Marvel Snap’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day Season Brings Moveable Cards, New Locations and a Packed July Event Calendar
29/06/2026 - 08:00
MARVEL SNAP is swinging into a new themed season with Spider-Man: Brand New Day, introducing a fresh set of Spider-Man-inspired cards, two new locations, limited-time game modes and a dense calendar of rewards across July.
The season is built around a new Moveable card identity, with several of its key additions rewarding players for shifting cards between locations rather than relying on traditional move effects alone. That makes Brand New Day more than a cosmetic Spider-Man drop: it is also a mechanical push toward deckbuilding around repeated repositioning, hand manipulation and location-based power scaling.
The new season includes Premium Pass card Spider-Man Brand New Day, Super Premium reward Mary Jane, five new Series 5 cards, two Series 4 event cards, Team Clash, a special Grand Arena event, Twitch Drops, new albums and multiple Featured Sets.
Spider-Man Brand New Day leads a new Moveable package
The headline card is Spider-Man Brand New Day, a Series 5 character included with the Premium Season Pass.
Its effect allows it to move twice, and whenever it moves to a location it gives another one of your cards there +1 Power, including unrevealed cards. That creates an immediate incentive to move Spider-Man into lanes where your board is already developing, turning each reposition into a small but repeatable power boost.
The Super Premium Season Pass adds Mary Jane, another Series 5 card designed to support the same play pattern. At the end of each turn, Mary Jane gives every one of your cards that moved that turn +1 Power.
Together, the two cards point toward a season where movement is not just about accessing closed locations or dodging disruption. It becomes a direct engine for building Power across multiple lanes. The important distinction is that these cards reward movement after cards are already in play, potentially giving players more flexibility than older move-focused archetypes built around one large Human Torch or Vulture turn.
Aunt May, Boomerang and Scorpion expand the season’s card pool
Brand New Day will add a range of Series 5 cards through Seasonal SNAP Packs and limited-time content throughout the month.
Aunt May rewards players who use a Moveable ability by reducing the Cost of a Moveable card in hand by one while giving it +2 Power. That makes her a potential consistency tool for decks looking to chain movement effects across multiple turns.
Tarantula focuses on maintaining board control. At the end of the turn, if you have the highest Power among cards in play, it grants itself and two cards in your hand +1 Power. Its value will depend heavily on whether players can reliably stay ahead during early and mid-game turns without overcommitting resources.
Boomerang introduces a disruptive hand effect. When it returns to your hand, it randomly steals four Power from cards in the opponent’s hand. Players can activate the card to send it back, giving the effect an intentional trigger rather than making it fully dependent on external bounce tools.
The season also includes Scorpion Brand New Day, a new version of the classic affliction card. Its Ongoing ability doubles Power reductions on all enemy cards, potentially making it a major payoff for decks built around negative Power effects.
The largest and most unusual card in the set is The Sinister Six. At game start, the first six characters drawn are marked as Evil. Once all six have been played, they merge into The Sinister Six and add it to the location of the last card played. It is a highly thematic design with a clear deckbuilding restriction, but its real strength will depend on the final body of the merged card and how reliably players can meet the six-card condition.
Tombstone and Spider-Sense arrive through limited-time events
Two Series 4 cards will be available through time-limited modes rather than the normal Seasonal SNAP Pack route.
Tombstone will be offered through Team Clash, running from July 6 to July 12. Its On Reveal ability destroys your lowest-Power card at each other location, making it a potential tool for clearing unwanted cards, triggering destroy synergies or removing low-value bodies from crowded lanes.
Spider-Sense arrives through a special Grand Arena event running from July 22 to July 27. On Reveal, it gives your characters at that location +2 Power, while its Cost is reduced by one for each Moveable card you have played.
That effect fits the season’s central mechanic cleanly. In a dedicated Moveable deck, Spider-Sense could become an efficient late-game Power swing, especially when players have already established movement chains across earlier turns.
Empire State University and Pizza Place change the final turns
Brand New Day adds two new locations to MARVEL SNAP’s rotation.
Empire State University gives players +2 Energy on turn six, opening the door for larger final-turn combinations. The location could be especially important for decks that rely on explosive finishers, expensive tech cards or combinations that normally struggle to fit inside the game’s standard Energy curve.
Pizza Place adds two Pizza Slices to your hand. Each Pizza Slice has an On Reveal effect that merges it into one of your cards at that location.
That introduces another way to consolidate Power into a single card, potentially creating interesting interactions with cards that scale from mergers, location capacity or final-turn buffs. The exact tactical value will depend on which card receives the Pizza Slice and whether players can make use of the effect before the lane becomes full.
Team Clash, Grand Arena and Hyper Cube Rush fill the month with events
The season’s event calendar is unusually busy.
Hyper Cube Rush is already live and gives eligible pre-Infinite-ranked players bonus cubes until their event pool is exhausted. Every win earns double cubes while the event remains active, creating a faster route up the ranked ladder for players who can maintain momentum.
Team Clash returns from July 6 to July 12, bringing Tombstone as its reward-track card. Players choose a team, customise a deck and compete for season-exclusive rewards.
A special Grand Arena event follows from July 22 to July 27. This version combines Grand Arena with Sanctum Showdown, asking players to select a champion, build a deck around that card and earn Spider-Sense through Sanctum Scoring.
Second Dinner has also confirmed a Spider-Man-themed tournament concept built around the new Brand New Day cards. The developer says the event will use a revised ban list intended to encourage more creative and off-meta deckbuilding, although further details have not yet been announced.
Twitch Drops, albums and Featured Sets add more collection rewards
Players can earn Twitch Drops by watching MARVEL SNAP creators from July 9 to July 11 and again from July 22 to July 27. The confirmed rewards include 155 Boosters after two hours, a Premium Mystery Border after four hours and a Premium Mystery Variant after six hours.
The season will also introduce two new albums. The Dan Hipp “Stay Hipp or Get Hit” Album arrives on July 7, while the Derrick Chew “Chew Wanna Fight About It?” Album follows on July 21. Both offer emotes, Premium Mystery Borders, 4,000 Collector’s Tokens and a final featured Variant reward for players who complete their collection milestones.
Featured Sets will rotate throughout the season as well. The schedule includes Venomized from July 2 to July 6, Midnight Sons from July 9 to July 13, Negative Power from July 23 to July 27, and Spidey Birthday from July 30 to August 3.
A season built around movement, power scaling and Spider-Man chaos
Spider-Man: Brand New Day has more going on than a typical character-themed season. Its card design is clearly trying to establish Moveable as a more complete mechanical package, with Spider-Man Brand New Day and Mary Jane offering consistent rewards for players who can reposition their board efficiently.
The strongest cards will likely be the ones that turn movement into repeatable Power without sacrificing tempo. Spider-Man Brand New Day already appears flexible because it can move twice while buffing a different card after each relocation, and Mary Jane could become a serious payoff in any deck that can trigger several moves per turn.
The unknown is whether the new package will be strong enough to compete with established archetypes rather than simply becoming another niche movement shell. The season’s card releases, event rewards and new locations should provide enough tools to test that question across July. More information here.
