Marathon sets its launch and begins the hunt for secrets on Tau Ceti IV

The new Marathonuniverse finally has a date. Bungie has confirmed the game will launch on March 5, 2026, accompanied by a Pre-Order Trailer that clearly defines the tone of the experience: buried secrets, decaying corruption and a corporation that holds the shovel… while you do the dirty work.

The action is set on the lost colony of Tau Ceti IV, a hostile environment where every incursion revolves around looting, survival and extraction. As a Runner, your role is to venture into forgotten ruins, recover valuable resources and make it out alive in a world where nothing is permanent and everything can be lost in seconds.

Developed by the creators of Halo and Destiny, Marathon bets on an identity defined by constant tension, environmental storytelling and high-stakes decision-making. The trailer makes it clear: this isn't just another shooter, but an experience where lore, danger and corporate ambition intertwine from the very first deployment.
