Fenrir breaks free in Eternal Return—a creation built to defy gods and shatter chains

30/01/2026 - 11:35

There was a time when humanity tried to reach the gods by building a tower to the heavens. The punishment was swift: language was shattered, and arrogance met its end. Now, that ancient defiance takes a new form through creation, and its name is Fenrir.

This new character arrives as an artificial human, born from Aglaia’s project to breathe life into the ultimate VF Awakener. His first contact with the world came through a researcher who spoke to him of distant mythologies and ancient legends. Among them all, Fenrir was forever marked by the tale of the Great Wolf—a beast deceived by the gods, stripped of its freedom, and destined to one day rise and destroy them.

That story left a permanent scar. Fenrir is finally given a glimpse of freedom, but it arrives at the worst possible moment: the very day the only person he ever trusted disappears. Without explanation or farewell, he is cast onto Lumia Island, thrown into a real world that he does not understand and that owes him nothing. Here, far from the laboratory, his true conflict begins.

With this reveal, Eternal Return introduces a character steeped in symbolism, posing an uncomfortable question from the start: When you finally break your chains, are you standing in the freedom you sought—or simply facing a much larger cage?
