Once Human has introduced Duskfire Breaker, a new limited-time Lightforge Loot Crate built around violet energy, dying embers and a mysterious warrior moving through the darkness. Available following the September 2 maintenance update, the crate contains a new Legendary Fashion Set, a Legendary vehicle appearance, a group action, a backpack cosmetic and an Epic melee weapon skin alongside a broader selection of secondary rewards.

The collection’s principal rewards are the Legendary Shadow Trace vehicle skin and the Legendary Sigh of Ember Fashion Set. They are joined by the Legendary Thug Overture group action, the Legendary Crimson Thorn backpack cosmetic and the Epic Molten Heart heavy melee weapon skin.

Duskfire Breaker is part of Once Human’s Version 3.0.5 update, which also introduced storage searches, expanded fashion-dye functionality and portable crafting in RaidZone. The crate is available for a limited period, although NetEase has not published a closing date in the official update announcement.

Duskfire Breaker embraces the violet night

The new Lightforge collection adopts a darker fantasy identity than many of Once Human’s more colorful or futuristic cosmetic releases. Its official description revolves around an ember that refuses to die and a silent destroyer emerging after the final starlight has disappeared.

Violet serves as the collection’s defining color, contrasted against black materials, glowing details and the suggestion of residual fire. That combination gives Duskfire Breaker a supernatural appearance while remaining compatible with the game’s post-apocalyptic setting.

The name also communicates the two sides of the collection. “Duskfire” represents its mixture of darkness and flame, while “Breaker” gives the cosmetics a more aggressive identity suited to combat and high-speed traversal. This direction is carried across the character outfit, vehicle skin, equipment and social animation rather than being limited to a single item.

As a result, players who obtain several of the featured rewards should be able to create a more coherent visual loadout. The Fashion Set establishes the character’s appearance, Crimson Thorn changes the backpack and Molten Heart extends the theme to melee combat. Shadow Trace then carries the same identity into vehicle travel.

Shadow Trace leads the collection

The Legendary Shadow Trace vehicle skin is one of Duskfire Breaker’s most prominent rewards. Once Human has increasingly used vehicle cosmetics as centrepieces for its premium collections, since these appearances remain visible during exploration and can be shown to other players in shared environments.

Shadow Trace adopts the crate’s dark, violet-led aesthetic, transforming the corresponding vehicle into something designed to move through the night. Its name suggests a machine that leaves little more than a disappearing trail behind it, complementing the collection’s description of an unseen figure riding through the dust.

Although the promotional material highlights the vehicle in action, the skin should be treated as a cosmetic appearance. NetEase has not announced additional speed, durability, handling or gameplay bonuses connected to Shadow Trace. Its value comes from its visual presentation rather than a mechanical advantage.

This distinction is particularly important in an open-world survival game where vehicles have practical uses. A premium skin can significantly change their appearance, but it does not automatically alter the statistics of the underlying vehicle unless the game explicitly identifies such a benefit.

The Sigh of Ember Fashion Set completes the look

Sigh of Ember is the Legendary Fashion Set included in the featured reward pool. The outfit follows the same combination of darkness, violet illumination and fading heat that defines the rest of Duskfire Breaker.

The collection arrives alongside a wider upgrade to Once Human’s fashion-dye system. Version 3.0.5 added clearer indicators for compatible items, improved status information for equipped dye presets and introduced batch management for individual outfit parts. A new Simple Mode also allows players to recolor an entire selected component without manually adjusting every available section.

However, the official update notes do not explicitly identify Sigh of Ember among the sets receiving custom dye support. Players should therefore verify the outfit’s available customization options inside the cosmetics interface rather than assuming that every section can be recolored.

The Fashion Set is accompanied by Crimson Thorn, a Legendary backpack cosmetic that extends the visual theme to one of the most frequently visible pieces of survival equipment. This makes it possible to maintain the collection’s identity without hiding it whenever a backpack is equipped.

Thug Overture provides a different form of personalization. As a Legendary group action, it is designed for social use with other players instead of changing combat or exploration. Once Human’s group actions allow coordinated poses and animations to become part of the cosmetic package, giving squads another way to display their collections together.

