National colours are about to replace familiar esports banners on one of the biggest competitive stages in Asia. NARAKA: BLADEPOINT will make its Asian Games medal debut in Aichi-Nagoya, with the competition beginning on September 22 PT—or September 23 in Japan—and bringing together leading contenders from eight Asian countries and regions.

The new “Head to the Asian Games 2026!” trailer celebrates that milestone while also introducing a wider in-game campaign. Players will be able to follow the tournament, enter the Dueling! series of limited-time events, collect exclusive rewards and obtain new outfits created around the spirit of international competition.

NARAKA: BLADEPOINT joins the Asian Games medal programme

The Olympic Council of Asia officially selected NARAKA: BLADEPOINT as one of the 11 esports titles included in the 20th Asian Games. Esports first appeared at the 2018 edition as a demonstration discipline before becoming a full medal sport at the Hangzhou Asian Games, making its return to the programme particularly significant.

Aichi-Nagoya 2026 will run from September 19 to October 4, with esports taking place at the Aichi Sky Expo. The venue will also host disciplines such as breaking, fencing and skateboarding, placing digital competition alongside more traditional sporting events.

According to the official NARAKA esports portal, its Asian Games tournament will be contested across September 23 and 24 in Japan. The September 22 PT starting time promoted in the trailer reflects the time-zone difference for North American viewers. Eight qualified countries and regions will compete for the title, transforming NARAKA’s melee combat into a contest for an official Asian Games medal rather than a conventional professional prize pool.

For the game’s competitive scene, that distinction matters. Players will be representing national and regional delegations, and the eventual champion will be recorded within the broader history of the Asian Games.

Two days of clashes for Asian Games glory

NARAKA: BLADEPOINT offers an unusual spectacle within the esports programme. Rather than relying primarily on firearms or traditional lane-based objectives, its identity is built around close-range weapon combat, counters, mobility and hero abilities.

That combination can produce rapidly changing encounters in which positioning is just as important as mechanical execution. Grappling movement allows competitors to close distances or escape dangerous situations, while the focus system creates an ongoing battle between attacks, counters and carefully timed defensive decisions.

The Asian Games setting should make those confrontations even more intense. A mistake that would normally cost a tournament round now carries consequences for an entire national delegation, while successful reads and decisive counterattacks could determine who leaves Aichi with a medal.

The official competition page promises schedules, standings, replays and wider tournament coverage. More precise broadcast times and match information should therefore be available through the NARAKA esports platform as the opening contests approach.

The Dueling! celebration has already begun in-game

Players do not have to wait for the medal tournament to enter the competitive atmosphere. The September 16 update introduced several connected activities under the Dueling! banner, with the main event period running until October 8 at 20:00 UTC.

At the centre of the celebration is Martial Artist Duel: Competition, a casual mode designed around consecutive one-on-one battles. Each match uses a best-of-five structure, and the first player to claim three rounds wins. Competitors select their heroes and weapons during the preparation phase, but previously chosen options cannot be reused.

Every hero begins with full Rage, while health, armour and skill cooldowns reset between rounds. If both fighters remain standing when time expires, the result is decided through damage dealt, remaining health and armour, and ultimately which participant landed the first hit.

This mode should not automatically be interpreted as confirmation of the official Asian Games ruleset. Instead, it gives the wider community an accessible way to experience the pressure of an arena-style competition while the real medal event unfolds in Japan.

Personal progress contributes to a larger community objective

Dueling! 0924 connects individual participation with server-wide progression. Completing associated activities grants Chaser’s Cards, which count simultaneously towards a player’s personal total and the combined community objective.

Collecting 1,400 Chaser’s Cards unlocks the complete set of personal progression rewards. A separate limited-time login event is also planned for after the tournament, offering additional cards and exclusive items.

Dueling Masters provides another route through the celebration. Players can complete one Martial Artist Duel: Competition match or two matches in any mode each day to earn Duel Points. Special best-of-three variants will become available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with additional points awarded according to the number of rounds won.

Results also feed into an overall leaderboard. When the event concludes, the best-performing participants will receive limited title rewards, giving committed duelists something more permanent to pursue than routine progression materials.

Race to Gold and Treasure Chase expand the reward pool

The Asian Games campaign stretches beyond direct duels. Race to Gold introduces daily and challenge quests that award Chosen One Gold Medals, which can then be spent in the Glory Prize Pool.

Available rewards include a Legendary hairstyle for Viper Ning, a Legendary background and Polar Light Treasure Choice Gifts. The redemption period closes alongside the wider event on October 8, so players will need to spend their medals before they expire.

Treasure Chase uses a separate progression path based on Chaser’s Torches. Accumulating those torches awards experience and unlocks rewards at different levels. An optional Advanced Treasure Chase Pass adds premium prizes, including Legendary outfits and Gold.

Cheer Supply Station provides another collectible objective. Completing the relevant Collection sets can unlock exclusive rewards, including three new Legendary banners: Martial Duel, Eternal Glory and Undefeated. Its random gift pool can also contain melee, ranged-weapon and outfit choice gifts.

Meanwhile, Eternal Glory awards additional Chaser’s Cards through Survival, Showdown, Rift Traversal and Casual modes. Performance factors such as damage, counters and healing contribute to the amount earned, although match-based progression is limited by a weekly cap.

New Asian Games outfits carry the celebration onto the battlefield

A selection of themed cosmetics has arrived alongside the events. Kurumi receives the Legendary Edge Unbound outfit, Yueshan gains Fearless Dawn and Lyam Liu gets Across the Land. Each is sold through an Asian Games pack that also contains a matching Legendary hairstyle.

The update additionally introduces Gilded Plume, a Legendary skin for the Fan weapon, as well as a Final Round kill announcement and the Radio Calisthenics rescue effect. Kurumi and Yueshan’s outfits support unlockable Iridescent Paint variants, providing extra visual customisation beyond their standard appearances.

Rift Traversal also includes an Asian Games crossover collectible. Searching lootable containers fills a special progress bar, guaranteeing an event collectible once the bar is completed. Although boosted availability ends in October, the developers say items from the collection will remain obtainable through containers afterwards.

A landmark moment for NARAKA esports

The Asian Games appearance gives NARAKA: BLADEPOINT a stage that reaches far beyond its established professional circuit. Athletes will not simply be playing for an organisation, seasonal trophy or cash prize—they will be competing within a multi-sport event featuring 43 sports and delegations from across Asia.

At home, the Dueling! campaign turns that occasion into a broader community celebration rather than leaving it exclusively to the qualified competitors. Between the arena mode, shared progression, medal-inspired rewards, crossover collectibles and commemorative outfits, the event has been built to make the tournament visible throughout the game.

The medal race begins September 22 PT and continues across September 23–24 in Japan. By the end of those two days, NARAKA: BLADEPOINT will have crowned its first Asian Games champion.
