Capcom is beginning the countdown to Street Fighter 6’s next DLC character with the release of the Arjun Arrives! Fighting Pass. Available from September 8, 2026, the new pass introduces a selection of cosmetic rewards tied to Arjun’s themes, alongside EX colors for existing fighters, new Challenger Screen artwork and a playable version of the classic arcade shooter Giga Wing.

Despite its name, the Fighting Pass does not mark Arjun’s arrival as a playable fighter. The character is scheduled to join Street Fighter 6 on October 13, while the September pass serves as an advance celebration intended to introduce his atmosphere and visual identity before his official debut.

Players can progress through the Fighting Pass by earning Kudos across Street Fighter 6’s different modes. The announced Premium Rewards include new EX colors for Dhalsim and Lily, Challenger Screen illustrations featuring Ryu and Elena, and Giga Wing as the pass’s featured classic Capcom game.

Arjun’s Arrival Begins Before His Playable Debut

Arjun is the next addition to Street Fighter 6’s Year 4 roster, following Yasmine. His release is planned for October 13, meaning the dedicated Fighting Pass begins more than a month before players can select him in an actual match.

That distinction may not be immediately obvious from the “Arjun Arrives!” title. September 8 is the launch date of the Fighting Pass, not the release date of the character himself. The pass does not unlock Arjun early, nor has Capcom announced any form of limited playable trial through this particular promotion.

Instead, it functions as a thematic introduction. Capcom has built the pass around ideas associated with the fighter, including breathing, spiritual discipline and overwhelming physical force. The promotional language encourages players to “take a deep breath” and “enlighten” their spirit, directly echoing the breathing techniques that form the foundation of Arjun’s fighting style.

The fighter’s gameplay debut is therefore being treated as a broader rollout rather than a single-day release. September establishes his theme through rewards and presentation items, while October will bring the character himself to the roster.

Arjun will be available individually using Fighter Coins and will also be unlocked automatically for owners of the Year 4 Character Pass or Year 4 Ultimate Pass when he releases.

Dhalsim and Lily Receive New EX Colors

Two of the pass’s headline Premium Rewards are additional EX colors for Dhalsim and Lily. Capcom has not presented these as new costumes, so players should expect alternative color configurations for their existing outfits rather than entirely redesigned character models.

Dhalsim is a particularly fitting choice for an Arjun-themed pass. Both characters draw upon imagery involving discipline, controlled breathing and spiritual power, even though their individual stories and combat styles remain distinct.

Arjun is designed as a physically imposing fighter who converts his breathing techniques into powerful strikes, projectiles and traps. Dhalsim, by contrast, controls space through his exceptional reach, teleportation and fire-based attacks. Pairing the two through a cosmetic reward reinforces their thematic connection without suggesting that they play in the same way.

Lily’s inclusion creates a different connection. Her fighting style is guided by the spirits of nature and driven by wind-based techniques, making her another suitable character for a pass filled with air, movement and spiritual imagery. Her new EX color gives Lily players an additional visual option without affecting her moves, frame data or competitive properties.

These rewards are cosmetic only. The EX colors do not provide gameplay advantages or modify the abilities of either fighter.

Ryu and Elena Take Over the Challenger Screen

The pass also introduces new Challenger Screen illustrations for Ryu and Elena. These illustrations allow players to change part of the presentation surrounding a match, adding character artwork to the moment when a new opponent enters the fight.

Ryu is an obvious presence in a Fighting Pass centred on personal discipline and strength developed through constant training. His lifelong pursuit of improvement closely complements the spiritual and martial themes Capcom is using to introduce Arjun.

Elena brings a more energetic contrast. Her capoeira-inspired movement, optimistic personality and connection with nature give the pass a lighter element alongside its more serious imagery of meditation and controlled power.

Challenger Screen illustrations do not alter the fighters’ playable appearances. They are presentation cosmetics rather than costumes, stages or gameplay additions. Their value will therefore depend on how much a player enjoys personalising the visual identity surrounding online matches.

Although Ryu and Elena are prominently featured, Capcom has not indicated that either fighter will receive balance changes as part of the Fighting Pass. The announcement is focused on rewards, not a new competitive update.

Giga Wing Brings Arcade Chaos to the Pass

The most substantial reward outside Street Fighter 6’s cosmetic ecosystem is Giga Wing, the classic arcade shooter originally released in 1999. Developed by Takumi Corporation and published by Capcom, the game places players in control of heavily armed aircraft fighting through enemy formations and screens filled with projectiles.

Giga Wing is particularly known for its intense bullet patterns, enormous scores and Reflect Force mechanic. Rather than relying exclusively on evasive movement, players can deploy a temporary barrier that reflects incoming projectiles back towards enemies. Successful use of this system transforms defensive timing into an offensive weapon.

Its inclusion continues Street Fighter 6’s tradition of using Fighting Passes to resurface titles from Capcom’s arcade history. These classic games offer a more meaningful reward than a static cosmetic because they provide a separate playable experience, even if they remain bonus content rather than additions to Street Fighter 6’s core fighting systems.

Giga Wing does not have a direct narrative relationship with Arjun. Its inclusion appears to be based primarily on the pass’s air and wind imagery: a high-flying shooter fits naturally alongside a character whose techniques revolve around controlling his breath and generating destructive pressure.

For players interested in Capcom’s arcade catalogue, it may ultimately be the pass’s most distinctive unlock.

Progression Remains Tied to Playing Street Fighter 6

As with other Street Fighter 6 Fighting Passes, progression is based on earning Kudos. These points are accumulated by participating in the game’s activities, allowing players to advance through reward tiers while spending time in modes they would normally play.

The structure means competitors are not required to learn a specific character or achieve a particular online rank to make progress. Fighting Passes have historically been designed to reward general engagement across Street Fighter 6 rather than high-level competitive success.

The Premium track provides access to the highlighted Arjun-themed rewards. However, Capcom’s public announcement does not provide a complete written inventory of every tier, so additional items should be checked directly through the in-game Fighting Pass menu before spending Fighter Coins.

That menu will also provide the most precise information regarding the pass’s availability window and progression requirements. Capcom has confirmed the September 8 launch date but has not included a closing date in the accompanying public description.

A Thematic Preview Rather Than a Character Expansion

The Arjun Arrives! Fighting Pass should be understood as supporting content rather than the character’s actual expansion. It adds no new combat mechanics, does not rebalance the existing roster and does not grant early access to Arjun.

Its purpose is to create anticipation while providing existing players with another short-term progression track. The strongest rewards are also spread across different areas of Street Fighter 6: Dhalsim and Lily receive new colors, Ryu and Elena gain presentation artwork, and Giga Wing expands the selection of playable Capcom classics.

That variety makes the pass broader than a package aimed exclusively at future Arjun mains. Players who have no intention of using the new fighter may still find something relevant among the rewards, particularly if they already play one of the four featured characters.

The timing also gives the community space to become familiar with Arjun before his October release. Capcom has already revealed that he will fight using powerful breathing techniques, heavy blows and pressure-based tools capable of attacking an opponent’s defences. The Fighting Pass now extends that identity beyond his move set and into Street Fighter 6’s wider presentation.

Arjun will officially enter the roster on October 13. Until then, the Arjun Arrives! Fighting Pass provides the first playable stage of his rollout, offering new customization rewards and a burst of arcade shooting action from September 8.
