Free Fire has released a new full animation for its returning Naruto Shippuden collaboration, placing Hinata Hyuga at the center of the battle as the Nine Tails attacks the Hidden Leaf Village. The animated promotion establishes the narrative surrounding Chapter One: Nine Tails Strikes, which is now returning to the mobile battle royale with updated gameplay, new locations, additional ninjutsu and a larger selection of themed rewards.

The collaboration runs from September 16 until October 15, 2026, although Garena warns that individual event details may differ between regions. During that period, players can revisit the Hidden Leaf Village, explore the new Ninja Academy, collect Ninjutsu Skill Cards and participate in missions leading to a choice between two free grand prizes: the new Hinata Bundle or the returning Jiraiya Bundle.

Players can also obtain ten free vouchers and unlock additional Naruto Shippuden collectibles through the collaboration’s progression events. The exact availability and redemption process for these vouchers may depend on the regional version of the event, so players should consult the in-game calendar and mission interface rather than assuming every server will follow an identical schedule.

Hinata becomes the central defender of the Hidden Leaf Village

The premise of the full animation is direct: the Nine Tails has returned, the Hidden Leaf Village is under attack and Hinata is preparing to defend it. That setup supports Hinata’s arrival as one of the most prominent new additions to the collaboration.

Hinata was added following player demand after the original Free Fire x Naruto Shippuden event. Her bundle recreates her recognizable Naruto Shippuden appearance and marks the character’s first official inclusion in Free Fire.

Garena has also placed a hidden interaction inside the collaboration interface inspired by Hinata’s Byakugan and Twin Lion Fists technique. It is primarily a fan-focused detail rather than a major gameplay system, but it supports the broader attempt to represent Hinata through more than a conventional character costume.

The animated storyline does not replace the battle royale event. Instead, it provides a narrative wrapper for the mechanics appearing across Battle Royale and Clash Squad. Defending the village, confronting the Nine Tails and assembling a group of ninjas are all reflected in the missions, map changes and limited-time abilities introduced with the event.

Players can choose Hinata or Jiraiya as a free grand prize

One of the event’s most important reward changes is the Pick-One Grand Prize system. After completing the necessary missions, players can choose between the Hinata Bundle and the Jiraiya Bundle.

Hinata is the completely new option and will likely be the more attractive selection for players who participated in the previous collaboration. Jiraiya gives newcomers another opportunity to obtain a costume inspired by Naruto’s mentor and one of the Legendary Sannin.

The freedom to choose is significant because limited-time mobile events often predetermine the final reward or place multiple headline items behind separate progression systems. Here, players are not expected to unlock both through the same free grand-prize track. They must decide which of the two bundles they value more.

Garena is also distributing ten free vouchers during the collaboration. These are separate from the Pick-One Grand Prize and are intended to give players additional opportunities to interact with the event’s reward systems. Since the official announcement does not define one universal global redemption method, the safest approach is to claim them through the relevant regional event interface while they remain available.

Additional free Naruto Shippuden-themed rewards and collectibles can be obtained by completing collaboration missions. The event therefore contains several reward layers: the selectable character bundle, free vouchers and smaller cosmetics earned through continued participation.

Nine Tails can disrupt an entire Battle Royale match

Chapter One: Nine Tails Strikes changes more than the lobby and reward calendar. At the beginning of a Battle Royale match, the Nine Tails can trigger one of several random events capable of altering the opening phase.

The Tailed Beast may attack the aircraft, setting it on fire and forcing every player to eject when the countdown expires. This disrupts carefully planned drop timing and can scatter squads that fail to react quickly.

Another possible event sees the Nine Tails destroy the locks protecting Arsenals on Bermuda. Players can then access high-tier equipment without finding an Arsenal Key, creating immediate areas of conflict around locations that would normally require an additional resource.

The Nine Tails can also strike the ground and produce a crater filled with loot. Like the opened Arsenals, these impact zones can become early objectives for squads willing to fight over valuable equipment.

