Barotrauma is a co-op terror submarine survival simulator inspired by games like FTL: Faster Than Light, Rimworld, Dwarf Fortress, and Space Station 13. It is a science fiction game that combines “rag doll” physics and extra-terrestrial marine monsters with teamwork and existential fear.

In a not-so-distant future, humanity has arrived at one of Jupiter’s moons whose frozen surface full of radiation only allows life in the depths of the ocean found below the ice. Travel through an inhospitable submarine world and discover what is hiding in its depths.

In Barotrauma, there are just as many ways to enjoy as there are to die. Work side by side with your team to achieve your objectives or face disloyalty when there are traitors on board. Play with friends, strangers, or with your worst enemies.

EXPLORE, OPERATE, COMMUNICATE

Navigate through the depths of the sea, complete missions for humanity’s last survivors, explore the ruins of an alien civilization, and fight or escape from monsters. Operate complex systems on board and devices such as the sonar, a nuclear reactor, weapons, motors, and bombs. Communication is key!

EXPERIMENT, CREATE, BUILD

Master the complex wiring system on board and the complete medicine and construction systems. Create your own submarines and monsters with internal editors to compete against the ones created by default in the game. You can even edit our source code and have a field day making mods.
