Aurora arrives with update 0.18

V0.18 is here and it is, without a doubt, the biggest game update Predecessor has ever seen. Predecessor is going to be Free to Play!

After an extremely successful Closed Beta period on PlayStation and over 15 months of Early Access development on PC, the Predecessor team has announced that the Open Beta will next begin. On March 28, 2024, Predecessor will move into Open Beta and will be free for everyone. This is a critical phase for development: the game will be free in the Open Beta because as many players as possible need to play. Having many players in many regions means you can track performance, make data-driven changes, and learn as you need to as you move toward the finish line.

Season 3 begins!

Welcome to the first game update of Season 3! For starters, a powerful new heroine arrives, one with a storm inside her that blurs the line between good and evil! But that is not all! The new UI has finally been released: a complete visual overhaul of how you navigate and interact with Predecessor outside of gameplay, as well as sharing the new ways you'll acquire heroes now that Season 2 is over. Season 2 Rewards

As the end of Season 2 approaches, the Predecessor team has decided to reveal the skin rewards they will be giving out for reaching level 20 and level 30! These are some of the gamers' favorite heroes, given a dazzling coat of paint to match this season's Ascension theme. However, this not all! TwinBlast | New Hero

Predecessor patch v0.8 is here, bringing with it some exciting news!

Predecessor fans are in for a treat, as the development team has just released patch v0.8, packed with new content. The main highlight of this patch is the introduction of a new playable character called Greystone, an imposing and powerful warrior, who arrives on the battlefield in shining armor and impressive swordsmanship. His presence in the game will surely change the meta and add new strategies and possibilities to the matches. In addition to the addition of Greystone, the v0.8 patch also brings with it a number of improvements and tweaks that will significantly improve the gaming experience. Balance changes have been made to existing heroes, which will allow for a fairer and more competitive experience for all players. Bug fixes and UI and gameplay improvements have also been made to provide a smoother and more satisfying gaming experience. The Predecessor developers have been working closely with the gaming community to gather feedback and suggestions, and this patch reflects that collaborative effort. Morigesh arrives with version 0.7!

As the thick mist clears around an angry forest, Morigesh is revealed to be the next hero to join the Predecessor roster. He is a deadly force of nature, but aside from this, there are also many new features in TTK that have already been mentioned frequently and by the development team. Version 0.7 represents the first half of the big sweeping changes that are underway to fully address the TTK (Time To Kill) issues. Specifically, this week the efforts have been focused on Crests, Minion Towers, and XP issues. All of these can be addressed separately and should serve to lay a stronger foundation for the upcoming 0.7.X balance patch which will delve deeper into hero stats, abilities, and basics. Kira is ready for the hunt!

The first original hero who fought to become a Predecessor is here, and she has a new name too! Kira (formerly known by her codename Huntress) silently stalks her targets, closing the distance with a shadowy dash before dispatching her prey with deadly precision. She is capable of dealing death from afar or unleashing a storm of crossbow bolts up close, which she is sure to leave her mark (as well as many feathers) on the battlefield. V 0.4 | Patch Notes

The time has come to talk about the release of Version 0.4 tomorrow, Tuesday, February 21. With this update comes the main act and the next hero to join the roster: Shinbi. But that is not all! This patch introduces major changes to Fangtooth and introduces Primal Fangtooth, a dangerous new version of everyone's favorite deadly dinosaur! This large creature provides a temporary buff to keep games more dynamic while also giving teams more of a counter to early Fangtooth leaders. The first version of the Player vs AI mode also arrives as well so you can play alone or with a group of friends, facing off against the Artificial Intelligence of Predecessor. V 0.3 ready for takeoff

The first major Predecessor update of 2023 is almost here and with it comes some epic changes! The new patch v0.3 will be released this Tuesday; January 24 and we can already see everything we can find in the game. One of the main focuses for this patch is buffing mages. The goal is to make them feel stronger before they even get their first item, without changing their late game power. But that’s not all!
