Arkanoid is an iconic arcade game which was developed by TAITO Corporation in 1986. During an attack on the ARKANOID mothership, a small ship called VAUS manages to escape, but ends up trapped in another dimension. Making its way through an interdimensional labyrinth, VAUS must break through “spacewall” blocks to defeat DOH, creator of the trap and responsible for the destruction of ARKANOID.
Eternal Battle mode, the main new feature of this version, takes the arcade experience to another level, allowing players to compete against one other online for the first time. The Battle Royale mode allows up to 24 players to compete against each other.
Arkanoid is one of the most accessible games ever to exist. Its concept remains relatively simple, though the difficulty increases substantially as players advance through its various levels.
