PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS is preparing for a collision with the supernatural as JUJUTSU KAISEN arrives on Erangel. The newly revealed collaboration transforms parts of the classic battle royale map into themed locations, introduces an interactive appearance from Satoru Gojo and brings a sizeable collection of character sets, weapon skins and limited-time rewards to the game.

Krafton is calling the crossover the “Erangel Incident,” an appropriate name for an event designed to make PUBG’s most recognisable battlefield feel noticeably different. Although Erangel receives the most substantial environmental changes, elements of the collaboration will also appear across every map.

The PUBG x JUJUTSU KAISEN content is scheduled to arrive on PC following maintenance on September 10, 2026. Console players will receive it one week later, on September 17.

Erangel Becomes the Centre of the Incident

The biggest changes are reserved for Erangel, where selected warehouse buildings will be converted into JUJUTSU KAISEN-themed spaces. Krafton is also adding warehouses in new locations, meaning the collaboration will have an effect beyond simply decorating structures that were already part of the map.

Inside these special warehouses, players will find life-size character standees and dedicated photo areas. These additions are primarily intended to provide recognisable crossover imagery and social opportunities, but the buildings will also contain themed vending machines capable of dispensing healing and boost items.

That gives the warehouses an actual function during matches. They will not merely serve as places to admire the collaboration: players may have a practical reason to include them in their routes, particularly when recovering after a fight or preparing to move towards the next safe zone.

The introduction of additional warehouse locations could also influence early rotations and landing decisions. Krafton has not presented the crossover as a fundamental overhaul of Erangel, but the availability of consumables may naturally attract squads to the new structures. As always in PUBG, any location offering useful supplies can quickly become the scene of an ambush.

JUJUTSU KAISEN designs will also appear on billboards distributed throughout Erangel, giving the collaboration a visible presence even when players are not directly visiting one of the converted warehouses.

Satoru Gojo Brings Infinite Void to the Starting Island

The collaboration begins before the aircraft even takes off. Every map will feature a JUJUTSU KAISEN Box on its starting island, along with an interactive activity involving Mysterious Orbs.

Upon entering the starting island, each player receives 20 of these orbs. They can be thrown at the special box, and once it has been struck 20 times, it opens to reveal a statue of Satoru Gojo.

The appearance is accompanied by Domain Expansion: Infinite Void, which activates within a fixed radius around the statue. The effect remains visible for 15 seconds before disappearing.

Because this interaction takes place during the pre-match period, it does not give players access to Gojo’s abilities during the actual battle royale. Instead, it functions as a shared spectacle that the lobby can activate while waiting for the match to begin. It should also make the crossover immediately noticeable, including on maps that have not received Erangel’s redesigned warehouses.

The collaboration will remain visible after players board the aircraft. Its exterior is receiving a complete JUJUTSU KAISEN makeover on every map, while Care Packages will use a new themed appearance throughout the event.

These presentation changes help connect the entire match to the crossover without replacing PUBG’s established structure. Players will still parachute onto the battlefield, search for equipment and fight to become the last survivor, but many of the familiar visual landmarks surrounding that loop will carry JUJUTSU KAISEN branding.

The themed world content will be available in Normal Matches, Ranked and Casual Mode.

Progressive Weapon Skins Headline the Collection

Much of the crossover’s unlockable content will be divided between the Hideout, Workshop, Crafter Pass and in-game Store.

The most prominent Hideout reward is the Ryomen Sukuna – Beryl M762, a Progressive weapon skin with ten upgrade levels. Its progression includes alternate appearances, attachment skins, a headshot elimination statistic, a weapon-inspection animation, a customised elimination feed, a Deathbox design and a special elimination effect at the maximum level.

The skin will be available through Ryomen Sukuna Contraband Crates. These crates can only be opened with G-Coin or Ryomen Sukuna Vouchers, although players will be able to purchase up to 50 individual vouchers with BP.

Two more upgradeable weapons are being introduced through the Workshop. The Satoru Gojo – M24 is another ten-level Progressive skin with its own evolving appearance, inspection animation, attachment designs, Deathbox skin and final elimination effect.

