Riot Games' strategic shooter introduces a new map, Drift. During the broadcast of the Game Changers final from Brazil, the developer has released the trailer for Drift, which is inspired by Thailand and its floating markets. The inspiration in Thailand is clear for the designers who wanted to create a far-reaching space that would allow players to enjoy. The map, in Simas' opinion, will be ideal for target duels. The biggest challenge of the map, in the words of the designer, was the wooden construction typical of the region.

With the arrival of 2024, the VALORANT Premier system will become the gateway for teams hoping to qualify for Challengers and enter the VCT. This change brings us closer to the ultimate goal: allowing talented players to be promoted directly to the Champions Tour from within the game. This will be the first of several gradual measures and Premier Season Episode 8 will be a transition phase in which a rank requirement needs to be established. VALORANT Champions 2023 Recap

And thus the 2023 season of the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) is concluded. Sixteen of the best teams battled for international glory in Los Angeles, but in the end only one was able to lift the Champions trophy: Evil Geniuses (EG). Off to a poor start to the season going 1-4 in the VCT Americas regular season, the team won three of their next four games to clinch the playoffs. Then they got their place in the Tokyo Masters by finishing third. Coming into that tournament as the underdogs, these geniuses defied all expectations to reach the Grand Final, where they lost to EMEA's Fnatic 3-0. Sunset will be the new map of VALORANT

A Los Angeles-inspired map called Sunset will be released in VALORANT Episode 7, Act 2, pitting players between shops and murals reminiscent of the West Coast city. It's been over six months since a new map entered VALORANT's rotation, with Lotus being the last Battlegrounds to release way back on January 10, 2023, in Episode 6 Act 1. Sunset is a fairly straightforward map that players should feel like a breath of fresh air in its simplicity, and it's coming to the VALORANT servers alongside Episode 7, Act 2 on August 29, 2023. The new Act will also bring more content into the game in a new battle pass.

Riot Games has announced that Premier Mode, VALORANT's competitive path to the professional world, will have a global beta to test its capabilities, beginning later in 2023. Riot has already tested Premier Mode on Brazilian servers and is looking to increase its testing around the world. In an announcement video, VALORANT Game Director Andy Ho provided an update on the competitive team-based mode and what to expect in the future. “This new challenge will invite you to team up and compete throughout the Act in a series of weekly matches on designated maps. If you win enough Premier League games, you'll get your place in a playoff tournament where they'll compete to be named as one of the best teams in their skill division," Ho said. New agent reveal and showmatch at the LOCK//IN Grand Finals

Good news for VALORANT fans! This Saturday, during the last day of VCT LOCK//IN, a new agent will be revealed before the grand finale. The Tokyo Masters marks the return of teams from China

Get ready for LOCK//IN, an unforgettable tournament that will usher in the next chapter of the VALORANT Champions Tour! The matchups and schedule for the biggest VALORANT esports tournament to date have been announced today. From February 13 to March 4, 32 of the best teams in the world will battle at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera, São Paulo, during three weeks of intense competition. With the new year comes the first act of a new episode, and it's already Episode 6 Act I. Lotus arrives, the new VALORANT map

After weeks of expectations, Riot Games has officially shown what Lotus is like, the new map coming to the game. Although currently some content creators can test it, Riot has confirmed that the new addition to the game has three key characteristics: it is located in India, it has three sites and a new mechanic. Lotus is a map located in the Western Ghats. The designs are inspired by Dravidian architecture, from Hindu temples, and traditional types of stairs. However, this does not imply that the map is a religious temple. “We wanted to explore the theme of the great adventure, of mysteries lost in time and forgotten ancient structures. Indiana Jones was one of the themes that we were inspired by," said Joe Lansford, designer of VALORANT. On the other hand, Lotus retains aspects already known in VALORANT such as destructible doors and walls. However, the map adds two big variables: a “silent drop” and revolving doors. With these two novelties, Riot Games continues the renewing trend that it has shown in the releases of the latest maps. Even though Pearl was a more “classic” release, Fracture was a revolution in shooter thanks to its H-shape, zip lines connecting opposing areas, and spawning of defenders.

