Sidra sails back from the grave as Brawlhalloween 2026 turns Valhalla into a ghostly pirate hunt

The dead have taken command of the ship this Halloween. Brawlhalloween 2026 is now live in Brawlhalla, bringing Blue Mammoth Games’ long-running seasonal celebration back to Valhalla with a new pirate theme centred on Sidra, a completely earnable Ghost Pirate skin, the spectral parrot Ringo, the return of Ghoulish Colors and more than 20 seasonal skins returning to Mallhalla.
This year’s event is built around the Event Center system introduced into Brawlhalloween last year, but the reward structure has been expanded and made less demanding in one important area. Players can earn Tickets through October 28, spend them on a new collection of Halloween rewards and work toward Ghost Pirate Sidra as the grand prize, while the requirement for permanently unlocking the Ghoulish Color Scheme across the roster has dropped substantially compared with 2025. After October 28, Ticket earning ends, but Blue Mammoth is keeping the Event Center open for one additional week so players can finish redeeming anything they have left.
Ghost Pirate Sidra takes command of Brawlhalloween
Brawlhalloween has traditionally jumped between vampires, monsters, undead warriors and increasingly bizarre costumes, but 2026 gives the event a more unified theme. Blue Mammoth describes the celebration as a voyage “across the nine realms from beyond the grave,” with Sidra and her supernatural crew serving as the centrepiece rather than simply adding another unrelated Halloween skin to Mallhalla.
The main reward is Ghost Pirate Sidra, a new seasonal interpretation of one of Brawlhalla’s most appropriate Legends for the concept. Sidra already fights with Sword and Cannon and is deeply associated with piracy, so turning her into an undead captain requires considerably less thematic stretching than most Halloween transformations. The new design pushes that fantasy into the supernatural, presenting her as the commander of a spectral crew returning to Valhalla from somewhere considerably less pleasant.
Unlike the majority of Brawlhalloween skins available through the store, Ghost Pirate Sidra sits at the top of the Event Center progression, giving players a route toward obtaining the headline cosmetic through event participation. Blue Mammoth introduced this broader earnable seasonal structure throughout 2025, allowing major events to provide substantial cosmetic rewards rather than reserving almost everything for Mammoth Coin purchases.
Ringo joins the crew alongside six smaller Event Center rewards
Sidra is not sailing alone. The other major new character in the reward track is Ringo, a spectral parrot Sidekick designed to accompany the ghost-pirate theme. He is joined by the new “Ghost Pirate” Title and four Halloween Emoji Skins: Reanimated Lookin’ Good, Corpse Bride Cry, Werewolf Sweat and Cth’ink.
Those Emoji rewards pull several established Brawlhalloween characters back into the Event Center rather than creating an entirely separate visual identity for every item. Petra’s reanimated look, Mirage’s Corpse Bride appearance, Werewolf Thatch and Brawlhalla’s Cthulhu-inspired material are all represented, allowing the free progression track to function partly as a retrospective on previous Halloween cosmetics while Sidra and Ringo provide the genuinely new headline rewards.
Tickets can be earned from October 7 through October 28. Once that active period ends, there is an additional week during which previously earned Tickets can still be exchanged for Event Center items. Mammoth Coins can also be used during the redemption period for players who want to finish the collection after free Ticket generation has closed.
That split is important because the event itself effectively lasts longer than the active grind. Players do not need to panic-spend their currency on October 28, but they do need to complete their Ticket-generating missions before then.
Ghoulish Colors now require wins with only 45 Legends
One of Brawlhalloween 2026’s most useful changes concerns the Ghoulish Color Scheme, which returns as a gameplay reward instead of moving behind a premium purchase. Winning a matchmade game with a Legend permanently unlocks the Ghoulish palette for that specific character, allowing players to gradually build a collection simply by rotating through the roster.
The larger reward arrives after completing victories with 45 different Legends. Reach that threshold and the Ghoulish Color Scheme becomes available for all current and future Legends, eliminating the need to repeat the process every time Blue Mammoth expands the roster.
That requirement is considerably more forgiving than last year’s version. During Brawlhalloween 2025, Blue Mammoth asked players to complete wins across the entire contemporary roster — 66 Legends at the time — to secure the universal unlock. The 2026 threshold of 45 therefore dramatically reduces the amount of character switching required, particularly for players who prefer a relatively small selection of mains.
Returning players also receive an important concession. Progress from last year carries forward, so anyone who started working through the Ghoulish challenge in 2025 does not have to begin again. For someone who already played a substantial number of Legends last Halloween, the universal reward could therefore be relatively close from the moment the event begins.
Mallhalla is bringing back more than 20 Halloween skins
The Event Center is only the earnable half of Brawlhalloween. Mallhalla has once again been redecorated around the seasonal catalogue, with more than 20 returning Brawlhalloween skins coming back for the limited event window.
Blue Mammoth specifically highlights characters including Trick or Treater Kaya, Immortal Caspian, Horseman Lucien and Cthu’shang, but the complete Halloween catalogue spans many years of Brawlhalla history. Previous designs have transformed Legends into vampires, werewolves, monsters, possessed dolls, skeletons and creatures pulled directly from broader horror traditions.
