NARAKA: BLADEPOINT’s July 29 store update brings Ancient Isle Lannie, Sweet Dreams Zai and four summer Nunchucks designs
NARAKA: BLADEPOINT is preparing another major cosmetic rotation for July 29 PT, introducing new collections for Lannie and Zai alongside a randomized Summer Party cosmetic for the Nunchucks.
The official Store Update Preview places three very different visual concepts inside the same release.
Lannie embraces the mysticism of the Ancient Isle collection, expanding one of the principal themes introduced during NARAKA’s fifth-anniversary season. Zai joins the Sweet Dreams range with a deliberately softer appearance that contrasts with her usual fire, chains and executioner imagery. The Nunchucks receive four possible Summer Party designs distributed through a randomized collection item.
The update arrives on the same day as Ye Xiu’s official launch and the beginning of the full NARAKA: BLADEPOINT × The King’s Avatar crossover. Players will consequently have several competing uses for their Gold, including Ye Xiu’s Team Demeter outfit, crossover cosmetics and the new store collections.
Exact pack contents, individual prices, discount rates, acquisition probabilities and removal dates have not yet been published in the global patch notes. The preview establishes the lineup and July 29 availability, but the live store will provide the final purchasing conditions.
Lannie becomes the next hero to enter the Ancient Isle collection
The July 29 update gives Lannie a new cosmetic connected to the Ancient Isle range.
NARAKA has been expanding this collection throughout its fifth-anniversary period. Existing pieces have combined island mythology, plant imagery, ceremonial materials and supernatural effects rather than using the modern beachwear associated with the Summer Party line.
The anniversary update already introduced several prominent Ancient Isle cosmetics.
Ziping Yin received the Evernight Bloom outfit through the Anniversary: Myriad progression package, accompanied by the Petal Flow Bow skin. Her Violet Iris hairstyle was added separately to the store, while Hadi received the Cinder Wraith accessory capable of changing the appearance of his Ultimate.
Lannie extends the theme to a hero whose identity already sits between performance and supernatural illusion.
She is an acrobat and conjuror who survived personal tragedy before travelling to Morus Isle in an attempt to change the fate that had been imposed upon her. Her movement revolves around flying through the battlefield on her enchanted carpet, manipulating Trick Balls and turning apparently playful performances into dangerous combat sequences.
Ancient Isle imagery can emphasize the more mysterious side of those abilities.
Rather than presenting Lannie only as a colorful entertainer, the collection can make her appear connected to the forgotten rituals and natural forces surrounding Wanchu. Her carpet, magical effects and airborne movement provide several opportunities for the design to remain visible after the match begins.
The collection should suit Lannie’s constant movement
Cosmetics in NARAKA are rarely judged only from the character-selection screen.
A hero’s outfit needs to remain readable while climbing, grappling, dodging and fighting through complicated melee exchanges. Lannie creates an additional challenge because much of her visual identity is expressed while she is moving above the ground.
Her Vanishing Act skill allows her to fly with the carpet, while Tricky Bounce revolves around launching and retrieving Trick Balls. Large accessories, excessively rigid clothing or effects that hide her body position could interfere with the clarity of those actions.
The strongest Ancient Isle design will therefore complement her movement rather than competing with it.
Flowing materials can reinforce the impression that Lannie is gliding through the air. Floral or oceanic details can connect her with Wanchu and the anniversary theme. More ceremonial elements can suggest that the performer has encountered something older and more powerful than the audiences she once entertained.
However, the silhouette must still communicate which action she is performing.
An opponent needs to recognize when Lannie is entering flight, preparing a Trick Ball sequence or becoming vulnerable after an ability ends. Cosmetic complexity cannot be allowed to obscure the timing that makes those interactions fair.
Ancient Isle is becoming an anniversary-wide visual universe
The decision to expand Ancient Isle beyond one hero and one weapon indicates that it is becoming one of the defining collections of the Myriad season.
The theme is closely connected to Wanchu, NARAKA’s first amphibious Survival map. Wanchu introduced underwater movement and combat while surrounding its new battlefield with marine ruins, ancient mechanisms and a civilization whose technology appears inseparable from myth.
Ancient Isle cosmetics translate that environmental identity into equipment players can carry outside the map.
A Bow skin, hairstyle, Ultimate accessory and several outfits allow the theme to remain visible in Morus Isle, Holoroth, Perdoria, Rift Traversal and social areas. The collection consequently becomes larger than a temporary celebration of one location.
