Strinova Showcases Celestial Resonance, a Legendary Skin for the Whisperwind Crossbow

Strinova has released a gameplay showcase for Celestial Resonance, a Legendary skin for the Whisperwind automatic crossbow. The video’s description sets the mood with an image of an endless river carrying away the remains of civilisations and the last traces of their memories. The weapon itself is already part of Strinova: Whisperwind arrived in September as a General Primary Weapon, and the new showcase puts its Legendary appearance in the spotlight.

The distinction matters if you’re returning to the game for the reveal. Whisperwind is the weapon you select for your loadout; Celestial Resonance is the cosmetic shown in the video. Whisperwind’s automatic fire and alternate explosive bolts were both introduced with the base weapon. The showcase doesn’t announce a new firing mode or a balance change tied to the Legendary skin.

How Celestial Resonance fits into Lost Echoes

The Lost Echoes preview identifies Celestial Resonance as its featured Legendary crossbow skin and mentions player cards and effects among the other cosmetics. That gives the gameplay video a narrower focus than the broader preview: it’s a look at the primary weapon in action, while Lost Echoes covers a wider selection of items. The river imagery in the showcase description also gives the collection’s name some context, linking its theme to things that survive only as traces or memories.

The gameplay showcase doesn’t specify how to obtain Celestial Resonance, and the available coverage doesn’t reliably establish its price, currency or full availability window. There’s also no confirmed breakdown of which other Lost Echoes cosmetics come with the weapon skin and which are obtained separately. For players saving currency, the useful distinction is that the reveal confirms the skin’s name, rarity and base weapon; the acquisition terms still need a reliable listing.

What Whisperwind does in a match

Whisperwind is a fully automatic crossbow designed for close to medium range. Strinova’s September notes describe it as light, quiet and easy to handle, with lower damage output and substantial damage falloff over distance. Its bolts also have travel time and drop. In practice, the automatic fire makes it approachable at shorter ranges, but distant or moving targets still ask you to account for how the projectile travels.

Its alternate ammunition gives it a second role. Explosive bolts do less damage to opposing Superstrings but deal extra damage to summons and Crystallines. They have a reload cooldown, and the developer describes them as useful for scouting and clearing obstacles. That gives a squad a reason to pick the crossbow even when a different primary weapon might suit a straight firefight better: its alternate shot can help clear something the enemy has put in the way.

Which Superstrings can equip the crossbow?

Whisperwind arrived alongside Strinova’s Primary Weapon Switch System. Each Superstring has a weapon pool that includes their exclusive primary and a selection of general weapons. Players can change their primary in the Armory, on the Character Select screen or through the String Energy Network. The September notes list five Superstrings who can’t use Whisperwind: Yvette, Bai Mo, Galatea, Audrey and Eika. If you’re considering the skin for a particular character, their weapon pool is the first thing to check.

The switch system also changed what opponents can see in Demolition. The scoreboard displays each opponent’s chosen primary, so a familiar character can bring a different weapon without leaving the other team to guess what they’re carrying. When someone equips Whisperwind, the crossbow’s explosive bolts are part of what you’re playing against, regardless of which skin they’ve selected.

The showcase lands during Seasonless Garden’s final stretch

The reveal comes as Strinova winds down Seasonless Garden. The separate Final Sprint event runs from 5 November at 07:00 UTC to 18 November at 23:59 UTC. Completing daily quests advances its milestones and earns Season EXP and Event Records. The published reward list doesn’t include Celestial Resonance, so returning players can use Final Sprint to finish their season progress while checking Lost Echoes separately for the Legendary crossbow skin.