The distinction between the two cosmetic systems is worth keeping clear. Ghoulish Colors and the new Event Center rewards can be earned through event progression, while the traditional Brawlhalloween skins in Mallhalla are premium seasonal cosmetics purchased with Mammoth Coins.
Blue Mammoth is also bringing back the Haunting Color Scheme for every Legend, alongside three Sidekicks, two Avatars, ten Emoji Skins and the popular Skeleton Dance Emote. That gives returning collectors another opportunity to fill gaps from earlier years instead of restricting the event entirely to its 2026 additions.
For newer players, the scale of that catalogue is increasingly substantial. Brawlhalloween has been held every October since 2016, meaning the seasonal shop is now drawing from roughly a decade of Halloween content.
Haunted Manor gets another annual version
The principal new Mallhalla cosmetic is the Haunted Manor 2026 Podium, continuing Blue Mammoth’s habit of giving Brawlhalloween a yearly variation on its haunted-stage presentation.
Last year introduced its own Haunted Manor Podium, while the event’s longer history includes other Halloween-specific podiums such as the original Graveyard Shift. The 2026 version gives collectors another explicitly dated item tied to this year’s celebration rather than simply returning the older design.
Players interested in purchasing a large portion of the event catalogue can also use the new Brawlhalloween ’26 Mega Bundle, which contains 14 seasonal Legend skins together with the Haunted Manor 2026 Podium. Blue Mammoth is additionally offering a Graveyard Shift Bundle, built around the original Graveyard Shift Podium, and a Trick or Treater Bundle themed around the lighter costume-and-candy side of Halloween.
The bundles are essentially convenience packages for players who want several cosmetics at once rather than evidence of exclusive gameplay content. Individual seasonal items remain the main attraction for players only interested in one Legend or a specific piece of customization.
The Event Center has changed what seasonal events mean for Brawlhalla
Brawlhalloween looked very different only a few years ago. Seasonal updates largely meant the return of premium cosmetics, decorated interfaces, themed Brawl of the Week rotations and perhaps one or two completely new store items. The introduction of the Event Center has gradually turned those celebrations into something closer to temporary progression events.
Brawlhalla Fest first demonstrated the system in 2025 by allowing players to complete rotating missions for Tickets and work toward free cosmetic rewards. Heatwave, Back to School, Brawlhalloween and later seasonal celebrations expanded that format, making event participation relevant even for somebody with no intention of purchasing Mammoth Coins.
Brawlhalloween 2025 offered Trick or Treater Kaya as its major Event Center prize and introduced Ghoulish Colors as another long-form objective. The 2026 edition is therefore less of a reinvention than a refinement: Ghost Pirate Sidra replaces Kaya at the top of the track, Ringo becomes the new Sidekick, the Emoji lineup rotates and the universal Ghoulish challenge becomes substantially more achievable.
That continuity is useful because it creates a reason to return every October without making unfinished progress completely disposable. Carrying the Ghoulish mission forward from the previous year is particularly important in a game with such a large roster, where repeating dozens of matchmade wins simply because the calendar rolled over would turn a collectible objective into unnecessary repetition.
Brawlhalloween overlaps with Elysium Rising
The Halloween event is arriving while Battle Pass Season 14: Elysium Rising remains active, giving Brawlhalla two completely different visual themes running at the same time. Elysium Rising launched in September with celestial imagery, the new Eternity’s End map, Stained Glass Colors and skins such as Magyar the Apostate and Zariel the Exalted, while Brawlhalloween covers the opposite end of the aesthetic spectrum with ghosts, monsters and undead pirates.
Progression between the systems remains separate. The Battle Pass maintains its own missions and tiers, while Brawlhalloween uses the Event Center and seasonal Ticket economy. Matchmade games can nevertheless contribute toward several objectives simultaneously, meaning players working through Battle Pass challenges can also rotate Legends for Ghoulish Colors and complete Halloween event tasks along the way.
Ranked Season 42 is active during the same period as well, so Blue Mammoth is effectively stacking the Halloween celebration on top of the normal competitive and Battle Pass structure instead of replacing either one for October.
Sidra’s crew gives 2026 a stronger identity than a simple seasonal rerun
Brawlhalloween is inherently built around repetition. The same colour schemes, skins and familiar decorations return because seasonal availability is part of their appeal, and long-time players expect items such as Skeleton Dance or older monster skins to appear again each October. The challenge for Blue Mammoth is adding enough new material that the event still feels like a new edition rather than the reopening of a temporary shop.
The pirate theme solves that problem relatively neatly in 2026. Ghost Pirate Sidra is an obvious fit for Brawlhalla’s roster, Ringo gives the new collection a memorable Sidekick and the journey-across-the-nine-realms framing provides enough connective tissue to make this year’s cosmetics feel intentionally grouped. More importantly, the Event Center means the main attraction is something players can actively work toward rather than simply buy on launch day.
Reducing the universal Ghoulish requirement from an entire roster grind to 45 wins also makes one of last year’s better ideas far more practical. A challenge involving dozens of different characters still encourages players to leave their comfort zone, but it no longer demands mastery — or even use — of virtually every Legend in the game.
Brawlhalloween 2026 is live now in Brawlhalla. Tickets can be earned through October 28, after which players receive one additional week to spend their remaining currency and complete the seasonal collection before Sidra’s ghostly crew sails out of Valhalla again.
