Crossout has released the official trailer for New Horizon, introducing a major new season built around an unlikely alliance, experimental combat technology and a packed schedule of rotating activities. The update is available now, with its seasonal progression and Battle Pass packs remaining active until November 25.

New Horizon continues the conflict established during Dark Awakening. Aris escaped that confrontation carrying two Oracle modules, but his plans apparently require a third. That threat has forced the Engineers, Steppenwolfs and Scavengers to set aside their differences and combine their resources against a common enemy.

Under the command of Eric Stahl, a reconnaissance expedition has been assembled to pursue Aris and the Ravagers. Its objectives are straightforward, although far from simple: intercept the escaping convoy, destroy Aris and recover the stolen modules before they can be used against the factions of the Wasteland.

An alliance armed with experimental machinery

The New Horizon trailer acts as the cinematic introduction to this escalating struggle, while the accompanying update gives players a collection of new parts designed around aggressive, specialised builds. Rather than providing minor variations on familiar equipment, the season introduces components with mechanics that can noticeably change how a vehicle behaves in battle.

One of its most distinctive additions is the epic MVP Flagship air cushion. This unusually large movement part can reach a maximum speed of 70 km/h and offers substantial tonnage, ram resistance and protection against melee damage. Its perk increases cabin power for every enemy detected within 100 metres, stacking with as many as four nearby opponents.

That makes the MVP Flagship particularly interesting for heavy vehicles that intend to fight in the middle of the action. It becomes more powerful as the surrounding battle grows more dangerous, although its bonus is significantly weakened when combined with conventional movement parts other than rotors.

The Smasher, meanwhile, is an epic naval cannon capable of launching an enormous projectile that inflicts ram damage on impact. During the first 125 metres of its flight, the cannonball gradually gains both damage and impulse. At maximum charge, it can receive a 250% damage increase and a 180% impulse bonus, rewarding players who carefully judge their firing distance.

Only one Smasher can be installed on a vehicle, underlining its role as a centrepiece weapon rather than something intended to be stacked across an entire build. Its considerable mass and energy requirements should also make vehicle construction an important part of getting the best results from it.

New legendary options for detection and precision attacks

New Horizon expands the legendary equipment pool with several additional tactical choices. The MPR-8 Slice is an advanced radar that periodically performs a two-second scan, revealing enemies behind cover and detecting cloaked targets at distances of up to 250 metres. It can also detect mines within a smaller 50-metre radius.

Installing two Slice radars extends the scan and its effect to four seconds while also increasing their detection and information-transmission ranges. Players will have to decide whether that greater battlefield awareness justifies using the additional energy and construction space.

The ATGM Cornet provides a more direct offensive option. Its slow but manoeuvrable rockets can be guided with a laser designator during the opening portion of their flight. Releasing the firing control during guidance causes the projectile to separate into four explosive pieces, allowing the operator to attack a compact area instead of relying on a single impact.

Repeatedly striking the same enemy within ten seconds also increases the Cornet’s damage by 30%. The weapon therefore supports both precision attacks against exposed components and sustained pressure against particularly durable targets.

For players who prefer conventional sustained fire, the AC66 Apogee autocannon grows stronger as its ammunition supply is consumed. Every four percent of ammunition fired increases its damage by three percent and its blast radius by one percent, with the maximum effect reached after using 80% of the available rounds. An Apogee-equipped vehicle may consequently become more dangerous during the closing stages of a prolonged battle.

The final major component is the legendary Wildhog heavy cabin. Its perk changes according to the balance of friendly and enemy vehicles within 115 metres. Having more allies nearby increases maximum speed and cabin power, while being outnumbered improves weapon cooling and reload speed. If the two sides are evenly matched, both effects remain active.

These bonuses can stack up to three times, making the Wildhog a flexible cabin for vehicles expected to move between organised team formations and chaotic close-range engagements.

Bearings reshape the seasonal progression

The New Horizon season contains 75 main reward levels, followed by additional rewards beginning at level 76. Progress is earned by completing the usual selection of seasonal daily and weekly challenges, with unfinished weekly objectives carrying forward when the challenge list refreshes.

Players can also collect Bearings, the season’s dedicated exchange resource. These can be traded for selected components and other available items without an additional crafting cost. However, unused Bearings will be removed when the season ends, so there is little reason to save them indefinitely.

The free reward path includes access to seasonal recipes, structural parts, new frames, coins, cosmetic items and 150 Bearings. Players who purchase the standard Battle Pass can earn constructed versions of the new components, additional currency, portraits, cosmetics, Blueprint Storage and more Bearings.

The Deluxe Battle Pass now includes several expanded advantages. In addition to 15 immediately unlocked levels, its owners receive instant access to every recipe for upgraded seasonal parts and an initial supply of 650 Bearings. According to the developers, that amount is enough to obtain one already produced and upgraded legendary component, or several items of lower rarity.

Six special brawls fill the launch calendar

The new season is supported by six consecutive limited-time brawls. Feathered Mayhem begins the schedule from September 3 to September 9, bringing back team battles fought with preset armoured vehicles shaped like pigeons.

No Signal follows from September 10 to September 16. Player names and minimap icons are disabled in this mode, forcing teams to identify one another through vehicle colours. Friendly fire is also enabled, making situational awareness just as important as accurate shooting.

Blind Fire runs from September 17 to September 23 and makes every participant invisible. Firing, activating modules or receiving damage temporarily reveals a vehicle, while attentive players can still track hidden opponents through sound and dust.

Dronapocalypse returns between September 24 and September 30, followed by the free-for-all Thunderous Arena from October 1 to October 7. The sequence concludes with No Brakes, a three-lap police pursuit event featuring improved police AI, revised racing vehicles and new tracks, from October 8 to October 14.

Changes beyond the seasonal battlefield

New Horizon also expands the regular PvP rotation. Precious Driver joins classic missions, while some battles can now be affected by a sandstorm that gradually reduces the safe area. Squad Battle temporarily pits three teams of four survivors against one another, and Dangerous Cargo has been added to the rotation supporting every type of movement part.

The Storage interface has received an extensive redesign inspired by the Market layout. New filters allow players to separate upgraded, locked, tradable and salvageable equipment, search by damage type or resistance, create a list of favourite parts and identify components already installed on Garage or Leviathan builds.

Region selection has also moved to the world map, where players can review ping and packet-loss information before choosing between automatic and manual matchmaking regions.

Taken as a complete package, New Horizon is considerably more than a cinematic introduction to the next conflict. Its trailer establishes the pursuit of Aris and the Ravagers, while the update turns that narrative escalation into new construction possibilities, unusual weapons, rotating rule sets and practical improvements for players managing increasingly complicated garages.
