Paradise is about to become wilder, stranger and considerably heavier. The Crew Motorfest’s Year 4 roadmap will expand its Hawaiian open world with two additional islands, launch a full Tomb Raider adventure, celebrate Asian automotive culture and eventually place players behind the wheel of enormous semi-trucks. Ubisoft Ivory Tower is also preparing competitive TrackForge support, new exploration mechanics and the game’s debut on Nintendo Switch 2.
The next year of content begins on October 7, 2026, with Season 11. Rather than concentrating exclusively on another collection of cars, the studio is treating the season as a substantial expansion of Motorfest’s world and the ways players can interact with it.
Kauai Becomes The Crew Motorfest’s Next Free Island
Season 11 will introduce Kauai as a completely free addition for every player. The new island has been designed as a more remote, sparsely populated and rugged destination than Motorfest’s existing locations, shifting the emphasis from urban competition toward exploration and off-road driving.
Its environments will include dense swamps capable of slowing even well-equipped off-road vehicles and the imposing Red Canyon, one of the island’s major natural landmarks. These areas should provide a noticeably different rhythm from the wide roads, cities and festival spaces found elsewhere in the game.
Kauai will be accompanied by the free Kauai Expedition Playlist, a narrative campaign built around discovering the island and venturing beyond conventional routes. Selected vehicles will be able to use a new winch mechanic to move obstacles, clear blocked paths and transport cargo during particular activities.
The exploration theme will not remain confined to Kauai. Season 11 will introduce a broader discovery system across every Motorfest island, allowing players to uncover routes and gradually advance through a new exploration journey. Wildlife is also being added throughout the archipelago, with more than 40 land, sea and air species to find and photograph.
Bugatti Tourbillon Leads the Season 11 Vehicle Lineup
The Bugatti Tourbillon will be one of Season 11’s headline vehicles. Ubisoft plans to give the hybrid hypercar its own Special Event and Summit Contest, offering players dedicated opportunities to test its performance.
It will be joined by several machines suited to the season’s contrasting themes. The Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato brings supercar performance to loose surfaces, while the Suzuki Jimny will support the new winch system. The futuristic Hyundai Crater Concept is also among the confirmed additions, with further vehicles still to be detailed.
This combination reflects the wider design of the season: extreme performance remains an important part of Motorfest, but exploration, difficult terrain and vehicle utility are becoming more prominent.
Tomb Raider: Secrets of Niʻihau Opens a Premium Adventure
The most unexpected announcement from The Crew Showcase 2026 was Tomb Raider: Secrets of Niʻihau, a premium expansion created in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics. It launches alongside Season 11 on October 7 and will be included with the Year 4 Pass or sold separately.
The expansion opens Niʻihau, a mysterious island previously inaccessible within Motorfest. Every player will be able to see it on the world map, but landing on the island and accessing its activities will require ownership of the DLC.
Guided by Lara Croft, players must investigate the disappearance of her friend Jonah and search for an ancient relic capable of changing history. Instead of presenting a conventional sequence of road races, Secrets of Niʻihau will focus on exploration, environmental enigmas and puzzle-solving. Ancient ruins, natural obstacles and the new winch mechanic will all form part of the journey.
Niʻihau has apparently remained isolated for centuries, preserving more than forgotten architecture. Prehistoric creatures inhabit the island, including a Mosasaurus and a T-Rex involved in one of the adventure’s chase sequences. Five exclusive vehicles will also be included, although Ubisoft has not yet revealed the complete selection.
The crossover therefore appears to be more than a cosmetic promotion. It is being positioned as a distinct campaign that adapts Tomb Raider’s archaeological mysteries and environmental challenges to Motorfest’s vehicle-based structure.
The Festival Is Heading to Nintendo Switch 2
A day after Year 4 begins, The Crew Motorfest will make its Nintendo debut. The game launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on October 8, 2026, with Ubisoft promising the complete Motorfest experience, its Hawaiian open world and its extensive vehicle collection.
Specific technical information about the new version has not yet been provided. Details concerning performance targets, visual modes and potential progression options are consequently still to come, but the release will bring the open-world racer to another platform at the beginning of its largest roadmap yet.
Season 12 Turns Toward Asian Car Culture
Year 4 will change direction again in January 2027. Season 12 is being developed as a celebration of the automotive cultures of Japan, China and South Korea, supported by new manufacturers and a street-racing-focused Playlist.
Chinese marque Yangwang will make its Motorfest debut with several vehicles. Its 2026 U9 Xtreme hypercar is the first confirmed model and is expected to retain the real vehicle’s unusual active-suspension technology, including its signature ability to jump.
The season will also add the 2026 Honda Prelude and the 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT V6. The latter should be particularly attractive to players interested in the tuner and street-racing culture represented by previous entries in The Crew series.
Season 12’s Playlist will revisit the ideas behind Season 8’s Street Riders campaign, transporting that format into Asian urban environments. Races will allow competitors to select their own route between checkpoints, making navigation and local knowledge as valuable as outright speed.
Semi-Trucks Roll into Motorfest in Season 13
Perhaps the most transformative vehicle announcement is being reserved for April 2027. Season 13 will introduce semi-trucks as an entirely new playable vehicle category, dramatically expanding Motorfest beyond its usual cars, motorcycles, boats and aircraft.
Ubisoft has not yet explained how these large vehicles will handle, which trucks will be licensed or what activities will be built around them. The studio has, however, confirmed that the season will explore professional driving and vehicle services.
Experiences inspired by taxi and limousine work are already planned, suggesting a season centred on the different jobs performed behind the wheel. Whether semi-trucks will receive cargo delivery missions or their own competitive disciplines remains unconfirmed, with the category still under active development.
TrackForge Is Preparing for Competitive Multiplayer
Motorfest’s creation tools will continue to grow throughout Year 4. Season 11 introduces the Pure Dirt kit, a new collection of environments and construction elements for building specialised off-road events.
A more consequential TrackForge upgrade is also in development: direct PvP support. Once released, players will be able to compete against one another in online sessions across TrackForge creations, turning community-built courses into multiplayer events rather than primarily shared custom challenges.
Ubisoft has not announced a release date for TrackForge PvP, indicating that the system will arrive later rather than alongside Season 11.
The Year 4 Pass Includes 21 Vehicles and the Tomb Raider DLC
The Year 4 Pass launches on October 7 for $29.99 or €29.99. It includes 21 vehicles in total: 16 delivered through the year’s monthly drops, including four seasonal Elite bundles, plus the five exclusive vehicles contained in Tomb Raider: Secrets of Niʻihau.
Pass owners will also receive the complete Tomb Raider adventure, including its Playlist and access to Niʻihau. Players interested only in that crossover will be able to purchase the expansion separately, although its standalone price has not yet been announced.
To celebrate the Showcase, Ubisoft is additionally offering a free Ford Bronco to players who log into The Crew Motorfest during the 72 hours following the presentation.
With a substantial free island, a story-driven crossover, new manufacturers, expanded creation tools and an entirely different class of vehicle, Year 4 is shaping up as more than another garage update. The Crew Motorfest is steadily evolving from an open-world racing festival into a broader driving playground—one where a Bugatti, an expedition-ready 4x4 and a full-size semi-truck can all belong on the same map.
