Genshin Impact unveils Waning Moon Oh Lifeless Damsel, a haunting cutscene of beauty and despair

Genshin Impact continues to mesmerize with Waning Moon, Oh Lifeless Damsel, a breathtaking new cutscene steeped in melancholy, symbolism, and emotion.

The short depicts the Iridescent Moon, her skeletal form suspended in the heavens as she gazes down upon her heart, now lost to the abyss. It’s a story of grief, longing, and the relentless hunger of the dark, brought to life through HoYoverse’s signature artistry and poetic narrative.

Every frame is drenched in atmosphere — fading light, consuming shadow, and dreams reduced to dust — weaving a visual symphony that captures the tragedy of beauty fading into silence.

Waning Moon, Oh Lifeless Damsel stands not just as a cinematic, but as a visual elegy, a meditation on the fragility of light in a world swallowed by night.

How long can hope endure when even the moon begins to fade?
