Eternal Return: Glory Teaser Sets Season 13 Preseason for 12 November

Eternal Return’s Season 13 preseason begins on Thursday, 12 November 2026. The teaser introduces Glory, a season with knight-themed skins and a soundtrack led by Knights of the Dawn. The official roadmap also reveals a substantial change to how squads play on Lumia Island: teams can specialise during a match, earning different bonuses depending on whether they gather rare materials, fight other players or hunt mutant wildlife.

Glory also replaces the CNOT Gate with a gadget built around a shared rendezvous point and gives clear skies, rain and sandstorms different effects on the island. For returning players, the preseason is a chance to rethink familiar routes: the quickest way to finish a build may be different from the best route for completing the squad’s first research objective.

Research Tasks give squads three ways to specialise

Each squad starts the match with objectives in three research fields, and teammates contribute to the same pool of progress. From Day 2, the first field the squad completes becomes its Experiment Field for the rest of the match. Each one rewards a different activity, so the opening route can shape how the team earns and spends resources later on.

Materials Science & Engineering asks squads to collect Special Materials and rewards them with discounts on those materials at Kiosks and the Lumi Shop. Energy Science & Engineering revolves around defeating enemy characters, with extra Credits for downs and assists. Biotechnology sends teams after mutant herds and pays additional Credits for kills or assists against mutant wildlife. A squad already planning to hunt mutants has a reason to commit to that route early, while a group looking for fights can turn those encounters into a source of extra Credits.

The Vector Gate gives scattered teammates a way back together

The new Vector Gate replaces the CNOT Gate. The first use establishes a Meeting Point shared by the squad. While it’s active, a subsequent use creates a Departure Point for free. A player who interacts with that departure point is transported straight to the rendezvous, giving teammates who split up to collect supplies a way to regroup.

Placement matters because the Meeting Point is temporary and loses charges when allies travel through it or enemies attack it. A rendezvous in the open may be convenient, but opponents can wear it down before everyone arrives. Departure Points have their own timers and can outlast the original destination. If the team sets up a new Meeting Point, the remaining Departure Points redirect there.

Weather changes what squads can find on Lumia Island

Lumi brings different supplies depending on the weather. Clear skies bring shaved ice that raises maximum health, rain brings an umbrella that boosts movement speed, and sandstorms bring goggles that extend vision. Picking up a supply creates a temporary area that grants the buff to any test subject inside it, so an opponent close enough to step in can benefit too.

Lumi also leaves temporary objects along its route. Clear weather brings campfires for cooking, rain brings Lantern Blooms that reveal the surrounding area, and sandstorms bring enhanced whirlwinds that launch players farther and disappear after use. Sandstorms also introduce EMP-X Drones, which can temporarily disable enemy-controlled CCTV, while rainy nights reduce hearing range. The weather can change how safely a squad moves through contested ground, especially when its usual approach relies on cameras or sound.

Terrain changes and new shortcuts address everyday frustrations

The developers are levelling parts of Lumia Island to reduce cases where a skill indicator and the actual cast location don’t line up. The update also changes some paths and patches of brush, and adds vending machines that drop food when struck with basic attacks. The roadmap lists one machine in every area except the Research Center, with two in the Factory.

Four configurable shortcuts let players use food, cameras, Recon Drones and EMP Drones without moving them to a particular inventory slot. Interactions such as opening an Air Supply Box will show whether they’re about to trigger a noise ping, although instant pings from actions such as firing a Flare Gun won’t get a preview. Replays also gain markers for downs, eliminations and revives, making it easier to jump to the moment a fight turned.

The Glory Season Pack arrives on 12 November; the standalone pass follows

The Glory Season Pack goes live with the preseason. It includes Divine Salvation Coraline, the ER Pass: Glory, five skins scheduled across the season and a new character listed for 26 November. The pass features Light of Devotion Abigail, Spear of Conviction István and Blade of Judgement Blair. Players who only want the standalone pass will have to wait until after maintenance on 19 November.

There’s still time to finish the current ranked season before Glory arrives. Season 12 counts ranked matches started before 23:59 UTC on 11 November, and eligible players who finish at Gold or higher will receive the Cadet Jan skin. Ranked rewards are scheduled for distribution during maintenance on 19 November, with at least five ranked matches required to qualify.