Molten Heart brings the flames into melee combat

The final major item is Molten Heart, an Epic cosmetic for a heavy melee weapon. Where Sigh of Ember and Shadow Trace emphasize the darker side of the collection, Molten Heart represents the fire that remains underneath it.

Weapon skins help ensure that a premium theme remains present during active gameplay rather than appearing only in menus or social areas. Molten Heart allows the player to carry Duskfire Breaker’s imagery directly into close-range encounters without changing the underlying weapon’s combat statistics.

The crate also contains several additional Epic and Rare rewards. These include the Blowing Snow Hairstyle Pack, Silver-Veined Bone, the Night Unending and Beast Alert decals, the Join Us weapon charm, the Heavenly Eye sticker, the See No Evil weapon charm and the Sea Reverie sticker.

These secondary items occupy separate probability categories from the principal Lightforge Collection rewards. Consequently, players opening the crate may receive smaller customization items while working toward the featured vehicle, outfit or equipment cosmetics.

Official probabilities explain the randomized reward system

NetEase has published the complete category probabilities for Duskfire Breaker. Each opening has a 7% chance of awarding a Lightforge Gem. The combined probability of receiving one of the four Legendary Lightforge Collection rewards is 0.32%, while the Epic Molten Heart collection reward has a probability of 0.68%.

Other Epic rewards collectively account for 50.7% of the pool, while the remaining Rare rewards represent 41.3%. These figures apply to reward categories rather than necessarily giving every individual item within a category an identical probability.

The four rewards included within the 0.32% Legendary category are Shadow Trace, the Sigh of Ember Set, Crimson Thorn and Thug Overture. Since that percentage covers the complete category, it should not be interpreted as a 0.32% probability for each individual Legendary item.

Lightforge Gems provide an additional route through the collection’s redemption system. Under the updated Lightforge rules, one Gem is guaranteed within every 20 openings if it has not appeared earlier. Receiving a Gem resets the relevant guarantee counter.

The Redemption Shop allows players to exchange the appropriate resources for cosmetics from the active Lightforge Loot Crate. Exact redemption requirements should be checked through the Duskfire Breaker interface before purchasing Ingots or committing to repeated openings.

How much does a Duskfire Breaker opening cost?

Opening the crate requires one Lightforge Ingot. According to the official rules, an Ingot carries a standard value of 160 Crystgin, while the first ten eligible Lightforge Ingot purchases for a crate theme are offered at half price.

The Version 3.0.5 update also introduced Lightforge Ingot packs starting at 60 Crystgin. These packages are available through the Lightforge Deals section of the Super Value Deal menu and combine Ingots with other discounted items. Contents and comparative value may differ between packs, so players should examine each offer rather than assuming that every opening costs the promotional starting amount.

Every opening awards either a cosmetic or a Lightforge Gem. Cosmetics obtained through the system can be shared by all characters on the same account.

Duskfire Breaker is limited-time content and will be removed after its availability period, although Lightforge crates may return in the future. Unused Lightforge Ingots, Gems and Relics remain attached to the account and can be used with other compatible Lightforge crates.

NetEase has not disclosed Duskfire Breaker’s end date in the main update announcement. Anyone interested in the collection should consult the in-game page for the current countdown and final purchasing conditions.

Part of a broader quality-of-life update

Duskfire Breaker arrived alongside several practical improvements in Version 3.0.5. Players can now search storage crates and Storage Terminals by entering keywords, reducing the time required to locate materials spread across a developed Territory.

RaidZone received a Portable Crafting feature that allows items previously tied to campsite crafting to be produced directly through the backpack. Campsites remain useful as temporary respawn locations and cooking areas, but they are no longer required for every supported recipe.

The update also refined controller shortcuts, adjusted Scenario Honor scoring, improved first-person character shadows and fixed several problems affecting cosmetics, Deviations, territories and mobile stability. Part of its larger download is also being used to preload map resources for the upcoming Isles of Abyss scenario.

For players primarily interested in customization, however, Duskfire Breaker is the headline addition. Its combination of the Sigh of Ember Fashion Set, Shadow Trace vehicle skin and complementary equipment establishes a complete cosmetic identity rather than relying on one isolated premium reward.

The Duskfire Breaker Lightforge Loot Crate is available now in Once Human following the September 2 update. Its exact remaining availability period and redemption requirements can be reviewed through the in-game Lightforge interface.
