Bleach: Brave Souls is celebrating Halloween by putting one of Soul Society's most recognisable partnerships back together in considerably less traditional uniforms. Halloween Glory Summons: Trick is live with brand-new ★5 Halloween versions of Yoruichi Shihōin and Soi Fon, backed by a 41-step structure that guarantees a ★5 on every x10 Summons and reserves Steps 10, 20, 30 and 40 specifically for one of the two new characters. The banner runs from October 17 through November 5, giving players almost three weeks to decide how deeply they want to commit their Spirit Orbs.
The costumes provide the seasonal hook, but the kits are aimed squarely at useful endgame roles rather than existing solely as collectibles. Yoruichi is a ranged Normal Attack character built around filling a Gauge, maintaining full Stamina through Drain and massively amplifying her normal attacks once the Gauge comes online. Soi Fon takes the melee route, combining Paralysis+, a large static vortex, a Major Boost and Guild Quest-specific Flurry +4. Both also bring team support, making Trick a banner where the Halloween theme is considerably lighter than the actual buildcraft underneath it.
Yoruichi turns sustained normal attacks into her power spike
Halloween Yoruichi is a ranged Normal Attack character with No Affiliation Killer+, and her core mechanic is a Gauge filled through her normal attacks. Once activated, that Gauge adds Flurry +1 and Bruiser +100%, dramatically increasing the value of continuing to attack rather than rotating primarily through Strong Attacks.
KLab has deliberately reduced the amount of time she needs before reaching that state. Start Gauge +70% outside Brave Battles places her close to activation immediately, while Gauge Rampage makes it easier to return to the empowered state during longer encounters. The result is a character whose damage ceiling is tied to a mechanic but who does not need half a quest to access the part of the kit that makes her interesting.
Her second and third Strong Attacks are primarily support tools. Strong Attack 2 provides a conventional Boost, while Strong Attack 3 carries a Major Boost with increased effect and duration, significantly raising offensive and defensive stats for both Yoruichi and her allies. That allows her to contribute to the team even though her personal damage pattern remains centred on normal attacks.
Drain helps Yoruichi keep her full-Stamina bonuses active
Almost every offensive attack outside those two Boost abilities can inflict Drain/Paralysis, giving Yoruichi both crowd control and self-sustain. Paralysis can lock enemies down while Drain restores her Stamina, and that healing directly supports another major part of her build: damage bonuses that require her to remain at full health.
Her Soul Trait provides Damage inflicted at full STA +30%, while her EX Skill contributes another EX Damage inflicted at full STA +25%. A character relying on full-Stamina modifiers normally needs to avoid chip damage carefully or recover through external support, but Drain gives Yoruichi a built-in method of restoring the condition that activates those bonuses.
She also carries Greater Status Ailment Chance Against No Affiliation Enemies +20%, reinforcing the interaction between her Killer target and her Drain/Paralysis application. KLab specifically positions her as a strong non-controlled option for Guild Quests featuring No Affiliation Killer and increased ranged damage rules, where an AI-controlled normal attacker can benefit from her Gauge, Boost and sustain without requiring constant manual setup.
Yoruichi also helps Strong Attack-focused Soul Reapers
The unusual part of her support package is (Team/Party) Soul Reaper Strong Attack Damage +20%. Yoruichi herself is built around normal attacks, yet she increases Strong Attack output for Soul Reaper allies around her.
That creates a useful division of labour in team compositions. Yoruichi can occupy the normal-attack damage slot while Strong Attack-focused Soul Reapers gain additional output simply from sharing the party with her. Her Boosts then improve the same allies further, giving the character more value than her personal DPS numbers alone suggest.
Her first-slot link potential should also matter to players who eventually stop using her actively. The full-Stamina Soul Trait can be combined with her shareable EX Damage inflicted at full STA +25%, allowing another damage-focused character to inherit a substantial offensive package. Even players with crowded No Affiliation rosters therefore have a reason to look at her beyond her immediate combat role.
Soi Fon is much more explicitly aimed at Guild Quest damage
If Yoruichi is the more flexible normal attacker, Halloween Soi Fon looks designed to hit a very specific piece of Brave Souls endgame extremely hard. She is a melee Normal Attack character with Quincy Killer+, Normal Attack Damage +40% as her Soul Trait and, most importantly, Flurry in Guild Quests +4.
That Guild Quest modifier immediately defines her intended niche. The additional normal-attack hits can produce enormous value when she enters the appropriate Quincy Killer and melee-damage rules, while her wider kit is constructed to keep targets controlled and allies buffed throughout the run.
All of her attacks except Strong Attack 3 can inflict Paralysis+, and Strong Attack 2 is a Major Static Vortex. Combined with Greater Status Ailment Chance Against Quincies +20%, that vortex gives her repeated opportunities to lock Quincy enemies down. Instead of asking a normal-attack unit to sacrifice time using a Strong Attack solely for utility, the move creates a large persistent source of status application before Soi Fon returns to her primary attack chain.
Her Major Boost makes Soi Fon useful before the first normal attack lands
Strong Attack 3 provides a Major Boost, enhanced further by Booster and Enhancer. That gives Soi Fon another important Guild Quest quality: she can substantially improve the squad rather than functioning only as an isolated damage dealer.
Her team passive then adds Soul Reaper Damage to Status Ailment-Affected Enemies +20%. Because Soi Fon is particularly good at applying Paralysis+ herself, this creates a straightforward internal loop. She inflicts the status, her Soul Reaper teammates deal additional damage to the affected enemy and her Major Boost further increases the team's output.
KLab describes her specifically as a strong non-controlled Guild Quest character for Quincy Killer and increased melee damage conditions. That distinction matters. Her kit does not need to be evaluated as a universal manual-play character for every quest in Brave Souls to be valuable. Guild Quest specialists can justify roster slots simply by being exceptionally efficient in the weeks designed around their exact Killer and attack type.
