Adorable chaos takes over: Meet the whimsical WÖRFy Knight, now live in THE FINALS

05/06/2026 - 13:40

After weeks focused on new game modes, events, and hyper-competitive content, THE FINALS has decided to temporarily dial back the military intensity to make room for something far more unexpected. Embark Studios has unveiled The WÖRFy Knight, a brand-new cosmetic set that puts the game's most chaotic mascot front and center in the weekly store rotation.

The update arrives as part of the content rotation for patch 10.10.0, where the fan-favorite character ÖRF takes full control of the storefront with a cosmetic bundle blending humor, medieval fantasy, and the characteristically absurd style that has defined much of THE FINALS’ visual identity in recent months.

ÖRF becomes a knight... more or less

The centerpiece of this week's update is the WÖRFy Knight Armor set—a suit of armor inspired by classic knights but reinterpreted through the peculiar lens of ÖRF.

According to the official description, the character is accompanied by several of his companions and arrives ready to "serve up... mischief" inside the Arena. The presentation maintains the witty tone Embark usually reserves for its most extravagant cosmetics, further cementing ÖRF's stardom within the game.

ÖRF Trading Cards take the stage

The update doesn't stop at the new outfit.

Embark has also introduced the first-ever ÖRF Chaos Trading Cards, a new cosmetic item inspired by classic trading card booster packs. The studio even poked fun at the community, warning players to be careful with the card corners because "they're sharp.".

Items like this continue to reinforce THE FINALS’ strategy of turning many of its cosmetics into small pieces of in-universe humor and narrative flavor.

The community is already split

As is usually the case with the most eye-catching cosmetics in THE FINALS, the initial reactions from the community have been anything but indifferent.

While a massive wave of players is celebrating the arrival of more ÖRF-related content—calling the set one of the funniest drops of the season—others view it as one of the most bizarre designs released to date.

Ultimately, this exact knack for sparking conversation has become a signature trademark of the game's customization system.

THE FINALScontinues to double down on a unique visual identity

Since launch, Embark has actively avoided following the cookie-cutter trends of traditional competitive shooters.

Instead of focusing exclusively on tactical gear or realistic military aesthetics, the studio has built a massive collection of cosmetics that blends sci-fi, pop culture, fantasy, corporate satire, and absurd humor.

The recent Safehouse Standard Event Pass, the contents of ALFA ACTA, and now the new WÖRFy Knight are textbook examples of this design philosophy.

A big week for ÖRF fans

While it doesn't introduce balance changes or new gameplay mechanics, The WÖRFy Knight proves that Embark is still dedicating resources to expanding the visual lore of THE FINALS between major updates.

And if this new store rotation makes one thing clear, it's that not all heroes in the Arena wear imposing armor or futuristic tech.

Some just show up packed with an overdose of cuteness, chaos, and a bizarre sense of humor named ÖRF.
