THE RITUAL HAS BEGUN
Millhaven Asylum, 1979. A mystical ritual ends with dire consequences: the death of all members of a once-important family... except one. The case remained closed for decades, until the intrepid Truth-Seekers Anonymous decided to take justice into their own hands. Now, with no escape, you have no choice but to participate in the ritual of deception, at the mercy of the evil gamemaster.
Deceit 2 is a social deduction horror game for 6 to 9 players, including two infected characters. The infected must obey the orders of the game director and the innocent have to collaborate to escape the Ritual and discover who is against them. Who can you trust?
DECEIVE AND MANIPULATE
Infected players can activate Blood Altars found throughout the map, weakening and breaking the veil of reality. This will transport players to Limbo, a parallel dimension where the infected have terrifying powers. Infected players will wreak havoc on innocent players and sabotage their efforts to escape, but they can be dealt with, by exposing them outside of Limbo.
HUNT AND KILL
Once the infected players summon Limbo, you'll have to keep trying to escape while avoiding the infected with the most power. Madness will begin to take hold of you as you lurk among the horrors of Limbo, until one player dies and the Ritual ends. Who will end up becoming the sacrifice?
MAKE DEDUCTIONS AND ESCAPE
Innocent players have a numerical advantage. By performing a vanishing ritual, they can eliminate any player they suspect is infected if harmed by them. It's important to make sure that person is guilty, otherwise, you're only hurting your own team. Complete quests and collect souls for the mysterious peddler, who will offer useful items in exchange. These items will help you with your investigations and help you survive in Limbo until you can escape.
IMMERSIVE FREEDOM
Deceit 2 has been designed as an open and social experience with unique and creative ways to play both roles. Deception is at the heart of the game, so you will have to study other players’ behavior and assess the situation before making a decision that you may regret. You may have many useful tools at your disposal, but with variations in the map and items in each game, you will have to adapt your strategies instantly.