After several days of clues, Riot Games has finally revealed a spectacular cinematographic video with which Act I of Episode 6 of VALORANT will begin, which will have a new map, Lotus, and whose start date we already know. You can watch the cinematic video below. It is accompanied by the new song Visions by eaJ & Safari Riot. In the video we see several agents carrying out missions, training or just having a good time together while Harbor and Astra roam the mountains of India fleeing from Atlas. With this striking cinematic video, Riot Games has confirmed that the start date will be tomorrow, January 10.

The Masters 2023 is coming to Japan

The VALORANT team has announced that the second international event of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023 will take place in Japan. Over the past twelve months, the Japanese VALORANT community has grown by leaps and bounds, proving that it is full of fans at all kinds of events. The VALORANT Esports team has been working closely together to create a new experience that will captivate fans around the world and they are eager to share it. The Masters will be held in June after the inaugural splits of the international leagues have finished. The Masters will feature the top ten teams from the three leagues, with an additional berth for the winning region of the LOCK//IN event, which will take place in Brazil. It will be a critical opportunity that will allow the best teams to consolidate their qualification for the Champions League. After a busy year at VALORANT, the Riot team has come up with a free event pass and has other surprises in store for players. In this patch, the VALORANT team will address the main issues that players have been experiencing regarding Cypher and Fade. VALORANT Game Changers | Everything You Need to Know

After a year of great regional competitions, the best Game Changers teams will go head-to-head to find out who will win the title of world champion. From November 15-20, the elite from North America, Brazil, EMEA, APAC, LATAM, and East Asia will gather in Berlin to celebrate the first-ever VALORANT Game Changers World Championship. The Game Changers Championship is the first global event on this VALORANT circuit where hundreds of teams have battled it out in regional Game Changers tournaments throughout the year for a spot in the Worlds and a chance to be crowned champions. The eight qualifying teams will compete in a best of 3 double elimination brackets until reaching the final, which will be a best of 5 and will take place on November 20. Act III of Episode 5 begins

Act III of Episode 5 gives us a new agent to play with and it's none other than Harbor. It is a Controller agent and with which you can force your enemies to swim in order to reach the bomb zone. G2 Gozen suffer their first loss since 2021

If you thought G2 Gozen would probably walk away with the Game Changers Series 3 title, it would make all the sense in the world given that the team's reign seemed endless, but Guild X has always been willing to challenge them and take the EMEA throne. In fact, Gozen beat Guild X in the upper bracket semifinals, sending the team down to the lower bracket with a quick win on the final map, Pearl. As Gozen defeated NAVI Celestials 2-0, Guild X defeated Acend Rising, TENSTAR Nova, and NAVI in a series of close games. So, Guild X was forced to fight their way to the top once again, determined to take on the Berlin samurai squad. And that is exactly what they did. In a five-map series, G2 started off well, winning the first map, Bind (their map choice), but were punished heavily on the second map, Fracture, where they only managed to win three rounds. They turned their backs on Pearl with a convincing win once again, but things quickly went downhill. Ascent and Icebox fell in favor of Guild X, with Neslişah 'Ness' Demir putting on a show with his Viper, while also bringing out Omen. Walking away from the final Icebox map with 21 kills, the Turkish titan drowned out his opponents in a style that would make American chemistry green with envy. Shattered | Episode 5: Dimension

Riot Games has revealed Shattered, the new cinematic trailer for Episode 5: Dimension. In it we can enjoy the story of Reyna, Neon and Killjoy fighting against multiple enemies led by Viper in the Kingdom facilities in search of radianite. Upon entering, Killjoy discovers that what they are looking for is not a weapon but a life support system. At the end of the video, they arrive at the underwater city. The agents discover themselves in a comic book store with their pictures on the shelves. The underwater city supposedly represents the parallel universe of Lisbon, which was covered with a radianite dome during a climate catastrophe on Omega-Earth. This location was previously revealed as the new Pearl map, coming with Episode 5 on July 12th. Enjoy the cinematic trailer!