Lannie is particularly suitable for that expansion because her own story is built around spectacle, fate and hidden forces.
Ziping Yin represented the collection through healing and natural imagery. Hadi’s Cinder Wraith moved it toward mechanical and supernatural aggression. Lannie can emphasize illusion, ritual performance and movement.
That range prevents Ancient Isle from becoming one repeated combination of colors placed onto every hero.
Zai’s Sweet Dreams collection creates the update’s sharpest contrast
Zai receives the second principal cosmetic concept in the July 29 preview.
Her Sweet Dreams collection moves one of NARAKA’s most violent heroes into a softer bedtime theme. The official description invites players to drift into a comfortable slumber, an unusual proposition from a character normally associated with chains, judgment and flames.
That contradiction is the main appeal.
Zai is Tarka Ji’s younger sister and a fighter whose visual language traditionally emphasizes punishment. Her abilities allow her to resist pressure, create distance and unleash chained blades during her Ultimate.
Her established cosmetics frequently reinforce that dangerous identity through dark materials, demonic motifs, military designs or imagery connected to execution and rebellion.
Sweet Dreams deliberately moves in the opposite direction.
It presents Zai outside the mythology of the merciless avenger and asks what she might look like during a rare moment in which no enemy needs to be hunted.
The Sweet Dreams series works by softening dangerous heroes
Sweet Dreams has developed into one of NARAKA’s most recognizable lifestyle collections.
Previous releases have placed heroes in sleepwear, introduced bedroom-inspired backgrounds and bases, and added accessories built around pillows, stuffed animals, clouds, rabbits and other deliberately comforting imagery.
The July 16 store update expanded the range with Kurumi’s Downy Dream collection and Tessa’s Night Revel set.
Kurumi received a dedicated outfit and hairstyle, supported by a sleeping pose, Rabbit Reverie background and Starry Slumber base. Tessa’s pack included an outfit, hairstyle and specialized voice pack, accompanied by the Heart Stealer pose.
Zai gives the range another personality.
Kurumi naturally fits a cheerful and comforting bedtime aesthetic. Tessa can treat sleep as another stage for charm, mischief and seduction. Zai creates humor through the distance between the costume and the person wearing it.
A soft bedroom outfit does not make her less capable of eliminating an opponent with chained blades.
It makes that elimination visually more absurd.
Zai needs to remain recognizable beneath the softer theme
A successful contrast cosmetic should not remove every trait that makes the original character distinctive.
Zai’s posture, facial expressions and movement carry a controlled hostility that should remain present even when her clothing adopts a more relaxed appearance. Making her completely cheerful would weaken the joke because the collection would no longer feel like Zai reluctantly participating in a bedtime theme.
The costume should look comfortable.
Zai should still look dangerous.
That balance can be achieved through sharper accessories, restrained expressions or small references to her chains and fire. Her Ultimate provides the most important test. Once Zai enters her empowered state, the visual transition must remain compatible with the Sweet Dreams outfit without becoming impossible to read.
NARAKA has previously used premium accessories to alter the appearance of hero abilities, but no such gameplay-effect accessory has been confirmed for this particular release.
Players should therefore evaluate only what the preview and live item descriptions explicitly include. The presence of a themed outfit does not automatically mean Zai’s Ultimate, chains or flames receive a complete visual replacement.
The July 29 update continues a rapid Sweet Dreams rotation
The timing of Zai’s collection is notable because the Kurumi and Tessa Sweet Dreams items are scheduled around the preceding July 16 store period.
That creates a rolling release rather than one large simultaneous collection.
Players interested in building a broader Sweet Dreams catalogue may encounter several purchases across consecutive store rotations. The approach keeps the theme visible for longer, but it also makes the total cost less obvious than a single collection page would.
Each hero’s pack must be assessed independently.
A player who frequently uses Zai may receive more value from her July 29 collection than from purchasing every earlier Sweet Dreams item only to complete the theme. Someone focused on Kurumi or Tessa should not assume that a later Zai release makes the previous packs incomplete.
Collection completion has psychological value, but it does not improve combat performance.
NARAKA’s cosmetics do not increase damage, shorten cooldowns or provide additional Focus. The practical value comes from how often the owner uses the hero and how visible the design remains during normal play.
The Nunchucks receive four Summer Party possibilities
The third part of the store preview introduces a randomized Nunchucks Summer Party collection cosmetic.
