The countdown is over. Marathon celebrates its world premiere with the launch cinematic “In Death We’ve Just Begun,” a breathtaking music video performed by Poppy in collaboration with Son Lux.

The track mirrors the game’s narrative with a dark, futuristic tone that perfectly fits its sci-fi universe. The question posed by the video— “If you escape, will they call you god?”—perfectly encapsulates the essence of this extraction shooter: surviving a hostile world where every incursion can turn you into a legend… or just another victim.

In Marathon, players venture onto the planet Tau Ceti IV, an abandoned colony teeming with secrets, rival factions, and unpredictable dangers. The objective is simple in theory: drop in, secure valuable loot, and extract alive. In practice, every mission becomes a high-stakes challenge where risk and reward are in constant tension.

The track “In Death We’ve Just Begun” will be available on all streaming platforms starting at midnight on March 4, while the full Marathon OST arrives on March 6, expanding the sonic universe that accompanies every deployment