VALORANT gets V 5.0

With the new version of VALORANT comes the long-awaited Pearl map, which will have its unique non-competitive and normal mode queue, allowing players to train and discover the new map before it enters competitive mode. Maps Diversity

A very common feeling among players is the frustration they feel when they find the same map in several games in a row. In a recent survey, over a third of VALORANT players responded that it is "extremely frustrating" to come across the same map multiple times in a row. It is not surprising. Playing on the same map gets boring very quickly and limits the type of challenges you face in the game. Therefore, the VALORANT team wanted to make sure that they could improve the diversity of the maps played without compromising the state of matchmaking. Masters and Champions locations

We already know the cities where the next VALORANT international events will take place! First, the best teams from each region of the stage 2 Challenger events will meet in Copenhagen, where the second Masters event of the season will be held. The tournament will take place from July 10th to 24th, and twelve teams will compete for VCT points, prizes and glory. The VALORANT Champions Tour will wrap up the 2022 season in Istanbul! Champions is the culmination of the year, an event in which the best sixteen teams from around the world participate to obtain the title of the best VALORANT team in the world. The event will take place from September 2nd to 18th, and sixteen teams will compete in it; ten  who will qualify through their performance during the regular season and six will qualify through the last chance qualifiers to be held in August. Phase 1 of the Masters is being celebrated again in Reykjavík

The Valorant Esports team has announced that the first international event of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 will take place in Reikiavik from 10th to 24th April. Iceland has been the incredible setting for several of the big recent Riot Games events and, taking into account the global situation, it offers better conditions to guarantee that the tournament will be a success. Let the Episode 4 Act 2 begin!

VALORANT Episode 4 Act II begins and with version 4.04 the season opens. The goal of the Riot Games team is to leave everything very clean and tidy. They start by giving us the much-anticipated update to Yoru, a makeover to the Controller role, and a revamped Icebox. The cinematic for Episode 4 is now available

Riot Games explained when launching VALORANT that the shooter wouldn´t be divided into seasons, however it would have Episodes making up three Acts. As you know the game has been a success and Episode 4 of the title was released 10th January 2022. As usual, Riot Games has launched a new cinematic, called WARM UP, that shows exactly this, the agents warming up during their shooting practice in their training facility. Remember that Episode 4 of VALORANT will introduce Neon, the new agent for the game, a Filipino duelist with great speed and electric powers. Here is the cinematic:

The latest update that Riot Games are bringing to the game will focus on dark science fiction and the latest technology. The new skins bundle includes skins for Phantom, Spectre, Bulldog, Sheriff, a Gun Buddy, a card and a spray. The senior Riot producer, Preeti Khanolkar, said that the team’s aim was to create some attractive science fiction skins that were different to any other sci-fi aspect that had previously been created. Chamber, the new agent, is now available

After the delay (already communicated by the VALORANT team) we can now welcome the new agent, Chamber, with open arms. Aside from the new addition, 5-stacks for all ranks in the Competitive queue is added with a few conditions in place that impact how much or how little Ranked Rating a group of five will earn. In this act of episode 3 we are going to celebrate the premiere of Arcane with new additions to your collections and you will be able to play with Chamber, the new Sentinel Agent, which will arrive on November 16. V 3.09 patch notes are live

In this new version we will find the new Act III Battlepass. Also, a competitive mode overhaul has been carried out, the Classic has been polished, and Fracture has received some changes. Discover the origins of Nunca Olvidados

Nunca Olvidados is a Mexican-Spanish phrase meaning “never forgotten,” which is itself directly inspired by the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). In Mexico, Mexican communities, and throughout Latin America, this multi-day holiday takes place from November 1–2, and is used as a celebration of the life and death of our families and loved ones. Families come together and set up a small altar which is typically decorated with food, drinks, and pictures of departed family members. It’s believed that these offerings help spirits find their way home to visit living family members. VALORANT anti-cheat updates!

Valorant hopes the last patch was enough to keep players entertained for a while because 3.07 is mostly about dealing with various crashes you may have experienced in the past. Some small changes have been made to Deathmatch, making it harder for you to enter and leave as you please. Also, interestingly, Agents who often get high will no longer be able to escape the upper area of Viper’s wall decay. You can check out all the details here.

3.06 is here, with sturdier crates!

VALORANT has released a new update for the game. The most notable change in this patch is the introduction new types of crates which are more resistant, meaning that they cannot be penetrated by bullets. The new bulletproof crates are already in place on several maps providing more protection on planting sites and also helping defenders resist the onslaught of their attackers. Parch Notes 3.05

VALORANT Episode 3 continues with Act II; 3.05 presenting players with the new Fracture map, battle pass and Spectrum skinline, amongst many other things. Competitive mode has been updated (Immortal rank tiers are back!) and XP for the premium battle pass increased, as well as bug fixes and modifications to various agents. Don’t miss Valorant Champions 2021 in Berlin!

