Metro Exodus

Metro Exodus is the latest addition of the Metro franchise in the shooter’s genre. Dmitry Glukhovsky's science fiction novels have found a perfect ecosystem to expand their universe and turn it into beautiful and captivating images while sad and melancholy.

The visual atmosphere of the world and especially its reinforcement with a splendid sound environment make the player feel immersed in that apocalyptic world.

We have survival mechanics that help us generating a sense of fragility in a complex polluted world. We could say that shooting is not the most important mechanic and that it may be one of the mechanics that stands out the least, but that is not because it is a poorly executed mechanic, it is simply because the rest such as exploration, terror or characters take away prominence for standing out more in the set.

Technically it is a show available only to the most powerful computers. A narrative shooter that does not try to be realistic nor arcade getting accommodated it an intermediate point where the saga feels at ease.
