Once Human activates the Devourer's Dark Hunt, where stealth is the only way to survive

Danger has evolved inOnce Human. With the release of Version 2.3.5, the game introduces one of its most nerve-wracking phases to date: the Devourer’s Dark Hunt, an update that completely fundamentally shifts how players engage with this entity.
The mechanic is as simple as it is terrifying. During a blackout, the environment is plunged into total darkness, and survival stops being about firepower—it becomes about absolute silence. Every movement and every split-second decision can betray your position. In this darkness, direct combat takes a backseat to an experience where trigger discipline and patience are everything.
But it’s not just about running away. The update introduces a high-risk alternative: luring the Devourer into a lethal explosion to launch a counter-attack. This duality—hiding in the shadows or risking it all on a trap—adds a strategic layer that turns every encounter into a masterclass in tension.
The patch also expands the world with new entities. Enter Brave George, a front-line ally who acts as a protector, providing crucial support in life-or-death situations. Alongside him come new threats like the Sea Rabbit and the Morphic Tree—enemies whose deceptive appearances can lead to a swift demise if not managed correctly.
Looking toward the immediate future, the developers have confirmed that terraforming will arrive in Eternaland on April 9. This feature will allow players to modify their surroundings, opening up a new world of possibilities for both exploration and base-building.
With this update, Once Human reinforces its identity as a game where the true horror isn't just what you can see... it’s what you can’t control.
The question is inevitable: When the darkness covers everything, will you be able to keep your cool... or will you make the one mistake the Devourer is waiting for?