Soi Fon may become just as useful as a character link
Her link package is also unusually attractive for normal-attack characters. Normal Attack Damage +40% is already a high-value Soul Trait, and when Soi Fon occupies the first Link Slot she can additionally share EX Start Barrier +10 and EX Bruiser +25%.
The Barrier adds immediate survivability, while Bruiser directly increases normal-attack damage. That combination allows her to support another NAD-focused character without forcing players to choose between offence and a meaningful defensive buffer.
It gives Trick a useful long-term dimension. Gacha characters inevitably rotate out of the front line as stronger releases arrive, but excellent links retain value far beyond the period when the character is considered optimal as an active unit. Both new Halloween characters have been designed with shareable EX Skills that can keep them relevant even after their original combat niches become more crowded.
The banner’s guarantee structure is far more important than the headline 0.75%
Each of the four featured ★5 characters carries an individual 0.75% draw rate, but Halloween Glory Summons: Trick relies heavily on guaranteed steps rather than asking players to chase the new units entirely through raw probability.
Steps 5, 15, 25 and 35 guarantee one of the four featured ★5 characters. Steps 10, 20, 30 and 40 go further by guaranteeing one of the new ★5 characters, meaning Yoruichi or Soi Fon. That makes every tenth step the critical milestone for anybody entering specifically for the 2026 Halloween units.
Every x10 Summons also guarantees at least one ★5 character, although KLab explicitly warns that this can include characters outside the featured group. In practical terms, seeing a guaranteed ★5 animation on an ordinary step does not mean the pull has hit one of the four rate-up characters. The dedicated Featured and New Character steps remain the points where the banner meaningfully narrows the possible result.
After Step 40, Step 41 becomes repeatable without limit. Players who have already exhausted all fixed guarantees can therefore continue pulling, but they are back in the repeatable part of the banner rather than progressing toward another Step 50-style new-character guarantee.
Forty steps represent a very different commitment from testing the banner
At the listed standard rate of 250 Spirit Orbs for a x10 Summons, completing all 40 fixed x10 Steps represents a major investment. Players do at least receive four guaranteed new-character checkpoints during that journey, rather than spending the entire amount against the standard 0.75% individual featured rate.
That structure makes stopping points unusually easy to identify. Someone interested in testing their luck can aim for the first featured guarantee at Step 5. Players specifically targeting Yoruichi or Soi Fon have a much more meaningful checkpoint at Step 10 because it guarantees one of the two newcomers. The same pattern then repeats every ten steps until Step 40.
The value proposition changes dramatically depending on what the account actually needs. A player missing both new characters has a strong reason to value the early guaranteed-new step. Someone who pulls Yoruichi immediately and only wants Soi Fon is entering a much less comfortable chase because later new-character guarantees can still return the character they already own. KLab does not describe those checkpoints as selectors; they guarantee one of the new ★5 characters, not a player-chosen unit.
Trick Summons Medals give every draw an additional resource
Every individual draw also awards one Trick Summons Medal, including x1 Summons. KLab notes that medals earned through single pulls are sent directly to the Gift Box without displaying the normal acquisition pop-up.
The public announcement confirms the medal acquisition system but does not spell out the complete reward inventory attached to those medals, so players should check the live in-game notice and Exchange information before treating them as equivalent to medals from another Glory Summons. That is particularly important because recent Brave Souls banners have used named Summons Medals alongside their own dedicated reward structures, but the contents can vary between releases.
What is clear is that the system gives each pull a second progression layer beyond the character result itself. Even a draw that misses the desired ★5 still advances the Medal total, which slightly reduces the feeling of completely dead expenditure during a long step-up run.
Halloween arrives in the middle of Brave Souls’ new Glory Summons era
Trick also continues the Glory Summons structure KLab has been using through recent 2026 banners such as Thousand-Year Blood War Glory Summons: Awe and White Poppy. Those releases similarly featured four headline ★5 characters at 0.75% each, guaranteed featured characters at five-step intervals and guaranteed newcomers every tenth step.
That makes the Halloween banner less of an isolated seasonal experiment and more of the current Brave Souls gacha format dressed for October. Players familiar with White Poppy will immediately recognise the basic step progression; what changes is the roster and therefore the value of each guarantee.
The important evolution is how strongly the characters themselves now interact with newer systems such as EX Skills, advanced status ailments, Gauge mechanics and highly specialised Guild Quest effects. Seasonal units are no longer novelty alternatives to the serious endgame roster. Yoruichi and Soi Fon arrive wearing Halloween costumes while carrying kits built specifically to compete with the increasingly elaborate 2026 character pool.
Yoruichi and Soi Fon give Trick two very different reasons to summon
Halloween Glory Summons: Trick is available from October 17 at 16:00 JST through November 5 at 15:59 JST. The banner introduces new Halloween versions of Yoruichi and Soi Fon, contains four featured ★5 characters at 0.75% each and guarantees a featured unit at Steps 5, 15, 25 and 35. Steps 10, 20, 30 and 40 guarantee one of the two new Halloween characters, while every x10 pull guarantees at least one ★5 and Step 41 can be repeated indefinitely.
The two newcomers also avoid occupying exactly the same niche. Yoruichi offers ranged normal-attack pressure, Gauge scaling, Drain/Paralysis, powerful Boost support and No Affiliation utility. Soi Fon is a melee Guild Quest specialist built around Quincy Killer+, Paralysis+, a Major Static Vortex, Major Boost and Flurry in Guild Quests +4.
The costumes say Halloween.
The kits say KLab still expects you to bring them to work afterward.
