the young heiress, in the King of Iron Fist Tournament and after that victory, she began to notice that she was followed everywhere. Lili's irrational behavior grew more and more. Returning home one day, Asuka discovered that Lili had bought her dojo and covered it in roses. But those days of absurd shenanigans are about to end due to the worldwide invasion of the G Corporation.

LEEEEEROY… Smith

Everyone in gaming will know what would normally come after yelling LEEEEEROY, but this time it's not Jenkins, it's Smith joining the TEKKEN 8 roster. As some of you may know, he is a Wing Chun master who was hailed as a hero after liberating New York from the gangs. When he learned that the Mishima Zaibatsu was responsible for the war that tore the city apart half a century ago, he decided to enter the King of Iron Fist Tournament with the sole aim of ending it. When Heihachi Mishima, leader of the Mishima Zaibatsu, disappears without warning, the G Corporation seizes the opportunity to seize the throne from the organization. The G Corporation's invasion plans go forward and soon it rules the world under its iron fist. After learning that Heihachi's son, Kazuya Mishima, is the leader of G Corporation, Leroy and his dog, Sugar, know what they must do to restore world peace.

Nina Williams, the stealthy assassin who first appeared in Tekken, is known for her elegant and deadly Assassination technique. She is also armed to defeat her enemies with her style. For TEKKEN 8, her moves and techniques have also been improved, including the introduction of new abilities that fit with the "aggressiveness" philosophy of the game's new combat system. The assassin has been involved in the Mishima saga in various ways for a long time.