The item contains four distinct summer designs, allowing the same weapon to appear through several variations connected to NARAKA’s seasonal beach theme.
This is different from purchasing one clearly identified Legendary weapon skin.
The official announcement describes the result as random, meaning players should inspect the store interface carefully before buying. The price, duplicate rules, purchase limit and method for obtaining all four appearances have not yet been confirmed through the global patch documentation.
Several questions need clear answers:
Does each purchase unlock one currently unowned design?
Can the same design appear repeatedly?
Is there a fixed limit of four purchases?
Can players select a preferred variant after collecting them?
Does ownership of all four produce another reward?
Can the individual designs be purchased directly?
Until those conditions are visible, the item should be treated as a randomized cosmetic rather than a conventional four-style weapon skin.
The Diving Surprise Box provides a possible precedent, not a guarantee
NARAKA recently introduced another randomized collection product through the Diving Surprise Box.
That July 2 item cost 120 Gold, could be purchased six times and unlocked one unowned accessory from a six-item diving-tank series. Players who already owned the entire collection received Spectral Silk instead.
The new Nunchucks item may use a similar structure, but this has not been confirmed.
It would be incorrect to assume that the weapon cosmetic shares the same price, duplicate protection or purchase limit simply because both products distribute random collection variants.
The final store description needs to specify those rules directly.
A system guaranteeing one new appearance per purchase is materially different from a conventional loot box. Four purchases would complete the collection at a predictable maximum cost.
A system allowing duplicate results would carry substantially more uncertainty.
The word “random” identifies the selection process. It does not explain the complete economy surrounding it.
Four weapon designs can offer variety without changing combat mechanics
The Nunchucks are already one of NARAKA’s most visually active weapons.
Their attack animations create rapid circular movement around the hero, while techniques such as Dragon Flurry produce repeated strikes that keep the weapon visible throughout the sequence.
A Summer Party collection can use that movement to make each design feel distinct.
One variant might emphasize water, another tropical fruit, another beach toys and another a more restrained holiday style. The official preview promises four different summer “vibes,” suggesting broader variation than simple recolors.
The exact individual themes and localized names remain unconfirmed.
Regardless of their appearance, all four cosmetics should preserve the normal Nunchucks silhouette and attack timing. Weapon skins do not introduce new damage values, Counter properties or Souljade interactions.
That competitive consistency is essential.
Players must be able to recognize the weapon being used and respond to its attacks even when the equipped cosmetic resembles an unconventional summer object.
Summer Party has become NARAKA’s seasonal counterweight to darker collections
NARAKA’s cosmetic catalogue regularly moves between ceremonial fantasy, cybernetic designs, horror imagery, historical collaborations and contemporary lifestyle themes.
Summer Party occupies the deliberately relaxed end of that spectrum.
Previous collections have introduced swimsuits, sunglasses, floats, beach hairstyles, vacation poses and weapons disguised as playful seasonal objects. Lyam Liu’s Lagoon Breeze pack continued the theme during the July 2 anniversary update, following earlier designs for heroes including Kurumi, Tarka Ji, Feria Shen, Matari, Viper Ning and Cyra.
The Summer Party Nunchucks extend the concept into a weapon category rather than attaching another complete outfit to a hero.
That can make the item more flexible.
A hero outfit is locked to one character. A Nunchucks skin can be used whenever the weapon is found, regardless of which hero entered the match. Players who regularly change characters may consequently see more value in a weapon collection than in another hero-specific costume.
The limitation is equally clear.
Battle Royale does not guarantee that the player will find Nunchucks during every match. The cosmetic remains invisible when another weapon is selected.
The store preview arrives during a broader cosmetic rotation
NARAKA began preparing its anniversary store changes before this July 29 release.
The June 30 Collection Rotation announcement confirmed that direct-sale Reversal Flows and Timeless Beauty outfits would temporarily leave the store, together with the 2022 and 2023 J Cup championship collections. Hero and weapon rotation pools were also updated to create space for new themes.
Ancient Isle, the expanded Sweet Dreams line and the new Summer Party products are part of that wider restructuring.
Rotating a collection out does not remove it from existing owners. Cosmetics already acquired remain usable and visible.
It does change availability for players who delayed a purchase.
A removed collection may return later through another rotation, event or choice gift, but a future date should not be assumed unless it has been announced. Conversely, an item being absent from the store does not automatically make it permanently exclusive.
