Three years after introducing themselves with “PARANOIA,” League of Legends’ virtual boy band HEARTSTEEL have released a new single. “Live My Life” reunites Ezreal, Sett, Yone, K’Sante, Aphelios and Kayn in an official music video featuring Anderson .Paak, BAEKHYUN, Connor Price and Nic D.
Released on September 18, 2026, the track is the group’s first new song since its 2023 debut. It brings back the full six-member fictional lineup while changing much of the talent behind the recorded vocals. BAEKHYUN returns as Ezreal; Anderson .Paak takes on K’Sante, Connor Price voices Sett, and Nic D performs as Kayn.
For fans who have waited to see whether HEARTSTEEL would become more than a one-song project, that distinction matters. This is a continuation of the band Riot Games established in 2023, with a new creative team contributing to its next chapter.
“Live My Life” Brings All Six HEARTSTEEL Members Back
Ezreal, Sett, Yone, K’Sante, Aphelios and Kayn are all part of the return. Riot Games names every member in its announcement for “Live My Life,” including Kayn, whose inclusion gets a pointed “yes, even Kayn.”
The official track credits, however, name four featured performers rather than six. That reflects the way HEARTSTEEL works as a virtual act: the champions are the members of the fictional band, while real artists provide the voices heard on a particular release. Yone and Aphelios remain members of HEARTSTEEL, but neither has been announced as having a separate featured vocalist on this single.
The distinction is useful for anyone discovering the group through the new video. HEARTSTEEL is not simply a collaboration among four musicians using a League of Legends name. It is an alternate-universe version of six recognizable champions, with the music and videos giving those characters identities beyond their roles in the game.
BAEKHYUN Returns Alongside Three New Featured Artists
BAEKHYUN provides the clearest connection between HEARTSTEEL’s two releases. He performed as Ezreal on “PARANOIA” and returns to the role for “Live My Life.” The other featured voices introduce a different combination of artists to the band.
Anderson .Paak performs as K’Sante, Connor Price takes on Sett, and Nic D voices Kayn. Together, they replace the featured lineup heard alongside BAEKHYUN on the 2023 debut, which included tobi lou, ØZI and Cal Scruby.
That change allows HEARTSTEEL to keep its fictional membership intact while evolving musically. Rather than treating the group as inseparable from one recording lineup, Riot can pair its established champions with artists suited to a new song. For returning listeners, Ezreal’s familiar voice provides continuity; the other performances mark “Live My Life” as a fresh release rather than a recreation of “PARANOIA.”
Jon Bellion wrote and produced the new single. The announced theme centers on embracing who you are and living without apology, giving the comeback a direct statement of self-expression. It is a fitting premise for a band whose members were originally reimagined as musicians with lives outside Summoner’s Rift.
A Comeback Nearly Three Years After “PARANOIA”
HEARTSTEEL debuted in October 2023 with “PARANOIA.” The original single introduced the six champions as a band and established the combination of real-world performers and animated League of Legends characters that defines the project.
The gap since that release gives “Live My Life” more weight than an ordinary follow-up. Riot Games has continued to develop music around its games, but HEARTSTEEL itself had not released another single in the intervening years. The new music video answers the basic question of whether the group would return, even as it leaves open what might come next.
It also gives fans a chance to encounter the band on its own terms. Someone does not need to play Ezreal, Sett or Kayn to recognize the appeal of a virtual act built around distinct personalities and a rotating cast of performers. For League players, meanwhile, the pleasure lies partly in seeing familiar champions interpreted through a completely different creative setting.
That does not mean the single should be read as an announcement of new in-game content. The music video confirms HEARTSTEEL’s comeback, but it does not by itself establish a new skin release, event or album. Those would require separate announcements from Riot Games.
Riot Games Keeps Building Beyond the Rift
HEARTSTEEL sits within Riot Games’ wider approach to music: taking characters players already know and placing them in projects that can stand apart from a match of League of Legends. Riot has described its virtual artists as another way for fans to experience champions, with HEARTSTEEL drawing inspiration from the enthusiasm surrounding K/DA.
“Live My Life” shows how that approach can support a second chapter. The six band members remain recognizable, BAEKHYUN reprises Ezreal, and three new featured artists bring their own identities to K’Sante, Sett and Kayn. Bellion’s songwriting and production give the return a distinct creative foundation.
For now, the confirmed release is the single and its official music video. Whether HEARTSTEEL follows it with further songs or other projects remains to be announced. What is certain is that “PARANOIA” is no longer the band’s only track: the boys are back, and “Live My Life” is available now.
