Pendola Pass is not interested in whether Raiders packed appropriately. The Frozen Trail Collector Set arrives on October 8 alongside ARC Raiders’ biggest update yet, wrapping its new mountain expedition in the Renzo Outfit, four color variants, exclusive Raider and Scrappy customization, the Dragon’s Breath Weapon Stencil, a Banjo Blueprint, 2,400 Raider Tokens and immediate access to the new Frozen Trail Reward Pass Premium Track.
Embark Studios has now revealed the complete contents of the DLC after initially teasing it during the Frozen Trail First Look. Renzo is the centerpiece, but this is considerably more than a single skin bundle. The set reaches across several customization systems being introduced or expanded with Update 2.0, including Weapon Stencils and Outpost furniture, while the included Premium Track connects the purchase directly with Frozen Trail’s replacement for the existing Raider Deck progression system.
That makes the Collector Set something of a showcase for the update itself. October 8 is not merely adding a frozen map. Pendola Pass, the Frigate, three new ARC enemies, Amplified Weapons, a customizable Outpost, new traversal gadgets, two guns and a completely redesigned reward structure all arrive together. The cosmetics are designed to make sure Raiders look suitably prepared while discovering how dangerous that new frontier actually is.
Renzo Is Built for the Cold
The Renzo Outfit immediately establishes the visual direction of the set. Its broad headgear, round protective goggles, covered face and layered equipment look less like fashionable post-apocalyptic streetwear and more like clothing assembled for someone who expects frozen wind, mechanical predators and hostile Raiders to attack simultaneously.
The Collector Set includes Renzo in Gold, Green, Black Silver and Ice Blue variants, providing substantially more flexibility than a single locked color scheme. The same identity extends to Scrappy through the Renzo Helm, while the included Bob Hairstyle and Kabuki Face Paint offer additional character customization outside the complete outfit.
That layering matters in ARC Raiders because outfits are increasingly only one component of player identity. Backpacks, attachments, hairstyles, facial customization, tools, emotes and now weapon appearances allow players to pull individual pieces from different sets rather than remaining permanently tied to one visual package.
The Full Collector Set Contains Much More Than the Trailer Shows
Embark’s brief trailer naturally concentrates on Renzo, but the official Steam listing provides the full inventory. In addition to the outfit and its four variants, the Collector Set includes the Renzo Helm for Scrappy, Bob Hairstyle, Dragon’s Breath Weapon Stencil, Scasso Raider Tool, Renegade Censer Backpack Attachment, Kabuki Face Paint, Retro Sofa furniture recipe, Banjo Blueprint and 2,400 Raider Tokens.
Two of those inclusions are particularly important because they connect directly with new Frozen Trail systems. The Retro Sofa is a recipe for the Raider Outpost, rather than simply a decorative item immediately deposited into the player’s inventory, while the Banjo similarly arrives as a Blueprint. Raiders will still interact with the corresponding crafting or construction systems to actually use them.
The Collector Set therefore provides cosmetic content for the character, Scrappy, weapons and the new personal space. It is clearly intended as a broader Frozen Trail package rather than another conventional outfit bundle.
Dragon’s Breath Arrives With the New Weapon Stencil System
The Dragon’s Breath Weapon Stencil becomes more interesting when considered alongside Update 2.0’s new weapon personalization. Frozen Trail introduces Weapon Stencils as a way of applying Raider-specific visual treatments to guns, effectively extending customization into equipment that can still circulate through the extraction economy.
That final point is important: decorating a gun does not somehow protect it. If another Raider kills you and extracts with the weapon, they can take the customized firearm with them. Embark is deliberately keeping personalization compatible with the fundamental risk of an extraction game rather than turning skinned equipment into account-bound objects.
Dragon’s Breath is therefore a cosmetic flex with consequences. The weapon can look unmistakably yours right up until somebody else leaves Pendola Pass carrying it.
The Banjo Is One of Frozen Trail’s Stranger New Toys
Not everything in the Collector Set concerns survival efficiency. Frozen Trail introduces two playable instruments: the Harmonica and Banjo, with the Banjo Blueprint specifically identified as part of the Collector Set.
It is another example of how ARC Raiders has gradually expanded the social side of its world. The game may revolve around dangerous Topside expeditions, but Embark has repeatedly added systems that encourage Raiders to create memorable interactions rather than treating every encounter solely as a firefight.
A Banjo is not going to help much against a Bully or Hydra. It can, however, create precisely the kind of absurd encounter that makes extraction games memorable: two armed strangers hundreds of meters from safety, both carrying valuable loot, temporarily deciding that forming a band is preferable to murder.
Whether that ceasefire survives the final extraction is another question.
