Respec Order 2.0 Turns THE FINALS Update 10.12.0 Into a Fresh Balance Test

19/06/2026 - 08:45

Embark Studios has released THE FINALS Update 10.12.0, bringing back Respec Order in its new 2.0 format while launching Sponsor Showdown, new Twitch Drops, the Bonus XP Feast event, and a fresh store drop led by the Miss Behayvin’ Set. The update is less about a massive content expansion and more about live testing, progression acceleration, sponsor competition, balance tuning, and bug fixes across several parts of the game.

The headline feature is clearly Respec Order 2.0, a returning World Tour experiment that once again adjusts the health and movement speed of different Builds. This time, however, Embark is expanding the test with additional changes to Weapons and Specializations, making the event more detailed than the first version.

Respec Order 2.0 puts Build identity back under the microscope

Respec Order is one of THE FINALS’ most interesting live-balance experiments because it directly challenges the way players understand the game’s three Build archetypes.

In THE FINALS, the relationship between Light, Medium, and Heavy is central to nearly every team composition. Health pools, mobility, survivability, gadget value, role flexibility, and weapon performance all shape how each Build functions in ranked, casual, and World Tour play. When Embark starts adjusting those foundations, the impact can be felt immediately across the Arena.

With Respec Order 2.0, the studio is again testing modified health and movement values, but this version also brings extra weapon and specialization changes. That suggests Embark is not only asking whether different Builds should move faster or survive longer; it is also looking at how those adjustments interact with the broader combat sandbox.

The official Respec Order 2.0 blog gives useful context for why this test matters. Embark gathered around 53,000 survey responses from the previous version of the event and found that feedback was broadly neutral, with an average score just under 3 out of 5. Players who spent more rounds in the mode scored it slightly higher, and Light-focused players rated it a bit more positively than those who mainly played Medium or Heavy.

That kind of feedback loop explains why Respec Order is returning instead of disappearing after one test. Embark appears to be treating the event as an active design laboratory, using real match data and player sentiment to explore whether THE FINALS’ Build ecosystem can be pushed in new directions without breaking the game’s identity.

Sponsor Showdown turns regular play into a faction race

Alongside Respec Order 2.0, Sponsor Showdown is now live.

The event turns sponsor allegiance into a leaderboard competition, with players earning points for the sponsor they represent every time they play. The likes of ALFA ACTA and ISEUL-T are directly positioned as rivals in a contest for visibility, fame, and end-of-season bragging rights.

The reward structure is simple but smart. At the end of the season, everyone earns sponsor swag featuring the winning sponsor’s logo. That gives players a reason to choose a side even if they are not usually invested in cosmetics or leaderboard placement.

This is also a good fit for THE FINALS’ fictional broadcast universe. Sponsors are not just menu branding; they are part of the game’s identity, visual language, and competitive spectacle. Turning them into a season-wide popularity and activity contest makes that layer of the game feel more active.

For regular players, Sponsor Showdown adds passive progression on top of normal play. You do not need to change your entire routine to participate. You simply represent your sponsor, play matches, and contribute to the overall race.

Twitch Drops and XP Feast give players more reasons to grind

Update 10.12.0 also brings back the Greenroom Glitch Set as Twitch Drops, this time for three additional weapons.

Players can earn the Greenroom Glitch ARN-220 after watching one hour of THE FINALS streams with Drops enabled. Watching for two hours unlocks the Greenroom Glitch Lewis Gun, while four hours grants the Greenroom Glitch P90. These Drops are available until July 2, 2026.

The update also launches the Bonus XP Feast event, designed to help players finish Battle Pass progression and sponsor tiers before the end of Season 10. During the event, Daily Contracts grant up to 200% XP, while gameplay provides up to 150% extra XP and Fans.

This is particularly useful late in a season. Players who have fallen behind on Battle Pass levels or sponsor progression now have a clearer path to catch up without needing to grind at the normal pace. It also creates a practical reason to return even for players who are not deeply interested in Respec Order 2.0.