Players should distinguish three different conditions:
A product with a published removal date.
A product described as limited-time without a precise future return.
A rotating product temporarily unavailable through direct sale.
Those conditions create different levels of urgency.
Ye Xiu’s launch makes Gold planning more important
The July 29 store release coincides with one of NARAKA’s largest crossover launches.
Ye Xiu officially joins the hero roster with the Kaleidoscope Parasol as part of The King’s Avatar collaboration. His Team Demeter outfit is also being distributed through an Official Team Shopping presale.
Players can place a 240 Gold deposit during the presale period. Server-wide participation determines the final discount, after which participants must pay the remaining balance before the event ends. A missed balance payment results in the deposit not being refunded.
That system creates another potential Gold commitment before the new store rotation is fully priced.
Players interested in both the crossover and the July 29 cosmetics should avoid evaluating each purchase independently. The relevant question is the combined amount required for everything they genuinely expect to use.
A Lannie player may prioritize Ancient Isle.
A Zai specialist may prefer Sweet Dreams.
A weapon collector may be more interested in completing the four Nunchucks variants.
A fan of The King’s Avatar may want to reserve most of the available Gold for Ye Xiu’s outfit and associated content.
The fact that several products launch together does not make them one bundle.
The preview does not yet provide a complete pricing breakdown
The social announcement and trailer establish the visual lineup but do not publish the complete commercial structure.
No global prices have been confirmed for the new Lannie and Zai collections. Their exact contents have not been listed, so it is not yet clear whether each will contain only an outfit or a larger pack with hairstyles, poses, accessories, backgrounds or bases.
The randomized Nunchucks item requires even more information.
Players should wait for the July 29 update notes or live store interface before calculating the maximum cost. NARAKA often discounts complete packs more heavily than their individual contents, but that pattern should not be used to invent a price before publication.
The same caution applies to availability.
The items become available on July 29 PT. The official preview does not establish that every component will remain permanently in the store or that they will all leave on the same date.
Cosmetic value depends on where the player actually sees it
Lannie and Zai outfits provide their greatest visibility in third-person gameplay, character selection, social areas and post-match presentation.
Weapon skins behave differently.
The Nunchucks remain visible while equipped, during attacks and through many movement animations, but disappear whenever the player switches weapons. Their four-design structure may create collection appeal without guaranteeing frequent in-match use.
Additional cosmetic categories have their own limitations.
Hairstyles can be partially obscured by some head accessories. Backgrounds and bases are restricted primarily to presentation screens. Poses are visible during specific menus or interactions. Ultimate accessories may appear only when the associated ability is activated.
A large pack can contain several items while deriving most of its practical value from one outfit.
The store preview should therefore be evaluated through use rather than item count alone.
The three collections target completely different players
The July 29 lineup is cohesive as a store update precisely because its components are not visually cohesive with one another.
Lannie’s Ancient Isle collection targets players attracted to mythic anniversary imagery and Wanchu’s mysterious civilization.
Zai’s Sweet Dreams set is built around contrast, character humor and a softer lifestyle aesthetic.
The Summer Party Nunchucks target weapon collectors and players who prefer playful seasonal cosmetics across several possible styles.
There is no reason one player needs all three.
The update avoids making every premium item part of a single visual direction, but it also places several unrelated purchasing decisions onto the same date. The best option depends on hero usage, weapon preference and existing collection ownership.
A visually impressive item for a rarely selected hero may provide less lasting value than a simpler skin attached to a weapon used every week.
July 29 gives NARAKA three different forms of escapism
The new store update moves between mythology, comfort and summer celebration.
Lannie enters the Ancient Isle collection as an acrobat surrounded by the mystery of NARAKA’s newest battlefield. Zai temporarily exchanges the visual language of punishment for the Sweet Dreams series, creating a deliberate contradiction between her outfit and the violence of her abilities.
The Nunchucks complete the release with four randomized Summer Party designs intended to make one of the game’s fastest weapons substantially less serious.
The official preview confirms that all three arrive on July 29 PT.
It does not yet confirm their final prices, complete pack contents, random-item rules or removal dates. Those details will determine whether the update offers straightforward direct purchases or a more complicated collection economy.
The visual identities are already clear.
Lannie is entering an ancient island legend.
Zai is going to sleep with her chains nearby.
The Nunchucks are apparently taking four separate holidays.