The Collector Set Includes 2,400 Raider Tokens
The package also grants 2,400 Raider Tokens, ARC Raiders’ premium in-game currency. Raider Tokens can be spent on Reward Passes, cosmetic bundles and individual customization items including outfits, backpacks, charms, emotes and Scrappy cosmetics.
That makes the currency component significant because it is not locked specifically to Frozen Trail items. Buyers can retain the included Tokens for future cosmetics or use them elsewhere in the store according to their own priorities.
Embark has not yet displayed a price for the Collector Set on Steam as of September 28, so its overall monetary value cannot be judged accurately yet. The store page currently lists the DLC for an October 8 release but leaves pricing unavailable ahead of launch.
The base game is also required separately. The Collector Set is optional DLC rather than another edition containing ARC Raiders itself.
Premium Track Access Is Included Immediately
The other major component is immediate access to the Frozen Trail Reward Pass Premium Track. This matters because October 8 retires the old Raider Deck structure in favor of a broader progression system built around Free, Premium and Legacy paths.
Steam describes the Frozen Trail Reward Pass as containing 60 levels. Every player receives access to the Free Track, while the Premium Track unlocks as many as 50 additional rewards, primarily focused on extra cosmetic options such as premium outfit toggles, exclusive colorways, Weapon Stencils and hairstyles.
The Collector Set unlocks that Premium Track automatically, but players who do not want the rest of the Renzo bundle will be able to obtain Premium access separately. Buying the DLC is therefore not mandatory for accessing Frozen Trail’s paid progression layer.
There Is One Pre-Launch Discrepancy Around Premium Tokens
Embark’s September 23 Frozen Trail preview states that the Premium Pass contains 1,150 Raider Tokens, while the newer Steam Collector Set listing currently advertises up to 1,000 total Raider Tokens through the Premium Track.
The difference may reflect a revision to the reward table, differing wording or simply pre-launch information that has not yet been synchronized across Embark’s pages. Until the October 8 Reward Pass is visible in-game or Embark publishes the final complete reward table, the precise Premium Track currency total should therefore be treated as unsettled.
The separate 2,400 Raider Tokens included directly with the Collector Set are consistently listed across the official materials and are not part of that discrepancy.
For anyone calculating whether the pass can help fund a future Premium Track, the distinction is worth remembering before making assumptions based on either number.
Free Players Still Get a Substantial Reward Pass
Frozen Trail’s progression rework is not being designed exclusively around premium purchases. The Free Pass is available to everyone and is completed through Feats, with Embark currently advertising five outfits, new gameplay items, 20 additional cosmetics and 200 Raider Tokens among its rewards.
Those cosmetics span Scrappy outfits, furniture, charms, attachments and emotes. The intention appears to be a much broader reward pool than the existing Raider Decks rather than simply replacing one progression screen with another.
There is also a Legacy Pass, available free to every Raider. It consolidates the existing Raider Decks so previously earned progress and their remaining rewards are preserved after the old system is retired.
What does disappear is Cred. The currency expires on October 8, meaning existing balances need to be spent before Frozen Trail launches even though the associated Raider Deck rewards themselves are being carried into the Legacy structure.
Pendola Pass Is Why Everyone Needs Warmer Clothes
The Collector Set would have considerably less thematic impact without the new environment arriving beside it. Pendola Pass takes Raiders beyond the mountain range surrounding the Rust Belt into an abandoned Italian settlement once used as an important Exodus transport hub.
Its surviving locations include an old supermarket and deserted town square alongside an observatory and buried train depot connected to the Exodus Project. The entire valley is locked beneath freezing conditions and exposed to violent flash freezes, creating an environmental identity unlike the existing maps.
More importantly, Pendola Pass contains something that should not normally be lying motionless on the ground: a fallen Emperor. Its presence is the reason Raiders are venturing north in the first place. Rare technology may still be accessible within the machine, provided players can reach it while surviving the ARC response and everyone else attempting exactly the same thing.
The Frigate Will Be Frozen Trail’s High-End PvPvE Challenge
The fallen Emperor has attracted a major ARC response. One of the largest machines yet seen in the game, nicknamed the Frigate, patrols Pendola Pass and functions as Frozen Trail’s new high-level activity.
Raiders can find a route aboard the enormous vessel, move through internal corridors, unlock paths and fight both familiar ARC and new machine types. The encounter takes place hundreds of feet above the ground and deliberately combines PvE pressure with the uncertainty of other human squads pursuing the same objectives.
Embark has already made clear that cooperation may sometimes be useful, but betrayal remains an option. That ambiguity is important enough that the Frigate will be excluded from the PvE matchmaking toggle test scheduled for October 13–20, preserving the encounter’s intended player-versus-player uncertainty.
Wearing Renzo will not make the Frigate any easier. At least the corpse may look appropriately dressed.