These events introduce uncertainty before players have collected their preferred weapons or established a safe route. A squad cannot approach every match with exactly the same opening plan because the Nine Tails may change the aircraft phase, alter the availability of high-tier loot or create a new contested location.

Sharingan: Control lets players command the Nine Tails

The major new addition to the returning event is Sharingan: Control. This objective appears during the middle of a Battle Royale match and can be captured by players who want to briefly direct the Nine Tails’ power.

Once captured, the controlling player selects an area on the map. A five-second warning then appears before the Nine Tails launches a Tailed Beast Bomb at the designated location.

The initial explosion deals 60 explosive damage to players inside a 100-meter radius. It also leaves between eight and ten burning areas scattered around the impact zone. These flames remain active for several seconds, inflicting repeated damage on anyone standing inside them and a smaller lingering effect after they escape.

The warning prevents the attack from becoming completely unavoidable, but the size of the affected area means it can still force an enemy squad to abandon cover or interrupt an ongoing fight. Its greatest value may come from displacement rather than immediate eliminations.

A well-timed Tailed Beast Bomb could break a fortified position, deny access to important loot, pressure opponents near the edge of the safe zone or create an opening for a coordinated push. The mechanic gives teams another major objective to contest during the match instead of treating the Nine Tails as a purely random environmental threat.

Eight Trigrams Palm Rotation joins the returning ninjutsu

Several Ninjutsu Skill Cards are returning to Battle Royale, allowing players to equip abilities based on techniques from Naruto Shippuden. The new addition is Eight Trigrams Palm Rotation, Hinata’s defensive chakra technique.

Activating the ability sends the player forward before generating a rapidly rotating chakra barrier for two seconds. The shield knocks back nearby enemies, deals 50 damage, absorbs incoming bullets and deflects some thrown weapons.

Its design makes it useful for both initiating and escaping close-range engagements. Players can use the initial movement to close a gap, disrupt an opponent’s position or create a brief defensive window while moving between pieces of cover.

It joins six returning abilities:

  • Fireball Jutsu launches an explosive projectile that damages enemies and burns both opponents and Gloo Walls.
  • Water Dragon Jutsu creates an explosion and temporarily obstructs vision.
  • Great Breach damages enemies while reducing their movement speed and rate of fire.
  • Rasengan performs a forward attack that damages and slows its target.
  • Chidori provides a high-speed dash, inflicts heavy damage and temporarily prevents the target from deploying Gloo Walls or using the minimap.
  • Cherry Blossom Clash delivers a forward strike that damages and knocks back the affected enemy.

The abilities cover offense, mobility, disruption and defense rather than functioning as interchangeable damage attacks. Their availability should temporarily change how players approach close-range fights, particularly when combined with Free Fire’s normal character skills.

Shuriken and elemental kunai expand the ninja arsenal

Ninja tools also return as secondary weapons. Light Shuriken are intended for close-range combat and can be thrown sequentially or released together. Heavy Shuriken sacrifice volume for higher-speed, stronger individual projectiles designed for medium-range engagements.

Three elemental kunai offer different effects. Fiery Kunai explode after a short delay, damaging enemies within the blast and applying burn and armor-durability damage. Lightning Kunai temporarily prevent affected opponents from using throwables or accessing their minimap. Wind Kunai reduce movement speed, with a stronger slowdown applied closer to the center of the explosion.

These tools introduce tactical functions that standard secondary weapons do not normally provide. Lightning Kunai can interfere with an enemy’s ability to deploy utility, while Wind Kunai can make it easier to catch an escaping player or hold opponents inside another area-of-effect attack.

The collaboration consequently affects combat beyond its cosmetic presentation. Naruto-themed items interact with movement, vision, Gloo Walls, armor, throwables and the minimap, giving players reasons to alter their equipment choices during the event.