Together, Twitch Drops and XP Feast make Update 10.12.0 feel like a retention-focused patch. Embark is giving players experimental gameplay, faction competition, cosmetic rewards, and accelerated progression in the same weekly package.

H+ Infuser takes a hit in the balance pass

The main balance change in Update 10.12.0 targets the H+ Infuser.

Embark has reduced its healing per shot from 14 to 11, explaining that the gadget has become the dominant healing device in the game. The developer note points to two factors: the power of the H+ Infuser itself and the Light Build’s mobility and survivability compared with the Medium.

This is a meaningful change because healing tools directly shape the pace of fights. If a healing option becomes too efficient, teams can reset pressure too easily, extend engagements longer than intended, and make certain Build combinations harder to punish.

The developer note also says Embark wants to look at Medium survivability in higher-end play over the longer term. That is the more interesting part. The H+ Infuser nerf is the immediate action, but the studio seems to recognize that healing balance is connected to a wider role-identity issue.

In other words, this is not just about one gadget number. It is about the relationship between support value, mobility, survivability, and Build balance at higher skill levels.

Bug fixes clean up cosmetics, gadgets, movement, performance, and UI

Update 10.12.0 also includes a compact but useful set of bug fixes.

On the cosmetic side, Embark has fixed an issue where Battle Pass Emotes and Inspects could display incorrectly in bundle previews. The ISEUL-T Trendline Track Jacket now shows the correct text, and the Brewed for Trouble bundle thumbnail now properly displays the Jinxbrew skin for the Glitch Grenade.

The Data Reshaper also gets practical fixes. Deployables attached to carriable objects should now reshape properly, and it should be easier to target Lockbolt projectiles when they are placed at uneven heights or surfaces.

Gameplay fixes include a correction for an issue where Ziplines could unexpectedly teleport a Contestant. Performance improvements address a rare crash that could occur when a match was about to start or when using Instant Replays.

Social and UI fixes round out the update, including a matchmaking issue caused by the party leader opening the console UI, a party camera problem in larger groups, and a controller outfit-editing issue where exiting Inspect previously reset the selected item to the top of the list.

None of these fixes are as flashy as Respec Order 2.0, but they matter because THE FINALS is a fast, physics-heavy shooter where small bugs can become major frustrations during live matches.

What this means for players

For active players, Update 10.12.0 is mainly about experimentation and progression.

If you care about the competitive sandbox, Respec Order 2.0 is the most important part of the patch. The event gives players a chance to test altered Build values and provide feedback that could influence future balance direction. Anyone invested in Light, Medium, or Heavy role identity should pay attention to how these changes affect team fights, survivability, rotations, and objective pressure.

If you are chasing rewards, the update is also useful. Twitch Drops provide three weapon cosmetics, XP Feast accelerates Battle Pass and sponsor progression, and Sponsor Showdown adds a season-long competition layer tied to sponsor identity.

For players frustrated by healing dominance, the H+ Infuser nerf is worth watching closely. Reducing healing per shot may make some engagements easier to close out, but the wider question of Medium survivability and Light support value remains open.

For casual players, this is a good week to log in even if you are not deeply invested in balance testing. There are cosmetics to earn, XP boosts to use, sponsor points to contribute, and new store items to check out.

Update 10.12.0 is a live test wrapped in rewards

THE FINALS Update 10.12.0 is not trying to be the biggest update of Season 10. Instead, it is doing something more targeted.

It brings back Respec Order with more nuance, uses Sponsor Showdown to strengthen the game’s sponsor fantasy, gives players Twitch Drops and XP boosts, adjusts a dominant healing tool, and cleans up several practical issues across gameplay, cosmetics, performance, and UI.

The most important part is what happens next. If Respec Order 2.0 generates clearer feedback than the first test, it could help Embark make stronger decisions about Build identity, movement, health, weapons, and specializations in future updates.

For now, the Arena is running another experiment. Contestants can either watch from the sidelines or step in, test the changes, and help decide what THE FINALS should become next.
