New Caster Mode for AoE IV

The AoE team announced today that Capture Age is collaborating with the Age IV team and has been hard at work growing Age of Empires IV's Observer Mode. This new add-on tool, called Caster Mode, has been designed to take advantage of the information currently offered in Age IV Observer Mode and allow more flexibility for both casters and viewers. Red Bull Wololo is back!

After a historic event in 2021, we will be able to enjoy the largest Age of Empires tournament in the world for another year! Red Bull Wololo: Legacy will celebrate the history of this legendary series with tournaments in Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires IV. The tournament is open to all players, with qualifiers open from June to September 2022. The main event will take place at Castle Heidelberg, Germany, which was also the magnificent setting for the 2021 tournament, from October 21st to the 30th. New patch for AoE IV!

With patch 14681, some changes arrive that have been carried out in function with user’s comments. To begin, changes in the size of the team play map have been asked for and this patch presents the option to select smaller maps or bigger ones in multiplayer mode. Also, specific maps have been adjusted so that they may be better for all types of multiplayer modes and skirmishes. To maintain balance, it was already known that users wanted units that could attack stone construction walls…well now you can! Also, some adjustments are being made to the additional Chinese material and even though the balance changes for the Mongols are not ready for patch 14681, we are looking to focus their function so that they may not be as powerful in every situation and that they may have a more defined place in the unit system counter in a future patch. Seasons, an updated roadmap, and much more is coming

Soon after the launch of Age of Empires IV last year, the development team shared their vision of what they had planned with the first community roadmap. Since then, they haven´t stopped paying close attention to comments from the community on social network to evaluate the data and to better understand what civilisations need more short-term adjustments and which civilisations and maps will require more focused attention.
