Delta Force’s Astromancy Deluxe Collection Brings a Cosmic AKM to Season Meltdown

Delta Force is adding a new premium weapon collection to its upcoming Season Meltdown update, with the Astromancy Deluxe Collection set to arrive on June 30.

Built around the AKM, the collection shifts away from the game’s usual military-industrial aesthetic and leans into a more celestial presentation. Its trailer frames the weapon through starlight, time distortion and cosmic motion, positioning Astromancy as one of the more stylised cosmetic releases tied to the new season.

The collection launches alongside Season Meltdown, which Team Jade is presenting as one of Delta Force’s largest updates so far. While the season itself brings major gameplay additions across Operations and Warfare, Astromancy is aimed at players looking to bring a more distinctive visual identity into their loadouts.

A cosmic redesign for one of Delta Force’s most familiar rifles

The AKM has long been one of the most recognisable assault rifles in military shooters, so using it as the base for a heavily themed cosmetic collection gives Astromancy an immediate visual contrast.

Rather than focusing on camouflage, tactical utility or grounded weapon customisation, the Astromancy Deluxe Collection uses an astronomical theme built around glowing starlight, moving cosmic effects and references to time itself. The trailer’s message — “Look past time. Aim beyond the stars.” — makes the intended fantasy clear.

This is not a gameplay weapon variant. Astromancy is a cosmetic collection, so players should not expect stat changes, new attachments or a separate AKM balance profile tied to the skin. Its value is presentation: a more elaborate weapon appearance designed to stand out during the new seasonal cycle.

For players who collect premium weapon finishes, the appeal will likely come from how the collection changes the look and feel of the AKM during inspection, movement and combat rather than from any practical advantage in a match.

Astromancy joins Delta Force’s largest seasonal rollout yet

The collection is launching as part of Season Meltdown, which begins on June 30 across PC, mobile and console versions of Delta Force.

Season Meltdown is built around a much broader content drop than a cosmetic release. The update introduces the new AZ3 Nuclear Plant map in Operations, a new Operator named N-Two, additional weapons including the RM277 and SVCH, and new Warfare content built around the Coliseum battlefield.

The Operations side of the update is focused on a nuclear facility approaching disaster. Team Jade has described AZ3 as a map where hazards escalate over time, environmental conditions deteriorate and players can influence how the overall crisis concludes through their actions.

That setting gives Astromancy an interesting contrast. Season Meltdown is grounded in industrial collapse, radiation threats and tactical survival, while the Deluxe Collection takes the AKM in the opposite direction with a surreal, almost sci-fi visual theme.

Cosmetics remain part of Delta Force’s seasonal identity

Delta Force has increasingly used themed collections to give each seasonal update a stronger visual identity alongside its maps, Operators and gameplay systems.

The Astromancy Deluxe Collection follows that approach by giving Season Meltdown a premium cosmetic release with a clear concept rather than simply adding another military skin. The emphasis on celestial visuals and time-based effects suggests that this is intended to be one of the season’s showcase weapon collections.

For Team Jade, these cosmetic drops also serve an important live-service role. Major gameplay updates bring players back through new maps and systems, but premium weapon collections provide a separate reason for collectors and long-term players to engage with the season.

The main question will be how much of the Astromancy package is included in the full Deluxe Collection beyond the AKM itself. The official trailer confirms the collection’s launch date and AKM focus, but Team Jade has not yet detailed its full contents in the announcement material currently available.

A flashy opening move for Season Meltdown

Astromancy is unlikely to be the main reason players return to Delta Force on June 30. That role belongs to Season Meltdown’s new maps, Operator, weapons and modes.

Still, the collection gives the update a more memorable visual hook. The AKM is being transformed from a familiar battlefield staple into a weapon wrapped in cosmic imagery, animated effects and a deliberately stylised science-fiction tone.

For players interested in Delta Force’s cosmetic side, Astromancy looks set to be one of the first premium highlights of Season Meltdown. For everyone else, it arrives as part of a much larger update that could significantly reshape both Operations and Warfare.