Three New ARC Machines Are Waiting in the Mountains
Frozen Trail adds the Bully, Skulker and Hydra, each designed around a different kind of pressure. The Bully is an aggressively mobile machine that pushes directly into a Raider’s position, while the Skulker behaves more opportunistically, remaining around the edge of visibility before attacking when attention shifts elsewhere.
The Hydra is tied specifically to the Frigate. It consists of three autonomous stacked sections capable of attacking independently, turning it into a stationary defensive platform that can pressure an entire squad. Embark recommends manipulating its attention and using cover rather than trying to overpower it without a plan.
Together they reinforce why Frozen Trail’s presentation repeatedly emphasizes preparation. Pendola Pass is not simply another loot space covered in snow; it is intended to escalate the late-game threat level.
The Outpost Gives the Retro Sofa Somewhere to Live
Frozen Trail’s Outpost is another reason the Collector Set includes furniture. Located between the established Rust Belt and the mountain frontier, it becomes a personal surface base that players can modify using modules and decorative objects.
Embark describes it as the beginning of a system it wants to expand over time, eventually providing Raiders with a much more personal home above ground. For now, its most important functional component is the Research Workstation, which supports deeper weapon modification and becomes central to the new Amplified Weapon system.
The Retro Sofa recipe in the Collector Set consequently belongs to a feature that did not exist in this form before Frozen Trail. It is not just another Speranza housing decoration being bundled with a cosmetic set; it is part of Embark’s first step toward letting Raiders establish a more permanent personal foothold Topside.
Amplified Weapons Could Matter More Than Any Cosmetic
At the high end of progression, a fully upgraded Research Workstation unlocks access to Amplified Weapons, introducing a fifth quality level for 15 existing guns. Instead of simply increasing their statistics, Amplification opens branching upgrades that can alter how weapons behave.
Embark’s examples include a fully automatic Burletta, a scoped Renegade and a Rattler with incendiary ammunition and a 64-round magazine. The system is intended to make neglected guns relevant again and give experienced players long-term reasons to invest in weapons beyond the current quality ceiling.
Frozen Trail therefore creates an interesting contrast. Weapon Stencils personalize what a gun looks like; Amplification personalizes how it performs. Both become new methods of making a weapon feel distinctive, while ARC Raiders’ extraction rules ensure it can still disappear into another Raider’s backpack after one bad fight.
Stiletto and Bantam Expand the Arsenal Immediately
Two completely new base weapons arrive alongside those late-game changes. The Stiletto is a light-ammo battle rifle positioned as an affordable early alternative to the Renegade. Its fire rate rewards controlled inputs, with accuracy degrading if players simply fire as quickly as possible.
The Bantam goes in another direction. This compact heavy-ammo revolver is designed to hit hard against both Raiders and ARC while supporting distinctive hip-fire behavior. It is essentially Embark’s invitation to live out a frozen post-apocalyptic gunslinger fantasy.
Neither weapon requires the Collector Set. As with the rest of Frozen Trail’s gameplay content, buying Renzo changes appearance and progression access rather than gating the major mechanical additions to Update 2.0.
Frozen Trail Is Bigger Than the Bundle Selling It
That distinction is important because the Collector Set trailer naturally makes the October 8 release look like a cosmetic event. It is actually launching beside what Embark calls its largest update since release.
Pendola Pass expands the world beyond the Rust Belt. The Frigate introduces a new top-end operation. The Outpost creates a personalizable surface base. Amplified Weapons transform late-game progression. The Grappling Hook, Tether Launcher and Yank Grenade create new traversal and combat possibilities, while a full camera system adds zoom, aperture controls, manual and automatic focus and a selfie mode whose photographs are stored in the Codex.
A Skill Tree rework, additional questlines and another Map Condition are also coming, with more details expected in the final October 8 patch notes.
Renzo is arriving during a much larger reshaping of ARC Raiders.
Renzo Is the Uniform for ARC Raiders’ Next Frontier
The Frozen Trail Collector Set launches October 8 on the same day as Update 2.0. Its strongest selling point is obvious: Renzo provides a distinctive cold-weather identity designed specifically around Pendola Pass. But Embark has made the package broader than its short trailer initially suggests.
There are four Renzo color variants, a Scrappy helmet, Bob Hairstyle, Kabuki Face Paint, Scasso Tool and Renegade Censer. Dragon’s Breath introduces buyers directly to Weapon Stencils. The Retro Sofa has a home inside the new Outpost. The Banjo connects with Frozen Trail’s expanding social systems. The package adds 2,400 Raider Tokens and unlocks the Reward Pass Premium Track from the start.
None of that will stop an Emperor, prevent a Skulker from ambushing you or make another Raider trustworthy aboard the Frigate.
But if Pendola Pass is going to kill you anyway, there is apparently no requirement to freeze badly dressed.
