Tokyo Gets Two Permanent Races as City Life Brings the Citroën Ami to Forza Horizon 6

An 8-horsepower Citroën Ami and an 815-horsepower Ford Mustang GTD arrive in the same week of Forza Horizon 6, but you’ll earn them in very different ways. The Ami is the first weekly reward in City Life, while the Mustang leads a separate round of Car Pass releases. The biggest additions for anyone who races in Tokyo are two new routes that will stay in the game after the series ends: Edo Circuit and Shuto Charge.
The City Life trailer went out on 4 November, so its “tomorrow” means 5 November 2026. The Series 7 Festival Playlist is now live on Xbox Series X|S and PC, including Steam and the Xbox app, and runs until 3 December. Playground Games released the update itself on 2 November, ahead of the playlist’s opening.
Edo Circuit and Shuto Charge give Tokyo two new places to race
Edo Circuit is a Road Race, while Shuto Charge is a Street Race. Both are permanent additions, and the opening playlist already gives players reasons to run them. Edo Circuit appears in Paint the Town Red, a championship for S1-class Ferraris, and also hosts a monthly Rivals event in the Mustang GTD. Shuto Charge is one of the routes in Domestic Dash, the opening week’s Trial.
There’s a returning circuit as well. Edamame Time Attack Circuit, first introduced in Series 4’s Horizon Mascot Party, is back at Horizon Stadium for City Life. That return is tied to the series, while the two Tokyo routes are additions you’ll still be able to race once the November playlist is over.
The Ami opens a month of small cars and easier unlocks
Playground Games has lowered the points needed to unlock new Festival Playlist cars starting with City Life. The studio says the change follows community feedback and is intended to make the cars easier to earn, including for players without access to online content. In this series, each weekly featured car unlocks at 15 points. The two series-wide milestones are the 2016 Honda S660 Alpha at 60 points and the 1970 Honda N600 at 120 points.
The first week, from 5 to 12 November, awards the 2025 Citroën Ami at 15 points and the 1996 Toyota Starlet Glanza V at 30. The Ami is one of three cars making their Horizon debut, alongside the S660 Alpha and the 1987 Fiat Panda. The Ami and S660 also get body kit upgrades, giving players something to experiment with after claiming them.
The 2011 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde takes the 15-point slot from 12 to 19 November. The all-wheel-drive Fiat Panda follows from 19 to 26 November, and the 1966 Hillman Imp closes the series from 26 November to 3 December. The Alfa and Hillman are returning cars, with the Imp’s rear-engine layout offering a very different take on the compact city car from the electric Ami that opens the month.
IKEA furniture, a Tokyo Tower badge and a Halo detour
City Life also brings 35 IKEA props to Custom Garages. The pack includes familiar pieces such as BILLY bookcases, LACK coffee tables and the FRAKTA bag, so garage builders can make a space that looks more like a living room than a workshop. Simply playing during the series unlocks the Tower Power badge, while playlist challenges offer horns inspired by sounds such as pedestrian crossings and keyboard typing.
The second week adds a pair of Halo rewards. Finding 15 Gashapon Machine collectibles at Daikoku earns the Halo Shield Recharge horn, and the Week 2 Photo Challenge unlocks the Master Chief outfit. A separate anniversary livery for the 2025 GR GT Prototype is being sent to all players through the Message Center.
Car Pass adds four more cars, and PR Stunt leaderboards reset
The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD is the first of four weekly Car Pass additions. It’s followed by the 2025 Volkswagen Electric Buzz on 12 November, the 1983 Nissan 240RS on 19 November, and the 2025 Porsche Macan GTS on 26 November. These cars are delivered to eligible players’ garages as they release. The Ami, S660 and the other playlist rewards are earned through a separate route and don’t require the Car Pass.
The update also changes a few things that matter when putting together a weekly run. Solo Seasonal Championships now use the player’s chosen difficulty, and a new Festival Playlist filter in the Garage and Autoshow makes it easier to find cars that meet active event restrictions. Playground Games has also wiped the PR Stunt leaderboards after fixing exploits that produced unrealistic scores. Collection Journal rewards already unlocked through those stunts are retained, even though the leaderboard entries are gone.
