Out-of-this-world collaborations remain a core part of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, but the new partnership with Armor Hero II takes the chaos to a whole new level. NetEase has officially confirmed the franchise's return to the melee battle royale with a second crossover event that will transform Morus Isle into a battlefield dominated by alien invasions, experimental power suits, and interdimensional warfare.

The collaboration will be available starting May 19, bringing back elements from Armor Hero, a highly popular franchise in Asian entertainment centered around armored heroes and futuristic combat.

According to the official announcement, the narrative kicks off with the Ares Spaceship crashing directly onto the battlefield while the Sin Demon Legion invades from the sky, turning the Herald’s Trial mode into a full-blown sci-fi warzone.

And the tone feels deliberately over-the-top.

Far from the traditional Eastern fantasy setting that usually defines NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, this collaboration fully embraces an aesthetic inspired by mechas, experimental technology, and armored heroes evolving mid-combat.

Characters Inor Wan and Tarka Ji will be the central figures of the crossover, taking on the forms of Ares and Mars, respectively. The most interesting detail is that these suits won't just function as simple cosmetic changes; they will progressively evolve during encounters based on parries, eliminations, and attacks executed by the player.

This mechanic fits perfectly with NARAKA’s identity, where mechanical skill, defensive timing, and counterattacks are the pillars of combat. Tying battle performance to the visual and functional evolution of the armor could add an exciting extra layer of progression during matches.

This crossover further demonstrates just how willing NARAKA: BLADEPOINT is to experiment with radically different themes without compromising its core gameplay loop. In recent years, the title has freely mixed martial arts, Eastern fantasy, cyberpunk, and external collaborations.

Visually, the teaser leans heavily into energy explosions, glowing power suits, and environments overrun by alien technology, creating one of the most extreme thematic contrasts seen in the game's universe to date.

The community has already begun reacting to the teased armor evolution system and the return of Armor Hero for a second time, a clear indicator that the initial collaboration achieved enough success to justify an expanded sequel.

Furthermore, the use of the phrase “second descent upon Morus Isle” hints that NetEase wants to establish a sense of narrative continuity around the crossover instead of treating it as a one-off event.

With Armor Hero II, NARAKA: BLADEPOINT proves once again that few franchises can blend traditional melee combat and visual madness so effortlessly. Starting May 19, the battlefield will cease to be just a duel between warriors... and become a full-scale space war between armored heroes and invading forces.
