Overwatch 2 kicks off Season 18 with Stadium Quick Play

Season 18 of Overwatch 2 arrives on August 26, introducing Stadium Quick Play, a fresh format designed to deliver faster matches, streamlined item economy, backfill support, and full Cross Play. Bigger battles and sharper strategies are about to take center stage.

At launch, heroes like Winston, Brigitte, and Pharah will shine in this new mode, while Tracer joins mid-season to shake things up with her high-tempo style. The update also debuts Payload Race, a brand-new mode, alongside three new maps and the strategic Draft Mode, letting teams outsmart rivals with smarter counter-picks before the fight begins.

The season also welcomes Wuyang, the gifted Support hero from Wuxing University. His toolkit focuses on tactical repositioning and team utility, rewarding players who excel in precision, adaptability, and timing.

With more than 50 new Perks being added—ensuring at least one for every hero—plus a full Competitive Rank Reset, the season sets the stage for a fresh competitive climb. On top of that, players can look forward to Sojourn’s Ultraviolet Sentinel Mythic Skin, the new Premium Battle Pass, and plenty more surprises still under wraps.
