Brawlhalla unleashes Mordex’s ultimate form and gears up for a reward-packed free festival

The ultimate transformation of one of Brawlhalla’s most popular characters is about to begin. Blue Mammoth Games has officially unveiled Patch10.07, marking the return of Brawlhalla Fest 2026—an annual event that this year revolves almost entirely around Mordex and a new ascended version designed to turn him into a true, uncontrollable force.
The star of the show is Ascended Mordex, a brand-new skin that takes the legendary werewolf's look to a much more over-the-top, supernatural level. According to the official description, Mordex has finally achieved his goal of attaining "absolute power," which is visually represented by an even more aggressive appearance... including two extra ethereal wolf heads.
Yes, Blue Mammoth has decided to fully embrace the excess with this transformation.
But the arrival of Ascended Mordex isn't just a cosmetic upgrade. The event's narrative even claims that the character has seized control of the Fortress of Lions, transforming the stage into a frozen new version called the Fortress of Wolves—complete with in-universe jokes about the impact this hostile takeover might have on the OEL.
The update will be live starting May 20 and will bring a massive wave of free content for players. Standout rewards include the new Blood Moon Colors and the Lycan Trinity Podium, items clearly designed to reinforce the event's wild, lunar theme.
However, the festival goes far beyond simple cosmetics.
BrawlhallaFest 2026 will feature weekly special events aimed at keeping player engagement high throughout the entire celebration. Among the confirmed additions is a free rotation of every single character in the game, allowing players to test out any Legend without the usual temporary restrictions.
For many new or casual players, this is typically one of the best opportunities of the year to experiment with characters that normally require unlocking.
The update also introduces a 2v1 cooperative PvE mode, temporarily shifting the game's traditional competitive focus toward battles against AI-controlled enemies. These types of special modes tend to perform exceptionally well during events because they offer a welcome break from the usual ranked ladder grind.
To sweeten the deal, Blue Mammoth is once again rolling out exclusive Twitch Drops, incentivizing players to tune into content creators and competitive Brawlhalla tournaments.
All of this fits perfectly into the strategy the game has been cultivating for years: maintaining an extremely active community through frequent events, constant rewards, and an increasingly exaggerated, self-referential visual identity.
Centering the event on Mordex is no surprise either. The character remains one of the most recognizable and frequently played fighters in the game, especially among competitive players who favor his high mobility and aggressive playstyle.
With Ascended Mordex leading the chaos, BrawlhallaFest 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most extravagant editions of the event yet. And judging by the sheer scale of this new transformation, it looks like the werewolf has finally gotten exactly what he's been hunting for all these years: more power... and a few extra wolf heads.
