MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE
23/10/2023 - 20:10Developed by the Byking studio and by Bandai Namco, the first online multiplayer of the highly acclaimed My Hero Academia series (Boku No Hero) comes to us from Japanese territory.
No introduction is necessary, but for those who do not know who Izuku Midoriya is, we are going to give a brief introduction. This is the protagonist of one of the most successful anime series of recent times, which tells the story of a group of young students with various superpowers who attend a superhero training academy. This game offers a generous assortment of heroes and villains, which is also very cool. You don't need to know much more about the game's history to enjoy it, but we still highly recommend that you watch My Hero Academia because you will surely enjoy it.
The basis of the game is choosing a character to play online in a team of 3 players to win against 7 other teams in the purest Battle Royale style (although it could be classified more as Brawler Royale, since most of the combat is carried out hand-to-hand). Each character has their own skills and a characteristic combat style, as it could not be otherwise. Also, another typical thing about these games that could not be missing is the customization of the characters, which can be customized as we wish with different costumes, voices, and postures that we will unlock as we win battles.
One thing to keep in mind is the 5 character profiles: aggressor, tank, dynamic, technical, and protector. Once our character has been selected, we will deploy on the map and we will have to be quick to avoid dying at the hands of our enemies and collect items that enhance our abilities. As in other battle royales, as the game progresses the map will shrink and if we stay outside the safe zone, we will receive damage until we die.
As for the gameplay, this game has fairly easy controls to handle. The action is very frenetic so these types of quick and simple controls are appreciated. The only downside is that the menu function is quite slow in proportion to the speed of the game.
Regarding the graphics, we find a highly polished finish to the illustrations that are identical to those of the anime. The visual effects are excellent and the map design is very successful.
It has a good soundtrack, with matching sound effects and Japanese voices of each character. We can modify our character's verbal repertoire as we obtain new collectibles when we level up.
In short, MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE is a very promising free-to-play. Not only for fans of the series, but also for the general public. It is fun and very dynamic. Obviously, it needs to optimize some minor details, which is to be expected in a beta version.
