Dune: Awakening expands its endgame with Chapter 3 and the 'Raiders of the Broken Lands' DLC

04/02/2026 - 12:05

The desert shifts once more with the arrival of Chapter 3, a free update that significantly expands the Dune: Awakening endgame and marks a new turning point in its evolution. This new chapter doesn't just add content; it restructures key systems to offer more depth, more progression options, and more ways to support your faction, regardless of your playstyle.

One of the cornerstones of this update is the new mission-oriented Landsraad, introducing clearer and more flexible ways to contribute to your faction’s interests while earning rewards. This is complemented by improvements to the Specialization and Augmentation systems, opening new progression paths that allow for even deeper customization of your playstyle and your role in the conflict for Arrakis.

The world is growing too. The Overland map now features 10 new locations, including five repeatable testing stations that hide boss encounters with scaling difficulty and increasingly valuable loot. These zones are designed for players seeking constant challenges and rewards to match, reinforcing the sense of danger and opportunity that defines the desert. Furthermore, the main storyline continues, expanding the narrative and the context of current events.

For those returning after some time away, there’s a clear incentive: if you haven’t played for more than 28 days, you’ll receive a Welcome Back care package with resources to ease your return to Arrakis and get you back up to speed without unnecessary friction.

Alongside the free update comes Raiders of the Broken Lands, the newly available DLC which is part of the Season Pass and included at no extra cost in the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions. It can also be purchased separately, further expanding the content available from day one.

With this release, Dune: Awakening strengthens its commitment to a more ambitious, systemic, and narratively connected endgame. Arrakis waits for no one, but it now offers more reasons than ever to stay and fight for your place in the sun. More information here.
