Gone Fission update brings fishing to Fallout 76 in free new patch

Fallout 76 just got a lot more relaxing. With the arrival of the Gone Fission update on June 3, Bethesda Game Studios has officially introduced fishing to the Appalachian wasteland — and it’s completely free for all players.
Whether you're knee-deep in radioactive water or hanging out with friends near a bubbling creek, you can now catch over 30 types of fish across every region of the map. As long as you can swim there, you can fish there.
But this isn’t just about kicking back. Gone Fission also adds a full range of Cooking Station recipes so you can clean, cook, and eat your catches for some handy in-game benefits. It’s a peaceful new way to explore and survive in the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout 76 — one fish at a time.