The Ninja Academy expands the Hidden Leaf Village

The Hidden Leaf Village returns with a new explorable location based on the Ninja Academy. Players can enter its classrooms, visit the Chunin Written Exam Room and find the swing associated with Naruto’s childhood.

The swing is interactive rather than decorative. Using it provides a permanent five-percent movement-speed increase for the remainder of the match, giving players a practical reason to visit the Academy instead of treating it exclusively as a crossover landmark.

The Hidden Leaf Village also serves as the default pre-match cabin across every map during the collaboration. This ensures that the event remains visible even in matches where its larger Bermuda-specific mechanics are unavailable.

Music from the anime further supports the transformation. “Blue Bird” accompanies the parachuting phase, while the Naruto Main Theme is used in the collaboration lobby. These tracks are returning elements intended to recreate some of the audiovisual identity of the original event.

Reanimation Jutsu changes how teammates return

Revival Points have received a Reanimation Jutsu presentation. When players capture one, stone coffins rise from the ground and defeated teammates return from them rather than parachuting back onto the battlefield.

Revived players still receive temporary protection and the corresponding revival supplies. The primary change is thematic, but it also makes the revival process feel integrated into the Naruto collaboration rather than appearing as an unchanged Free Fire system with a cosmetic overlay.

Gamakichi summoning scrolls can also appear across the map. Interacting with one summons Gamakichi and rewards the player with battle supplies, adding another Naruto-themed source of loot.

Together, the Ninja Academy, Reanimation Revival Points and summoning scrolls make the crossover visible across exploration, squad recovery and resource collection—not just during direct combat.

Clash Squad receives its own Naruto takeover

The collaboration is not limited to Battle Royale. Clash Squad has been modified with Naruto-themed equipment and objectives.

Ninjutsu abilities and kunai can be purchased through the Clash Squad store. Standard pistols are replaced by shuriken during the first round, while Cyber Airdrops become Ninjutsu Scroll Airdrops. The Hidden Leaf Village has also been added to the available Clash Squad map pool.

This is an important distinction because collaboration mechanics sometimes remain isolated inside a single limited mode. Here, Garena is distributing the Naruto content across its two central competitive formats, even though the exact implementation differs between them.

Battle Royale emphasizes Nine Tails events, exploration and map-wide objectives. Clash Squad brings ninjutsu into a smaller round-based environment where purchases, team economy and ability timing become more predictable.

More Naruto cosmetics return throughout the event

Beyond the Hinata and Jiraiya grand prizes, the collaboration includes multiple themed cosmetics. Confirmed items include Tsunade’s Cloak, Gaara’s Tattoo Facepaint, Kakashi’s ANBU Black Ops Mask and a Froggy Wallet elimination crate.

Previously released bundles inspired by Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and other characters are also returning during the collaboration period. Garena has not described every returning bundle as a free reward, so players should distinguish between items earned through missions and cosmetics offered through separate event or store systems.

The free grand-prize choice is specifically limited to Hinata or Jiraiya. Other character bundles may have different acquisition requirements, prices or regional availability.

A more substantial return than a simple rerun

Chapter One: Nine Tails Strikes revisits material from the earlier Free Fire x Naruto Shippuden collaboration, but it is not an unchanged rerun. Hinata, Eight Trigrams Palm Rotation, Sharingan: Control and the Ninja Academy are new additions, while several older mechanics have been adjusted or distributed more broadly across the game.

The full animation gives the event a clear narrative focus by presenting Hinata as one of the defenders facing the Nine Tails. The in-game content then carries that theme into Battle Royale and Clash Squad through controllable Tailed Beast attacks, ninja tools, Ninjutsu Skill Cards and a mission-driven reward structure.

Players have until October 15 to participate, subject to their regional event schedule. Anyone specifically targeting the Hinata or Jiraiya Bundle should check the required missions early rather than leaving the Pick-One Grand Prize progression until the closing days of the collaboration.