The Megumi Fushiguro – VSS has a shorter six-level progression path. Its available upgrades include magazine and stock cosmetics, a headshot statistic, an inspection animation, an elimination-feed skin and an intermediate visual form.

Several additional collaboration weapons will be available without the same extensive progression systems. These include the Yuji Itadori – SLR, Megumi Fushiguro – Vector, Satoru Gojo – M416 and Suguru Geto – Mini14. The collaboration also features themed pans for JUJUTSU KAISEN and Suguru Geto, with Geto’s pan offering three upgrade levels.

Four Character Sets Enter Special Crafting

Special Crafting will allow players to exchange JUJUTSU KAISEN Tokens for complete cosmetic sets based on Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki and Satoru Gojo. Each character set requires 1,500 tokens.

The Satoru Gojo – M24 and Megumi Fushiguro – VSS each cost 2,000 tokens, making them the most expensive individual crafting options. Other available rewards include a JUJUTSU KAISEN charm collection, parachute, Cargo Tickets, credits, keys, key fragments and Artisan Tokens.

Players obtain materials by opening JUJUTSU KAISEN Cargo in the Workshop’s Supply Bay. Cargo can be opened using dedicated tickets or G-Coin, while opening certain quantities grants milestone rewards. The list begins with an additional Cargo Ticket after 15 openings and eventually offers items such as tokens, polymers, schematics, a character-set selection ticket and a JUJUTSU KAISEN pan.

Cargo Tickets will also be sold for 10,000 BP each, with a limit of 50 per account. This creates a route for players to participate with accumulated in-game currency, although the more valuable crafting rewards still require significant numbers of tokens.

The associated Crafter Pass includes daily, weekly, seasonal and achievement missions. Pass XP can also be earned through survival time, tying its progression to regular PUBG matches rather than requiring participation in a completely separate mode. The pass has a maximum level of 70, with the XP requirement gradually increasing beyond level 40.

Collaboration Missions Offer Additional Rewards

A dedicated event will encourage players to interact with the changes introduced on Erangel. Its objectives include entering the lobby, striking a JUJUTSU KAISEN Box five times with Mysterious Orbs, entering one of the themed warehouses and using the special vending machines.

Completing the available missions can award a Supply Loot Cache, 20 Contraband Coupons and two JUJUTSU KAISEN Cargo Tickets.

On PC, this mission event runs from September 10 until September 24 at 02:00 UTC. Its console version begins on September 17 and concludes on October 1 at the same time.

Two collection-focused challenges will remain active for longer. “The Collector” asks players to equip the Megumi Fushiguro – VSS, Satoru Gojo – M24, Suguru Geto – Pan and Ryomen Sukuna – Beryl M762. Doing so unlocks the Subway Station reward.

The Draw Challenge, meanwhile, rewards the Ryomen Sukuna – Beryl M762 after opening 200 of its corresponding Contraband Crates. Both challenges end on October 14 for PC and October 22 for consoles.

A Crossover Built Around PUBG’s Existing Formula

The Erangel Incident does not appear intended to turn PUBG into an ability-based battle royale or give competitors supernatural combat powers. Its focus is instead on environmental changes, pre-match interactions, cosmetic collecting and a handful of new opportunities to obtain healing supplies.

That distinction is important. Satoru Gojo’s Infinite Void is presented as a temporary starting-island spectacle, while the actual matches retain PUBG’s familiar reliance on weapons, positioning, resource management and squad coordination.

Even so, the redesigned warehouses and vending machines give the collaboration a stronger connection to active matches than a conventional collection of costumes. Erangel remains the battleground players know, but the additional structures and useful supplies should ensure the JUJUTSU KAISEN crossover is not confined to menus or promotional cosmetics.

When the event begins, players will be able to experience the transformed locations, summon Gojo before matches and pursue an extensive selection of character-inspired equipment. The result is one of PUBG’s more elaborate anime collaborations, turning its original map into the stage for an incident that extends from the starting island to the final circle.
