The Thousand-Year Blood War arc continues to expand within BLEACH Brave Souls, as KLab introduces a new special summoning event featuring content directly inspired by the anime's final arc. The new Crown Summons: Pieris banner introduces brand-new versions of classic characters and improves the odds of acquiring high-rarity units through a step-up reward system.
The biggest highlight is the arrival of new variants based on Bleach:Thousand-Year Blood War, reinforcing a strategy that has proven highly successful for the game: capitalizing on the renewed global interest in the franchise following the anime’s return.
Among the standout additions are Shinji (Thousand-Year Blood War 2026 version) and Momo (Thousand-Year Blood War 2026 version). Both characters receive new visual designs and updated kits likely tailored to the darker, more war-torn context of the final arc.
This event comes with a 6% drop rate for 5★characters, a notable figure within the gacha ecosystem, where pull percentages instantly become a major talking point among the community.
The banner's progression system also incorporates several guaranteed milestones designed to partially mitigate randomness (RNG). The 10x summons on Steps 10 and 20 guarantee a new 5★character, while Step 25 directly unlocks a Choose a New 5★Character Summons Ticket (Pieris).
This ticket allows players to manually select one of the available featured characters, removing total reliance on luck after a significant investment of resources or currency.
The inclusion of guaranteed selection mechanics reflects a growing trend in modern gacha games. Studios are actively trying to lessen the frustration associated with long summoning droughts, especially when dealing with characters tied to major events or extremely popular story arcs.
In this regard, the Thousand-Year Blood War remains one of the biggest driving forces behind Bleach: Brave Souls. The anime’s revival has massively revitalized the franchise, bringing characters who had been out of the spotlight for years back into focus.
The arrival of new versions of Shinji and Momo is also highly compelling due to their narrative roles. Both characters have pivotal moments during the final conflict, so many players are expecting abilities directly inspired by their battles and growth during the war against the Quincy.
The community has already begun debating whether these new units will have a real impact on the competitive meta or if they will be geared more toward collectors and PvE content. As with any major banner release, first impressions regarding stats and skills will likely dominate the conversation over the coming days.
With Crown Summons: Pieris, BLEACH Brave Souls continues to tap into one of the most intense and beloved eras of the entire franchise. For players who have been waiting to expand their rosters with updated versions of classic characters, the Thousand-Year Blood War clearly still has a few more tricks up its sleeve.
