Bandai Namco Entertainment has released Izuku Midoriya Overlay Full Style as the third downloadable fighter for My Hero Academia: All’s Justice. This new version of Deku is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam, bringing his most advanced combat style to the game’s already extensive roster of heroes and villains.
Izuku Midoriya Overlay Full Style is part of the game’s five-character Season Pass and is automatically available to players who own the Deluxe Edition, Ultimate Edition or Season Pass. The character can also be purchased separately, although Bandai Namco warns players to avoid buying the individual DLC if they already own an edition that includes the pass.
The DLC launches alongside Version 4.00, which introduces character balance adjustments, stability improvements, additional minigames and other updates to the 3D arena fighter.
Deku pushes One For All to its latest level
Overlay Full Style represents one of Izuku Midoriya’s most powerful incarnations, translating his determination during the climactic portion of My Hero Academia into a new playable moveset. His arrival reflects one of the defining ideas behind All’s Justice: bringing together characters from across the complete story while also including their final and fully powered forms.
Bandai Namco describes the character as the future Symbol of Peace fighting at a new level of One For All. The accompanying announcement emphasizes his willingness to continue moving forward regardless of the physical pain involved, presenting this version of Deku as a fighter who turns overwhelming pressure into increasingly forceful offense.
This is not simply an alternative costume for an existing Midoriya. Overlay Full Style is treated as an independent playable character with his own techniques and combat identity, allowing players to include this late-story version in their three-character team compositions.
The concept should be familiar to players of anime arena fighters, where major transformations and different stages of a character’s development are frequently separated into individual roster slots. In this case, the approach gives the developers room to represent Deku’s later abilities without being restricted by the design of his earlier playable versions.
Blackchain becomes a central offensive tool
The official announcement specifically highlights Blackchain as one of Overlay Full Style’s defining techniques. Although Bandai Namco has not published a complete frame-by-frame breakdown of his attacks, the ability is presented as part of an arsenal designed to produce explosive offense and extended combinations.
Blackchain is especially appropriate for the game’s arena-based combat. A technique capable of interacting with opponents at range can potentially help Deku control space, initiate an attack or maintain pressure after launching an enemy. Its inclusion also gives the character a visual and mechanical identity that distinguishes him from versions focused more narrowly on straightforward One For All strikes.
The DLC’s official description places considerable emphasis on chaining attacks together. This suggests that Overlay Full Style has been constructed around maintaining offensive momentum rather than relying exclusively on isolated, high-damage blows. Players who learn how to connect his mobility, Blackchain techniques and physical attacks should be able to create more elaborate sequences.
However, the publisher has not provided detailed damage values, recovery times or competitive frame data in its written announcement. The character’s exact position within the multiplayer metagame will therefore depend on practical testing by the community following his release.
Delaware Smash delivers the explosive finish
Delaware Smash is the other named technique confirmed as part of Overlay Full Style’s moveset. The attack has long been associated with Deku’s ability to concentrate the power of One For All into a focused air-pressure strike, and its inclusion provides the new fighter with another recognizable tool.
In All’s Justice, the technique contributes to the character’s emphasis on explosive attacks. Depending on how it connects with his wider moveset, Delaware Smash can provide the kind of ranged pressure or combo-finishing power required to punish opponents attempting to retreat after a close-range exchange.
The important distinction is that Overlay Full Style appears to combine these familiar One For All attacks with the broader range of abilities available to Deku during the final stages of the story. Rather than depicting him as an inexperienced student struggling to control his Quirk, the DLC presents a combatant capable of using his powers as parts of a unified fighting system.
That progression matters in a game explicitly built around the Final War. All’s Justice does not only revisit the beginning of Midoriya’s journey; it gives players access to the fighters involved in the story’s largest confrontations and attempts to represent the full scale of their strongest abilities.
A new option for the three-versus-three system
My Hero Academia: All’s Justice structures its battles around teams of three characters. Players can combine U.A. students, Pro Heroes and villains before switching between their selected fighters during a match.
Overlay Full Style’s arrival consequently affects more than individual matchups. His value will also depend on how effectively his abilities complement other team members. A character with strong combo extension and ranged pressure could be useful for maintaining an offensive sequence after a switch, while a powerful finisher may help capitalize on openings created by a supporting fighter.
The game’s team format also allows players to build groups around specific points in the My Hero Academia timeline or ignore canon entirely in favor of mechanical synergy. Overlay Full Style can fight beside other late-story heroes, earlier versions of familiar characters or unlikely allies drawn from the villain roster.
All’s Justice describes its combat as a refined battle system intended to push each character’s Quirk to its limit. The large number of alternate and full-powered forms plays an important role in that objective, because two versions of the same hero can emphasize very different periods, abilities and approaches to battle.
DLC 3 advances the five-character Season Pass
Izuku Midoriya Overlay Full Style is the third fighter released through the current Season Pass. He follows Star and Stripe and Nana Shimura, both of whom expanded the game with important figures connected to the history and legacy of One For All.
The complete Season Pass contains five playable characters, meaning two additional fighters are still scheduled to follow Overlay Full Style. Bandai Namco states that all five Season Pass characters will be available by February 6, 2027, although the identities and individual release dates of the remaining additions have not yet been detailed on the official game page.
Season Pass owners also receive the Worldwide Star collectible card as a bonus. Both the pass and its characters are available separately, making it possible for players to purchase only the roster additions they intend to use.
Overlay Full Style’s position as DLC 3 also reinforces the thematic direction established by the first two releases. Rather than limiting the post-launch roster to secondary characters, the pass has so far concentrated on figures with major connections to the inheritance, development and ultimate purpose of One For All.
Version 4.00 expands the game beyond the new fighter
The character arrives alongside Version 4.00, which became available on September 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. Installing the latest update is required to access the current version of the game and its associated adjustments.
The patch improves overall stability and introduces character balance changes across the existing roster. Bandai Namco has published the detailed balancing information separately, but the main patch announcement does not reproduce every individual adjustment.
Version 4.00 also adds ten new minigames, expanding the activities available outside standard arena battles. This is a notable addition for players interested in the broader U.A. student experience represented by Team Up Mission and the game’s Virtual Space content.
After completing Story Mode, players can now also encounter a new title-screen visual selected at random when launching the game. The image is an original illustration by BONES FILM titled Izuku Midoriya Rising, connecting the update’s presentation directly to Deku’s progression.
All’s Justice also includes Archives Battle Mode, which lets players revisit major confrontations from earlier portions of the series, while its Story Mode focuses on the Final War. Overlay Full Style naturally belongs to the latter side of that structure, representing the hero after years of training, sacrifice and increasingly difficult battles.
Nintendo Switch 2 release arrives alongside the DLC
The base game launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4, 2026. Bandai Namco states that DLC 3 will become available on the platform once the Switch 2 version has launched, bringing its roster closer to the versions already available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The Version 4.00 update will also be available for the Nintendo Switch 2 edition following its release. Platform-specific timing may still affect when individual downloads appear in each region’s digital storefront.
With his combination of Blackchain, Delaware Smash and advanced One For All techniques, Izuku Midoriya Overlay Full Style expands the roster with a more complete representation of the protagonist at the height of the Final War. His release gives players another offensively focused fighter to explore while moving the Season Pass into its second half.
DLC 3: Izuku Midoriya Overlay Full Style is available now for My Hero Academia: All’s Justice on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version following the launch of the game on September 4.