For the best part of 2021, teams from all over the world have been competing with the sole objective of qualifying for the VALORANT Champions. The anticipated event will take place from 2-12 December in the German capital. As well as the 12 qualifying teams based on performance during the regular season, four teams can qualify through the Last Chance Qualifiers in October. Check out the new trailer for Fracture, the new VALORANT map!

Riot Games has finally confirmed the release of the 7th VALORANT map! It’s called Fracture and will come into play in Act 2 Episode 3, update 3.05, on the 8th of September. It looks like we can expect mirror versions of reality and that the map will force players to rethink their strategy for attack and defence, given that the layout is pretty different to all of the previous ones. Fracture has been designed in the shape of an H. The defending team begins in the centre of the map and so the attackers can come in from both sides. Patch Notes 3.03

The new updates for Valorant 3.03 include modifications to crosshair settings, the ability to shoot through Radianite crates, and make it possible to revert AFK penalties due to server issues. In addition, the Viper bug – in which Viper’s pit would start forming – has been fixed. And another welcome change to the game is that agents can now detach themselves from ziplines at any point. V Patch Notes 3.02

Version 3.02 of Valorant has arrived! This time round, the team behind Riot Games has paid close attention to fixing bugs. The problem with the team voice volume has been fixed and so has the issue with reading friend notes on the hover card UI. They’ve also fixed KAY/O’s textures, amongst other things. A new agent joins the ranks of Valorant! It’s KAY/O, a war machine designed with just one purpose: to neutralize. His ability to suppress enemy skills leaves them with no chances, which gives an edge to him and his allies. It’s a character with new skills that will spice the gameplay in Valorant. Many Valorant players were waiting for something big jumping from V 2.10, but according to Rio Games, since this update is nothing major, considers this the calm before the storm that will be Episode 3. Don’t miss the Duality Official Cinematic!

It’s worth celebrating that, finally, fans can know more about the worldbuilding and understand why there are copies of the agents in every team. During the Champions Tour Masters 2 Finals in Reykjavik between the Sentinels and Fnatic, fans enjoyed an Official Lore Cinematic where we can witness Killjoy trying to deactivate the Spike with help from Viper and Phoenix. The State of the Agents in Valorant

If you’re Valorant followers, you’ll know that Riot Games carried out some tests on Viper. As time went on, they could determine how well the changes they applied fit for those less experienced on the battlefield. It seems that they made great strides in adjusting some of the Agents. A new mode arrives on Valorant: Replication!

In this gameplay mode, the key is to push all agents’ abilities to the extreme. Imagine covering the ground in lava with 5 Phoenix! The deal with this gameplay mode is that 5 members of the team play with the same agent, which can make for an incredible experience or a bust. What’s new in Valorant Episode 2 Act III?

Just like we hinted at in previous news, the new map, Breeze, joins the rotation in Valorant. With it comes a new Battle Pass and the Forsaken skin bundle — oh, and it’s your last chance to upgrade your potential Episode 2 Rank Gun Buddy! Breeze, new Valorant map

Valorant is implementing a new feature that will delight players. For the last few days, Riot Games have been hinting at new content: Breeze, a new map. Breeze will be the sixth map in the Valorant series. On this map, you’ll enjoy a new environment, having to adapt to a brand-new setting that’s quite different to the other maps — it features more open-ended sections, less verticality and more angles to explore. Valorant V2.07 locked and loaded!

Here comes a new version of Valorant. You could say that it’s not as packed as other times — however, as always, the changes will influence gameplay, giving way to new pros and cons that’ll make players adjust their strategies. This time, the agents that have received some tweaks are Astra, Razer and Viper. Aside from this, some quality of life improvements and error-fixing have been implemented. Valorant updated to V 2.06

The team from Valorant brings out a new update that aims to gather feedback on the characters of Viper and Yoru. It also brings a new Audio update — HRTF, which helps the player pinpoint enemy footsteps, reloads, and Deathmatch respawns using a simulated surround space. V. 2.05 comes to Valorant

This new Valorant versión focuses on many different adjustments to correct user behaviour. The goal is to eliminate toxicity in the community and make users respect each other under restriction-of-chat penalty and temporal suspension.
