Permadeath

Permadeath in games is something of a controversial feature. Permadeath means that if you get killed in the game, you have to start from the beginning, losing all your progress and having nothing for your next playthrough. Permadeath games are challenging, no doubt about it, but something is intoxicating about playing in "do or die" situations, where you're clutching your controlling, feeling nervous and sweaty, doing your best and overcoming unfair odds.
