Beacon update brings robotic settlements and multi-town management to No Man’s Sky

05/06/2025 - 12:30

The Beacon update in No Man’s Sky expands the universe in bold new directions, letting players become mayors of multiple settlements. With this new feature, an Overseer can now manage several towns at once, without giving up previous responsibilities—perfect for those building a galactic legacy.

A major highlight of the update is the debut of Autophage settlements, representing the latest race added to the game. These massive robotic cities feature a distinct industrial, sci-fi aesthetic, and players can now build with exclusive Autophage parts to bring that same mechanical look to their own bases.

Beacon also introduces new types of buildings, like jukebox bars with customizable music, shops to craft your own starships, and even fishing ponds for those chill downtime moments between adventures. Every structure you upgrade or build adds personality and functionality to your settlement.

The galaxy keeps evolving—are you ready to lead it? More information here.
