It is not easy to be the leader of a post-apocalyptic settlement located in an icy world.
Frostpunk puts us in the shoes of a leader who controls a city that fights for survival. Every degree of temperature count. Citizens will not work if they are cold or hungry and the structures will not work properly.
Our mission is to bring heat and food, control the work schedules, pass laws and quell revolts among many other things. Frostpunk is therefore a City Builder, but it is also a social survival as well as a very demanding game. We will have to take decisions constantly and they will always have consequences. We will also be in situations in which we will feel its moral depth. This is when this social engineering work takes off getting from the player an emotional implication that grows and reaches the highest levels when the game poses difficult decisions that will affect our entire colony. For example, deciding whether workers injured by accident should be slaughtered or placed in jobs that are more suitable for them, if children should work or not, if the work time will be longer than 12 hours... These decisions will have enormous economic and social consequences and none of them is exempt from advantages and disadvantages.
Frostpunk feels comfortable moving in this strip of grays in the decision-making process with which it continually pushes us to be part of the history and future of our colony. No doubt it is an amazing game!
