Zenith’s Trap-Lined Corridors and Launch’s Rocket Return Lead Black Ops 7 Season 04 Reloaded

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 04 Reloaded is expanding Multiplayer on June 25 with two very different battlegrounds: the all-new Zenith and the remastered Launch. One is built around a dangerous network of traps and tight interior pressure, while the other brings players back to one of the most recognisable rocket facilities in Black Ops history.

The mid-season update is not limited to map rotation. Season 04 Reloaded also makes Black Ops Classic a permanent mode, adds more legacy maps to that playlist, and introduces returning Multiplayer options including Team Blueprint Sharpshooter and Knife Fight. For players focused on standard 6v6 action, however, Zenith and Launch are the headline additions.

Zenith turns every route into a potential trap

Zenith is the only completely new Multiplayer map in the Season 04 Reloaded update, and its identity is built around environmental danger rather than open sightlines or pure lane control. Activision describes it as a trap-filled location where players need to watch their movement, learn the layout and avoid treating every corridor as a safe route.

That design should make Zenith especially relevant for aggressive players who rely on fast pushes and predictable flanks. In a map where traps are part of the battlefield, careless movement can become as costly as losing a direct gunfight. Teams that adapt quickly to the map’s hazards should have more opportunities to control rotations and punish opponents who rush without checking their surroundings.

The setting also gives Black Ops 7 another compact tactical space for its Season 04 map pool. While the launch maps Liminal and Primetime leaned into surreal experimentation and obstacle-driven combat, Zenith appears to place more emphasis on immediate environmental threats and high-pressure positioning.

Launch returns with a remastered rocket facility

The second map is Launch, a remastered version of the classic Black Ops battlefield set around a rocket launch facility. The map is built around its central countdown sequence and the looming presence of the rocket itself, preserving the spectacle that made the original location stand out while adapting it for Black Ops 7’s current Multiplayer environment.

Launch has historically been a map where controlling major lanes and elevated positions can define the flow of a match. The rocket facility’s industrial layout creates natural sightlines, indoor cover and exposed exterior routes, making it suitable for a mix of assault-rifle engagements, mid-range duels and more aggressive close-quarters pushes around contested objectives.

Its return also gives Season 04 Reloaded a stronger nostalgic hook. Rather than relying only on a new map, the update pairs Zenith’s unfamiliar hazards with a recognisable Black Ops location that many long-time players will already understand at a tactical level.

Black Ops Classic becomes a permanent playlist

Season 04 Reloaded also makes Black Ops Classic a permanent addition to Black Ops 7. The mode continues its throwback format while expanding its map rotation with four legacy locations from across the Black Ops series.

From June 25, Black Ops Classic players can access Launch from the original Black Ops, Fringe from Black Ops 3, Hacienda from Black Ops 4 and Gridlock from Black Ops 4. That gives the playlist a broader historical identity and positions it as more than a temporary nostalgia event.

For players who prefer classic map flow over the more experimental spaces introduced in Black Ops 7, this permanent playlist could become one of the update’s most significant additions. The value is not only in playing older maps again, but in having a dedicated mode that groups them under a shared gameplay identity.

More Multiplayer modes arrive alongside the maps

The update also adds Team Blueprint Sharpshooter, a 6v6 playlist where loadouts cycle through a range of weapon blueprints. Players can earn power-ups through kill streaks, increasing their movement speed and eventually unlocking a score multiplier when they reach higher streak thresholds.

Knife Fight is also returning, removing ranged weapons from the equation and forcing players into close-quarters encounters. It is a smaller-scale mode by design, but it fits the Season 04 Reloaded focus on more immediate, chaotic Multiplayer action.

Together, these additions give the update a more varied structure than a standard two-map drop. Zenith and Launch provide the new battlegrounds, Black Ops Classic gives legacy content a permanent home, and the returning modes create alternative ways to engage with Multiplayer beyond the main playlists.

A mid-season update built around variety rather than one headline feature

Season 04 Reloaded does not reinvent Black Ops 7 Multiplayer, but it delivers a more substantial package than a simple map refresh. Zenith introduces a new combat space with a clearer environmental gameplay hook, while Launch gives the season a familiar remastered anchor.

The permanent expansion of Black Ops Classic may matter even more over time. Bringing together Launch, Fringe, Hacienda and Gridlock creates a stable playlist for players who want older Black Ops map design without waiting for limited-time rotations.

For anyone returning on June 25, the immediate choice is straightforward: learn Zenith’s traps or revisit Launch’s rocket countdown. The broader update, though, is designed to give Multiplayer players more than one reason to stay in rotation after the first few matches.
